Your story is exactly, what has happened at Wacken W-O-A 2018: They were the first All-female Japanese act at Wacken, dressed in white and cute, on the very morning of that day. But then, they blew away the 10.000 fan tent! It was a relatively short setlist of less than half an hour, but people remembered that! (reminds me of Queen on Live Aid 1985 now!)
Their Live Version is Even Better. Fami long riffing at beginning. It's truly Remarkable how Great the whole package of this band is. One in a Million!
LOVEBITES - Stand And Deliver lyrics: Bet the time you got in this game ! Bet the time you got in this game ! You ready ? You ready ? Let the night go deeper than now ! Let the night go deeper than now ! You see ? You see ?
Scream until you break and rip out your heart Forget about everything that is just in your way Stand and deliver 'cause nothing's satisfying Stand and deliver and shoot'em down Stand and deliver 'cause nothing's satisfying Stand and deliver and shoot'em down
This is it, take all in your hand This is it, take all in your hand You ready ? You ready ? This, for me, is never enough This, for me, is never enough You see ? You see ?
Feel the shade that lays deep down in your soul Already know the craziness hiding under that face
Stand and deliver 'cause nothing's satisfying Stand and deliver and shoot'em down Stand and deliver 'cause nothing's satisfying Stand and deliver and shoot'em down We will bring something new to this world Speeding it up and we won't end
Bet the time you got in this game ! Bet the time you got in this game ! You ready ? You ready ? Let the night go deeper than now ! Let the night go deeper than now ! You see ? You see ?

In January, 2020, Midori and Miyako attended NAMM in Anaheim, California. They both put on guitar demonstrations in separate places. Most of the people that stopped to watch had know idea who they were. All they knew was here is a petite Japanese woman putting on a guitar clinic. This is a video clip of Midori at NAMM - ruclips.net/video/PCExGZXA1hs/видео.html
This song was just released as a live version on LOVEBITES' RUclips channel for their upcoming live album "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II" (December 20th, 2023)...
Great reaction Gentelmen.. Welcome back.. If you want to see a solo battle between these two check out Scream for me live from their 2019 Daughters of the dawn concert.. It is a 14 odd back and fourth duel like you have never seen it's smokin Watch if you dare? Best wishes from France
Welcome and thank you for doing this reaction to LOVEBITES again, this is my 2nd love song from this album than SOLDIERS STAND SOLITARY, please check that song, I'm sure you will love it.LOVEBITES ROCK
This is a tribute to NWOBHM...there's Motörhead, Diamond Head and early Iron Maiden in this one! (where Metallica got their influences from) Some riffs reminds me of Helpless from Diamond Head, but the rawness of Motörhead and Iron Maiden.
We indeed heard lots of Metallica's influence on many of their thrashier songs, but this particular song is their homage to the band Motorhead with their song Ace of Spades. They've done one more of this the past with The Crusade, which is their love letter to Iron Maiden's Aces High. Thanks for the reaction!! 🤘🏼🔥🐺🔥🤘🏼
They are the best female metalband on earth and even much better then Metallica is now (after the first tree albums Metallica plays disco with guitars).
Definitely more Motorhead than Metallica here. The recently released live version is just better, as is the case with almost every track by Lovebites. Their songs become alive in the live setting. Try "Liar" live, which is another recent video release. 🤘
The beginning bass lick is definitely Motorhead inspired. Then you get Metallica layered on top. Truth is, Lovebites metal is a blend of all that is good in metal from the late 70's to early 90's.
Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES. Keep LOVEBITES in your future. 【From an interview with Asami(Vo) and Fami(Ba) for a magazine project in Japan】 When Covid19 subsided and the audience was able to speak up, Asami thought it would be nice to have a song that everyone could sing, both on stage and in the audience. Asami wanted to use the sound of "river" in the lyrics, but thought it would be strange to use "river" as the chorus. Asami found "deliver" and thought it would be cool if everyone shouted it out instead of just telling what the word means. For many Japanese, pronouncing and hearing the English "r" and "l" is difficult. From there, Asami arrived at "stand and deliver. "Stand and deliver" is a pirate term that apparently means "Leave all your money!" Asami thought that if he wrote the lyrics as they were, it would be a song about a "pirate king. Asami wanted to avoid that. Asami learned that "deliver" can also mean "to carry out" or "to be free" in addition to "to deliver. Asami uses "Stand and deliver" with the following interpretation and meaning. Stand up and be free! Rise up and be free! Arise and be free! Let's get up and be free! From there, Asami put the following thoughts into the lyrics. Nothing satisfies me. It's boring to be like this every day! Let's go more bouncy! Let's be bold and do something different! Let's break out of our shell!
Pirate ? What is the meaning behind stand and deliver? said in the past by highwaymen when they stopped a carriage (= a vehicle pulled by horses) on a road to demand objects of value from the travelers.
@@deejayem56 It was Asami who mentioned "Pirate King" in the interview. In an interview for a Japanese music magazine project, Asami(Vo) described the songwriting process that way. It is not stated what kind of material Asami used, so we do not know the details. It is impossible to know which English-Japanese dictionary or other reference Asami used, since it is not mentioned. I am not sure if Johnny Depp used this as a reference. I looked this up in Japan and found a photo of Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean in a related article. Asami may have discovered Johnny Depp during her research and may have thought of Pirates of the Caribbean. Since "Highwaymen" was in the 1960s and "Adam & The Ants - Stand" was in the 1980s, it is not clear to me whether Adam & The Ants - Stand was influenced by and produced the song and video. In any case, I would say that it is sometimes used to mean "Leave all your money!" The only way to find out more is to ask Asami on Twitter, etc.
I can say the black hair guitarist Miyako is wondering what she gonna buy after this at the grocery store, and the blonde hair Midori is planning her weight training after this… Lol Anyhow, amazingly looks effortless playing! Must be tons of practice behind these…
Hello from France ! Sorry for commenting on this video so late! If you want to see a beautiful guitar duel between Midori (the blonde) and Miyako (the brunette) I recommend "Scream For Me", it's quite old (2019) but it's really good to listen to! Here is the link : ruclips.net/video/acwkphgzNg8/видео.html Enjoy !
It seems to me that Japanese rock musicians, especially female band members, use 50% of their skills for themselves and 50% for the people they play with. That's why the expression ``duel'' in solo is not appropriate for them. It seems like they are taking on the challenge of their own solo performances in order to achieve the goals they have created together. ---------- from Nippon *This is a text using Google Translate.
