I am a life long Republican from Long Island NY and miss this great man terribly. I didn't always agree with him on the issues, but I knew he loved this country as his brothers did and attempted to make it a better Place. Rest in Peace Teddy.

Great man. He cared for the forgotten and the left behind and those who are not white. A government that does not have compassion toward its weakest members is not worthy of its people. Rest in peace with your family in Heaven.

Joan was too sophisticated for the Kennedys. Instead of allowing her to soar they brought her down to their level. That destroyed her confidence.

@@m.e.d.7997 she was married to the President. Her sophistication was not a threat. It became an asset. Joan was married to the youngest son . Hers was a threat to Jackie and Ted. It was not encouraged. IMO

Ted Kennedy is the reason we have such a large immigration problem. Native born American citizens have lost millions of jobs since immigration focus shifted from Europe to Asia/Latin America.

After doing research on ancestry.com....I found that on my Father's side, the furthest back that I can find, my 7th great grandfather was from Scotland. At some point, one of his children went to Ireland. My Mother's side, I found that most of them were from London, England. Amazing what we can find in this internet era.
