Whats truly funny to me is that, a lot of people either forget or are to young to know. That Charmanders tail going out was a whole plot point. In the original Pokémon show. And that's how Charizard & Ash met. Was him rushing to a Poké Center in the rain while trying to save an abandoned Charmander.

Wait I remember and episode where charizard (in johto journeys) was defeated by another charizard and thrown in water, the flame didn't go out and charizard from there on remained there to train, but then in the orange islands there was when the flame went out or smt and ask took care and charizard started listening to him

Tbh, Pokédex entries nowadays make no bones about the fact that people and Pokémon eat other Pokémon. Hell, Clauncher, Crabrawler, and Barraskewda meat are all noted to be delicious.
