Thanks for posting this. Very helpful. I bought one of these some time ago and installed it just now as we get into the warm weather season. In some ways, it feels like a solution in search of a problem. If it helps keep the car cool during long summer drivers, that's helpful. I like that it folds up easily. The issue with clips coming out of their slots is a bit of a hassle, but not a huge one.
It would be interesting to see the comparison when using the infrared thermometer on the seats (maybe the top of headrests). Those things tend to work better on solid surfaces, and testing the seat actually gives you an idea of heat rejection, rather than heat absorption by the roof material (because, heat absorbed by roof prolly doesn't directly correlate to heat entering the vehicle)
by the way. i have a better idea at getting your tesla cooler without shade. i have reflective snow windshield covers. two would be good on the outside.
So while I don’t feel the heat on top of my head, it certainly increases the ambient temperature in the car. Living in the mountains where temps go below 20, if there is sun out, I feel like I’m in a greenhouse and have to turn on the AC😂😂😂😂 Not complaining though!
You needed to apply the top magnet to the glass with a sticky side and I didn't want to attach anything to the glass and leave it on. Also if I took it off it would possibly leave residue on the glass. Since I didn't plan on keeping the cover on for the most part I didn't want to attach anything to the glass.
I’ve got a couple tips for you. First, attach the clips to the cover first, even semi-permanently, like with Velcro. Second, it’s easiest to get the cover in through the back hatch.
This didn't even look so bad on the inside, he was quite nimble. It might have seemed to last longer and clumsy because he was turning twice to show the difference between the front and rear. But still a very good and decent presentation.
Kind of odd that Tesmanian uses this is some kind of promo video? Or maybe they are just being honest with this review due to poor feedback. Anyway thanks for the review.
So, I noticed Tesla sells a lot of accessories also. It's rare to see any of these official accessories reviewed. Perhaps some video fodder for you? Additionally, I have a 2014 Leaf and it's tange isn't very great (80idh miles per charge). Last weekend I tried a detailing product called Optimum Quick Detailer and Gloss Enhancer. I swear that that added to my range by around 4%. I was very surprised. Sorry about the rant.
That is really interesting. I wouldn’t think it would add that much range! Yeah I should do some more Tesla products but Tesla doesn’t send me anything for free to try out.
@@MiddleAgedTesla Well... consider this, my Leaf is a 2014 year and started life with a minimal range to begin with. I've got 67000 miles on it now and even 1% on it compared to a model ev is like .00005% due to the battery capacity et al. As for the Tesla accessories and in fact all accessories, sometimes review videos come across as more authentic when not provided for free as seen in several of your videos thus far. Just another cost of doing business. Not sure if you're an llc yet or not but you being an accountant would know what's best for sure. Anyway, can't wait to see what you've got in store for future videos. My family and I are big fans!
Buy the one basenor better quality
Is it really?

You're welcome!
Thanks for the video! I’m 6’5” and it was great seeing the headroom.
No problem. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for going through installation twice to show how well it works.
No problem.

Good point. I might have to do a follow up video. Thanks for the idea.
lol you’re on their product page

Thanks for the tip.
Have you driven it with your windows down? Wondering if the wind causes issues? Thanks
Actually if it is hot enough for me to need the sunshade the windows are rolled up and the AC is on so I don’t know.
@@MiddleAgedTesla yeah it's a different type of hot out there. I did buy it and install it. So far so good

I think it does help overall but when it’s in I miss the view!
👍 good product review. 20° difference in the Redding heat is a big deal
Thanks Jeff.
lol i laughed when the sunshade whacked you in the face lol
That’s what I am here for….education and humor!
Was there a reason you didn't try the shade with the included magnets?

Thanks Igor!
Thanks for the video Do you still use it up to now?
Not really. Even though I am tall I don’t get a lot of heat and I love the view.
Thanks for the great videos. I think you might be my people lol
Thanks! We like to have fun!
Is that one of those Tesla Rings that you're wearing? If so, do you plan to do a video about it? Thanks for this vid.
No, just a silicone ring. Good thought for the future though, thanks!
A great review. Thank you!
Thanks Jeffrey.
Job well done. Time to go get a milkshake.
Thanks!
Thanks for this product overview and install. Making my list of things to buy for the M3. Wish I could afford the Model Y😩
No problem. You will love the 3. Any Tesla is so much better than a gas vehicle.
@@MiddleAgedTesla gas car owners gonna get mad lol
The truth hurts sometimes. I still have a diesel truck but prefer driving the Y!!
No. Get Tesla , won’t sag
I actually like the after market two piece. Check out my other video on that product.
your a giant next to your tesla
Yeah, 6’4” and 275lbs but I fit in it great.

They sent me the product to try out, and I reviewed it based on my personal opinion. You’re welcome. I enjoy these reviews.

Looks like a complete pain in the ass
It actually was pretty easy without the additional cover. But I am not sure it is worth the effort for me.
Thanks for the video, mostly because now I know what not to buy LOL that thing is a cheap piece of junk and looks like a pain in the ass.
Check out the video I did on the two piece. I really like that design.
