    For the price of the retractable roof shade $500-$450, I think I would go with the ceramic tint at 70% for the roof panel. Which I was quoted in my area of $450 which will block 99% of the heat coming in the car and keep the full glass.

    • @TheEvilJarrad
      @TheEvilJarrad Год назад +1

      I did 25% and it took my glass temps from 135 down to 110 in August. You go too dark you loose the benefit of even having glass in the first place

      @highmarkrich 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@TheEvilJarradThe ceramic can go up to 98% heat rejection and have no tint, all the way up to full tint.

      Some tint shops won't tint the roof for fear of glass cracking from heat retention

    My 2019X came with that black sunshade. I keep it installed as it reduces glare for my eyes. I would like the one that can open and close, if available for my older X

    I have had a few of these sunshades and always the same issue. They are too big for the font and the plastic clips heat up, deform and allow it to start falling down. There has to be a legit version but with all the over hyped reviews it’s just hard to know what works and what doesn’t.

    Great video for the upcoming Heat Wave season. I have the 2nd one. It's great but with the clips were just part of the visor... it's been a year since I've had it and I've already lost 2 of the clips. Didn't need it for the winter season so took it off now I can't find them. If they could just make it to where the clips didn't come off that would be great! Not looking to install the sliding one like your got, but cool. I'm out here in Nevada serve in the military with a shaved head. Without those visors I head sunburnt during my almost 2 hour commute each way to work so it's absolutley essential for me to have. Yes you will get burnt without a shade above you!

      Hey, thanks for the comment! I can relate with the long commute and shaved head issue. I love our military, so thank you for your service! In regards to the lost clips, I would recommend reaching out to the seller first to see if they'll send you some replacements. If not, you can buy a new set for about $10. amzn.to/3HZQ1Xi

    I live in Hawaii and the tesla is a greenhouse! Way too hot, so I had ceramic tinting installed all around and on the sunroof as well. That was supposed to block out 80% of the heat....not even close, so I'm looking at the covers now and your video is perfect. I like the Kunist and will just leave it installed permanently, but how much heat did it block out compared to the other 2? Thanks!

      I’m sorry I don’t have a scientific answer for you, but it does a great job of keeping the heat off my bald head. The other brands also do a decent job, but I really do like this one a lot.

    I don't get it. What was Elon thinking? Nobody likes the all-glass roof and everyone I know has some sort of shade installed. When I bought my Model 3 having an all-glass roof never felt like a plus.

      The glass roof is actually more structurally ridged that a metal roof and is a structural element, according to Tesla

    I want to say that JUST because of how hot it is i nearly regret i purchased tesla 3 2024, seriously. It's that bad. I tinted all windows including the roof with Nano Ceramic tint and payed sh.t load of money and it's still hot as in hell, AC in Tesla is weak. Now i am trying to find sunshade... embarasing.

      It fits in there pretty tight, so not a lot of rattles. There are a few from time to time, but not enough to be annoying. It’s a good product.
