@RenaMalikMD382 That's kind of you, Dr. Rena! One of the things that I admire and envy is about your specialization as this subject is still a taboo to be discussed by a woman in many parts of the world and especially India. Hat's off you, ma'am!
Though I don’t require this treatment I have had shockwave treatment on a shoulder and after 3 treatments I’ve been pain free. 18months ago. Interesting research and I swear by it
This woman is super smart❤ All her researches and difficult detailed explanation just to keep folks going and happy. Hope you always sets your man to cloud 9? 😊
This procedure works and last permanently. ED is a failure of your entire circulatory system and often a signal of a future heart attack and stroke. Have your heart checked out with contrast/die for blockages and opt for necessary surgeries to fix it.
The problem is that doctors are being overcharged for machines , the technology itself is very cheap to make and been used in other industries. However the equipment prices skyrockets with medical applications
True! A Storz shockwave generator was estimated for me to put into practice and 2-3 years ago, the sales rep wanted approximately $30,000 for a shock wave generator! Obscene pricing and profits for medical devices! Dr Rocket 🚀
I have an appointment in an hour and it's a relief to hear that. I should be good. I'm 51 but I don't smoke and I work out regularly. My issue is that it works when it wants to. Just a 1/4 of a pill works for me. My one issue is that I have MS.
In July of 1991 I was diagnosed with stage 4 Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and had surgery and six and a half months of intensive chemo therapy. Celebrating nearly 12 years cancer free! However, I have had significant ED since the chemo. I took the 9 week shock wave therapy (don't know which one it was) with no benefit. I'm greatful that I'm still here but would like to get my sex life back. The clinic where I took my treatments seemed legit but in talking with other patients in the waiting room hardly anyone seemed satisfied with the program. I'm sure my problem is severe nerve damage from the chemo. I haven't tried the oral medications because I'm sensative to side effects. I'm 76 but going strong. It would be nice to be able to get frisky once in a while. Just sharing my results.
I have not had chemo or cancer, but I did have spinal issues, for which I had a superb operation that restored my ability to walk. However, I was left with a legacy of poor erection capability and some issues differentiating between bladder and other urgency. It no longer troubles my wife, as she died from her melanoma four months ago, but I know it was a source of disappointment to her. The side effects of recent medications have increased my issue in the sexual function area, but I guess at 77 it is something with which I must now live.
One more data point is that I did go to a local clinic that specialized in "Men's Health" and they did offer the LiSWT... the cost for a 6-week trial was around $2,500... by comparison they also offered Testosterone injection therapy - which I tried for 4 weeks (4 weekly injections) for a cost of $200 ($50 per injection). In the week following the first injection, I was "on the fence" whether I could notice any results, but I was told not to expect immediate results. The week following the 2nd injection seemed to produce an improved response to ED medications (I still used and was encouraged to continue using Viagra and Cialis), and it also seemed that I was able to have more orgasms with the normal amount of sexual encounters/opportunities (4 in one week, up from an average of 2 orgasms per week - I am 62 years old). The 3rd and 4th weeks seemed to be more like the 1st week, where I didn't seem to notice much difference (again about 2 orgasms each week, with the same respective accompanying amount of desire. I hope this is helpful! Thank you for your ongoing informative videos!
I have the phoenix, and I've used from 10/15/2021 to 10/15/2022, my protocol was sessions one month on , one month off. right now I'm doing maintenance every other month. I can say confidently say that sound wave tech works!
good to hear..im on my second week first month.. I also started with daily 5 MG tadalafil. also L-Citruline 3g daily..... Are you doing anything esle?? Thank you and congrats!
@@bottanoog9545 my nitric oxide numbers are pretty good already, but I also cycled Tadalafil (which you can take every three days) to open blood vessels. I also took black ginger powder to help with hormones and blood flow, and that destroyed my ED for sure.
Thank you Dr. Malik for this video. It has answered alot of questions i had. You are very easy to listen to and very smart and well educated . Thank you for doing this video. Please make a video on the Phoenix home device and how effective it is . Your viewers are waiting.
Thank you for the detailed information you provide to help have educated discussions with our doctors and knowing what factors we may need to take into consideration when having those discussions.
So, what we need are studies to know which which type machine, which dosing, which setting, frequency of use, duration of treatment, etc. did the best and lower the price significantly ($50/treatment so more people can try it without insurance), the true efficacy rate, whether maintenance treatments are needed, and make it legal per informed decision (determined by patient). Edit: and like Captain Picard would say: Make it so! Now.
Interesting. In 2005 I sold/leased the first ESWT device in Canada, to a prominent athletic physician in Toronto, for the treatment of plantar facietis. Up till then it had been used for the treatment of kidney stones. From what I learned from your video, the science hasn't advanced much in 18 years. Plantar facetious patients had to return every 6 months for more treatement, although they did experience some pain relief. Even then the explanation for relief was increased blood flow and an increase in platelets.lets hope the next 18 years produce more exact clinical evidence through well controlled studies.
Great video. You should do one for post Finasteride disorder. It caused me ED I’m 2 weeks and I know a ton of men that the same happened to them. Do a video on how to fix this.
Thank you for this update Dr Malik. I've been on the fence about getting one of the home shockwave devices. Now i will waite until futher studies are conducted. Please continue to keep us informed on this modality.
How about the Phoenix? Hand held, proven (to some extent), and around $800! Sadly, I'm not going to spend that kind of money and find out that it "didn't work for me" , but it's there!
Hi thank you for bringen ESWT to the attention of men with ED:-) I have treated men i Denmark fore ED for 10 years, And I just want to underline that FSW/ESWT cannot stand alone. If you have diabetes a balanced sugar level is so importent to a longterm result. Medicin kan only do so much. Diet and physical aktivities should always be included. It's the same with atherosclerosis. Pilles will only bring an extenssion in time before an even bigger crash. The longterm effekt by ESWT alone is not glamoures. Sexual activities, physical activities , work load, relation with the partner, medicin and so on, have to be a part of the equation. If you seek af more longterm succesfull treatment.
I've mentioned it once before but have you covered ED and gut/ bowl/ colon issues? Like gut bacteria imbalance and issues like IBS/ IBD. I think that would be a great video to make to educate men on how gut issues can GREATLY impact erections and seem like ED due to them. I mention because Ive personally experienced it for the last decade.
I have made serious attempts along these lines. I Lost 80 lbs and reduced the amount of sugar in my blood, I am a diabetic, and walk three times a day. Eat healthy food, I don't drink. Was never an everyday drinker. Glass of wine 3 or four times a year. I have gone from having no interest, and no erection to having a morning erection. It's important to understand that being with someone that one is attracted to is important. I didn't really have a good result with vigra.
@@Mutlap Glad you lost weight and got better and things started working but I get the feeling the guy was mainly talking about your gut microbiome like good gut bacteria vs bad good bacteria and taking probiotics and stuff but yeah, losing 80 lbs and a gut will definitely help with better erections
I was hoping you would have more information about how well it works in men that have gone through a prostatectomy which I had about two years ago and still not where I need to be. But you did bring up a good point that technology is changing and advancing more and more each year. Just trying to avoid the injections as that's the only thing I haven't done. Was hoping more advances in that type of therapy would have come further for prostate cancer patients that have gone through a prostatectomy.
I'm not a doctor, but my understanding is that the shock wave therapy works on the tissue of the penis. The presence or removal of the prostate would seem unrelated. The NIH, Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins and other fairly respectable online sources should discuss this. On the injection... I hope you don't mean the widely advertised one for Peyrone's disease. That can cause irreversible damage, according to the manufacturer's own data sheets. Finding a competent urologist means asking for a lot of referrals, and probably paying for a consult and exam (bring you records) with several before you find one that treats you as an adult. Shows up on time. And gives you more information than you knew to ask for. Good luck. It is possible, just not easy.
I had a prostatectomy in August of 2019 and have not had much recovery of function. Have tried the injections and it does work, although the sensation is not like a natural erection and is rather disappointing in my opinion. The shot is not painful, you just have to get past the idea of stabbing yourself there. Worth trying in my opinion, perhaps your outcome will be different.
Good information. I am still searching for recovery from prostatectomy 29 months pass by and the best hope it looks is quimestry ....but the one interfering and not helping is the mental psychological . But working on it. Must know your body can do it. Thanks for the video.
Wow, why on gods green earth would you choose surgery over radiation, which is what I had 2 years ago. And at 68yrs old 8 have decrease in sensation and, with the use of Trimix I am still fuckin my brains out several times a week. You should really be us Trimix. It's great!
I've tried the generic ali baba and phoenix. Phoenix cheap plastic broke the 4th time just screwing it on slightly tight. Some electrical tape temp fixed it. Too dang loud if you live in an apartment and respect others. The generic was quieter, more powerful cheaper and can be used for other areas that actually benefit better I would assume. I think there is potential for effectiveness. However, there's a lot of variables to factor. Just my assessment; proper technique. Full contact with constant pressure moving but slower is better. Phoenix directions are so specific to go straight line back and forth at the exact time I feel it distracts you from focusing on delivering proper energy to be effective. Personally, I felt shorter back and forth motions along the shaft end to end was better. Similar to scratching a lotto ticket perhaps. Also semi erect or mostly erect felt like it would be better and makes sense scientificly. Like comparing knocking on a piece of hardwood oak vs. balsa wood. The oak is louder because the sound waves are able to move through and not dispersed and muffled like a lesser dense balsa for example. Only my thoughts to be sensible. I don't know the specifics but I am intuitive and fairly educated. Also it's difficult to say how much is enough for 1 treatment. If you have efficient technique the time allowed by the phoenix could be enough but I doubt most have good technique. Even professional psycisians could have flawed technical. To be good ,like anything else takes practice and time. Assessing technique and adjusting to ensure optimal effectiveness. The machine automatically locks up and if you didn't do it very well you're not going to get a chance for 36 hours and by then you're starting over from scratch again because minute difference was made and nothing to build on so to speak. Which i think is logical. You are working small and slow gradually affecting the cells and building them to regenerate stronger. Hard to say how much time per session or time between because there's many variables the will decide this. Human error, skills of ability, psychological, mechanical, power of device and form of wave created that is needed to hit the precise area. It's more less a crap shoot maybe compare it to say a shot in the dark or pin the tail on the donkey. Lol ok not perfect comparison but it would be better if we could see the cells as the treatments progress. Maybe translucent penises with cell structure that's color differentiated to easily see contrast. Make necessary adjustments and apply to area in need.... While It's absolutely feasible to be possible logically speaking. It's minutely unsure with many variables for possible failure of complete success. I suppose is one way to think of it perhaps... Has potential lacks practical.
Thank you, extremely informative. I’m interested, but need an “at home” option. During an in office session, I know I would have an embarrassing accident. Several times.
If only the medical community would evaluate all prescription drugs with the same skepticism and concern for “safety & efficiency”! I guess when you take out the immediate & long-term earning potential of drugs as a motivational factor, we see a proportional disinterest in approving restorative treatments. Meanwhile it’s totally fine to FDA approve a drug or treatment so long as you tell the public of all the terrible side effects they may experience while taking them. I really struggle to understand the logic being used by those in possessions of “authority”.
Seems like money speaks and talk,Fda approves every damn chemical with all the side effects ,even death for people to take but have issues with non invasive safe no side effect tratment.
Your knowledge is impressive and I think this could've been said in 45 seconds. . . with a lot more efficacy: "It sometimes works but talk with your doctor" 🤦♂️
Dr Malik, do you have any data on the efficacy of the portable or home shockwave devices (Phoenix etc.)? Are you aware if the at-home devices are Focused shockwaves? Thank You
I can absolutely vouch for the phoenix. It has worked miracles for me in just over 2 months. Had a severe blood flow problem have over a dozen stints in my legs so you can probably understand my blood flow was minimal. Back to normal with the help of the shock wave called the phoenix. No I don't get paid by them, getting my love life back was payment enough for me.
the Phoenix is a scam. They are stealing buyers money. I STUGGLED TO GET HOLD OF 1000 BYERS WHO TEIED IT. 0% EFFECACY RATING. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT AND FOR SURE NOT OB ANY OF THE DEVICES MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO. IT'S 2AY OUT TO EXPENSIVE AND THERE IS NO PROOF THAT IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!! I am a Chiropractor and I recently bought a electromagnetic shockwave machine. I charge $50 for musculoskeletal conditions. I cant imagine charging $250 or more for E.D. treatments. I would probably charge $75 honestly. They are way overcharging everyone. You can get professional grade shockwave devicrs for a couple grand from China.
My urologist says, "ehhh ... they are not there yet." Most offices do NOT have the highest-end machine. The University of Miami is on the cutting edge of trails, so you should look to see what they've found.
Gainswave works , lt create new blood vessel and it works for diebatic and high blood pressure, errection without no medication , along with exercise running or walking and bike cycling helps even more , that is hope.

Due to have three more for initial treatment. At this clinic, they will have me come back every year for a recheck. I am an ex diabetic, lost a lot of weight, currently work out with heavy lifting. A1C remains around 5.0. However in the diabetic years, how much nerve damage did it do? Anyway, we will see how it works.

DR Malik; 1st Thanks for another great video that peaks clearly without hype. Now a question: What is/are the tissue/tendons that can cause a shortening of the penis during a hernia surgery? I am about to go in for hernia repair #4 and during # 3 I went to half-length. I want to mention this to my surgeon so he can be attentive to this possibly being an issue in my case. Thanks for all you do.
I think you should include the cost of that treatment & others in your information ! I checked into the cost it is the Thousands of Dollars & months of treatment..
Is electro shock therapy being used to repair nerve damage for Neuropathy ? This caught my ear. How about those personal units you can buy for home use? What are the risks of self treatment without professional skills? Love your channel.
I think this would be present a problem with people that have suffered a heart attack and/or have a stint(s). Reduced blood flow is also caused by the calcification of the arteries and I would think that this type of treatment could cause some of the plaque to break free in the arteries which could then find it's way back to the heart possibly clogging up the the stint(s) and causing another heart attack.
This doc is the crème de la crème of all things sci-med, high end research, statistical interpretation, accuracy, honesty, communication ability, and hotness.

and the best hope it looks is quimestry ....but the one interfering and not helping is the mental psychological .
It's great!
My sensitivity went way up and ed was helped a bit. I'd like to try it again it is hard to get a good cost effective clinic.

Can you use it on shoulder ?
Thanks for the review. I didn't know that there is a generic. I'll definitely look into it.
thank you for information and please keep on giving advice.
Thanks for continuing to make content
Rena Malika thanks you lady for everything for helping me
Thank you, extremely informative. I’m interested, but need an “at home” option. During an in office session, I know I would have an embarrassing accident. Several times.
Thank you for this update. My concern/question would be about treatment options for older Type II diabetics.
Wow the editing and sound were a mess on this one, but great comprehensive coverage of - we don't know yet. Thanks for the info.

Always good.
What's your opinion on the Phoenix at home shock wave therapy?
Your knowledge is impressive and I think this could've been said in 45 seconds. . . with a lot more efficacy: "It sometimes works but talk with your doctor" 🤦♂️
Dr Malik, do you have any data on the efficacy of the portable or home shockwave devices (Phoenix etc.)? Are you aware if the at-home devices are Focused shockwaves? Thank You
Surprised, she didn’t address this in the video itself
Huge issue
RATHER OPT FOR A PUMP-FUNCTIONAL DUAL CILINDRIC PENILE IMPLANT AND VACURECT PENILE DEVICE

I don’t know if this is you Doc. But I need to know.
I sent a question about a month or so and can’t remember what video I posted it. So now I don’t know if you read it and answered it.
Is it possible to put a survey for the people who have the shockwave therapy and their feedback here? This will help
But some of the devices on the market are apparently crap and a waste of money. How to know which one to buy?
Where are you located

My urologist says, "ehhh ... they are not there yet." Most offices do NOT have the highest-end machine. The University of Miami is on the cutting edge of trails, so you should look to see what they've found.
Gainswave works , lt create new blood vessel and it works for diebatic and high blood pressure, errection without no medication , along with exercise running or walking and bike cycling helps even more , that is hope.
Wow! What an intense and professionally astute analysis! Genius at work on informing us of developments in therapies for a number of different diseases and dysfunctions! Thank you for your excellent and comprehensive review!!! Amazing that you even are spot on on research design and subtleties of statistical analysis! Dr Rocket 🚀
New try! We will be wait and see the benefits!
Hi, great video. I'm thinking if it has arrived in Spain..
Dr Malik, what are your thoughts on the Pheonix device for use at home?
Doctor Rena, here many people's are benefited from U Doctor, ... & here people's TRUST American Doctors for their great perfection,... thanks all the best.
Thank you for this information.
Thank you for the information. I am considering low intensity shock wave therapy
If the medical community would declassify the work done by Raymond Royal Rife, we would see that wave therapy goes much further than ED.
Well, they checked me and there was a 80% reduction in blood flow to the joystick. Sooooo, I signed up at a men’s clinic. Have had three treatments so far.
How's it going? Good results?
You mentioned a different depth for the two types.. 3 cm and 10 to 12 cm.. did you mean millimeter? 10 to 12 is huge!
Wow, thanks for the video.
Do you think there is a short-term? (say 6 months) improvement for diabetic ED?
Great information thank you so much

Dr. RENA you should've seen the Freeve trailer of their new series! 😬
That I saw before your video! 😮
And people think this topic is offensive! 😅
Any studies yet with Red Light Therapy (Kineon Move+) as an ED treatment?
Awesome video and information ❤
"Under medical supervision" means that the supervising MD can't be playing golf on a course over 100 miles away and ) or must always be within the same time zone that the procedure is being performed in.
I am happy to have never had erectile problems. I am 60 now and ready to go.
Awesome.
Beautiful and lovely!!❤🙏

Thanks for the video -- does a TENS device qualify as one of the Type I medical devices you referred to? Is a TENS device a tool that is acceptable for such treatments?
nope it doesn't help. total different treatment methods..
I heard if you do it with a P shot it's super beneficial. Gonna try it next year or sooner.
On the subject of ED, I would love to hear your views on Dutasteride and the apparent fact that it causes ED that can last years.

Never heard of that. From multiple good docs and pharmacists.
@@lyfandeth You apparently don't get informed until it is too late. I was was on it, caused ED, stopped taking it the ED went away it seems as some people are not so lucky
Dear Rena, I watched all of your videos and Im enjoying them.
You probably will never read what Im saying but if you do, can I just say how frustrating it is that you have an answer for everything except that Im suffering from Lichen Sclerosus and that's the one that you have no cure for. How disappointing ❤🇨🇮
Very interesting and surprising.
I think you should include the cost of that treatment & others in your information ! I checked into the cost it is the Thousands of Dollars & months of treatment..
Dr. Malik do you know anything about the Renaissance Wave shockwave machine?
Is electro shock therapy being used to repair nerve damage for Neuropathy ? This caught my ear. How about those personal units you can buy for home use? What are the risks of self treatment without professional skills? Love your channel.

Wow - so well explained ❤
What about the Phoenix, for home use?
I think this would be present a problem with people that have suffered a heart attack and/or have a stint(s). Reduced blood flow is also caused by the calcification of the arteries and I would think that this type of treatment could cause some of the plaque to break free in the arteries which could then find it's way back to the heart possibly clogging up the the stint(s) and causing another heart attack.
This doc is the crème de la crème of all things sci-med, high end research, statistical interpretation, accuracy, honesty, communication ability, and hotness.
Good video and you say the treatment is about 6 weeks but you didn’t say how many treatments are in that 6 week period. How often does a person have to go for shock wave treatment?
Would you use the acoustic Class I device in your practice? Would love your thoughts on this. Thank you, Rena!
