I completely agree, the society that is depicted in the type of future in this movie, and the way inwhich the people behave, is quite similar to how the SJWs are in our current time right now, extremely politically correct.
Like Sandra Bullock and that other guy who Stallone's character teams up with, they have good intentions and envision "the perfect society", but the way they go about trying to attain this "perfect society", is by outlawing everything they see as offensive or violent.
So no swearing, no sex, masculinity is seen as very BAD. Its funny but this is very much how all the extreme Feminists and SJWs are acting like today.

One group is all about dictacting that everything has to be safe, inoffensive, healthy, clean and all about nostalgia media like commercial music from decades ago.
While another group is absolute slobs and the complete opposite (except maybe for the nostalgia).
There is no inbetween, there is just these extremes fueling each other.

Not gonna lie, Wesley Snipes as Simon Phoenix is basically what I always wanted out of a live-action Joker. As much as I enjoyed Jack Nicholson and Health Ledger's Jokers, it's a shame the live-action Batman movies tended to shy away from making Joker too goofy or clown-ish (when that's part of what makes him so scary - the juxtaposition between silly jokester and terrifying psychopath).
