    Thank you for this excellent vid. I’m a DIYer but have never fitted a worktop before. I followed your vid to the letter when fitting my 25mm worktop (must have watched about 100 times!) and it’s come out perfectly. Top chap, cheers

    nice job m8, some good tips in there for sure, like the router bit being slightly angled nice touch, i did notice on the second piece of worktop you talked about scribing the right side where it joins the other with the butt joint, noticed you marked underneath as you mentioned they are rarely square, though in theory if the worktop is parallel with the units and the units are square from one side to the other then actually the cut should be square, though your method works also as long as you paralel the worktop from the units and not the wall before you mark it. love the precision work using router etc

    That is very nicely done, it looks great with butt joint.
    Any tips for trapped worktops on both sides like your first/left worktop there, do you scribe both ends?
    Thanks for sharing.

    Excellent, job, I wish I used a smaller profile laminate, I've just joined a straight run of 40mm laminate one piece 4.1m the other 1.8m the weight of the 4.1 was back breaking and that was two of us humping it. oh film in landscape I think would be better.

      Yes in my day was 30mm work tops x 4m and they were bad enough, need to replace mine now but can't find any decent cream/beige coloured work tops as per our originals

    Great job and attention to detail.
    What depth are those bolt slots in the 22mm laminate?
    Also, are you using standard bolts for the thinner worktop?

    • @MrReece26
      @MrReece26  8 месяцев назад +2

      Ye I used thinner zip bolts. You use an alan key type bit in your drill to tighten them up 👍🏻
