Well, that just about settles it. I have a regular little Scindapsus Silvery Ann that has been giving me trouble for "Two" years. I'm gonna chop her up and root her in moss, then plop her down in leca. That Silver Hero is gorgeous. I have never actually seen any other Scindapsus other than the one pitiful little thing I have. Thanks, Peggy, for solving yet another problem I've been having. Enjoy ALL of your videos.
I had the same issue with my Silvery Ann. I couldn't get that plant to grow or figure out the watering. Leca seems to have solved that problem for me. I hope it works out as well for you.
Very informative video, thanks. I got a Costa Farm full 6 inches plant at my Loves yesterday. I was very lucky because my Lowe"s in Atlanta doesn't get much variety, I was there at the wright time, open boxes and found it!! They also had a lot a Bonnie Spider Plants.
You are so welcome. I have had a time with scindapsus plants in general, when it comes to watering. The self watering pots have been the answer for me. Thanks for watching!
For some reason I have always had problems keeping scindapsus happy. I have some in soil that are doing great, while others had to be moved to leca. At the moment they are all happy. Hopefully, it will stay that way.
So so beautiful! I bought 3 sticks , but only 1 stick rooted, I am happy to report I have two leaves and I am so excited to see what I may have in the future! Love the video! And cant wait for an update!
Thank you Ms. Peggy. I have lecca but I don’t use it much. I think I’m going to try using it more, it just intimates me because of the testing and mixing of the water to get the right PH for the plants. Thank you again💚🙃
The plants that I do have in leca get tap water and I use dynagro foliage pro for both soil and leca plants. I can't deal with all that other complicated stuff either.
@@judymckerrow6720 If you decide you want to try. My advice, not that you asked, would be to start small. Try one plant in leca. Something known to be easy care, small, inexpensive and easily replaceable. I didn't even add nutrients for a full year in any of my leca plants. Just water.
I know many people do all of the testing and stuff, but I've never tested ph and don't add any nutrients and I've been successfully using leca for almost 7 years now. Take a look at my video on how I do it. ruclips.net/video/uj6UM-Jr9SU/видео.html
Same here. I have to keep it simple. I don't want to have to do a science experiment every time I care for a plant. It's been working for me for years, long before Leca became popular.
That's a beautiful plant. I absolutely love my jade satin scindapsus. It's an expensive plant as well and I was very nervous when I decided to chop the long vine. But it rooted quite easily in damp perlite in a prop box. Whew is all I can say! Now I'm wondering if I should try some in full time leca.
I've been contemplating chopping my jade satin now that it has started to vine. I may do it now that I no longer have to stress over this silver hero. One source of stress at a time...
Thank you so much for the process you use if you were to transfer to soil. I don't have the best success rate w transferring water or spagunam rooted cuttings transferring to soil. I'm sure that would be perfect for me and most of the plants I have in my collection and for future plants. BTW I recently gifted a few silver hero cuttings . Beautiful to say the least. ❤️🌱🌊🌱❤️ SUBSCRIBED Thank you.
I love using leca for my hoyas and have a lot of experience taking cuttings from them and rooting them directly in the leca which always works out great. I've never tried rooting scindapsus cuttings but want to try doing it with mine but would like to skip the spagnum moss and go straight to leca. Do you have any experience with rooting scindapsus right in leca?
Thank you for the info I e never heard of the silver hero it’s really pretty I’m drawn to plants with silver on the leaves where did you buy the self watering pot with the wicks ? thank you for sharing

Hello, my Peggy😊👍⏱
I am here to support you from beginning to end.

Thanks so much. Your support is appreciated!
Thanks for sharing Peggy.

Glad you were able to find one. They are so pretty. Enjoy!
I love self watering planters for my scindapsus. They did not do well until I did. Thanks for talking about how you switch from moss to soil or leca.
You are so welcome. I have had a time with scindapsus plants in general, when it comes to watering. The self watering pots have been the answer for me. Thanks for watching!
I have eight Scindapsus of different varieties, each are growing great. For me they are easy care and they are so beautiful.
For some reason I have always had problems keeping scindapsus happy. I have some in soil that are doing great, while others had to be moved to leca. At the moment they are all happy. Hopefully, it will stay that way.

I actually have some sticks that have finally rooted and are growing like weeds. I have them on sphagnum moss. Best of luck with yours!
I hope all’s well with you, I heard you maybe in for some nasty weather. Button down the hatches and stay safe💚🙃
Thanks for your concern Judy. I'm keeping an eye on things.
Yes... very picky and mine like the plastic pots!!
Picky indeed! I find that most of the scindapsus tend to be. Is it just me?
Very beautiful plant 🪴 I love the silver plants 🥰
I do too! This one has a beautiful silver sheen that is hard to pick up on camera. If you like silver plants, you'll probably like this one.

@@kyrad6543 My tap water is heavy with minerals. I’ve heard that I need to adjust the PH in order for my plants to be able to take up nutrients ☹️💚🙃

That’s interesting. I will check out your video on how to use leca.
I tend to keep it very simple and have been using leca long before it was popular. Here is a link. ruclips.net/video/uj6UM-Jr9SU/видео.html
Beautiful jade, on my wishlist!
I'm becoming obsessed with scindapsus. I'm now on the hunt for the silver lady.
Your so right it is beautiful.
It really is! Thanks for watching.
Great video. Thank you!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
No problems with my scindapsus but I do like rooting in lecca. I’ve never heard of the hero but its pretty.
I root many of my plants in leca also. It sure beats having to pick the moss from the roots.
Love these!!! Thanks for sharing

Welcome to the plant family! I'm pleased you found the information helpful. Best of luck with your transfers.

Actually, I root many of my plants in Leca using the same method I use to grow my plants in Leca. It has worked for me with minimal issues.
I want the MOONLIGHT!! OMG 😲
It's my favorite scindapsus by far!
Thanks for sharing 😁

No picture❓❓❓
Nobody else seems to be having that problem, so the issue may be on your end.
I want one 👀
I've never found one locally, but have seen them sold on etsy. Hope you're able to find one.
They look like philodendrons sorta.
Yes, they do!
