Tate, I love how you have so many houseplants in your bedroom, I do too. It's great that the first thing you see when you wake up are your houseplants 😊My landlords claim that my flat is oppressive, I must have nigh on 500 houseplants. 150-200 in bedroom alone. Admittedly most in 9cm pots neatly arranged on the shelves, and loads of big ones on the floor. Your Scindapsus collections made me well jealous, at the moment I have the more common ones... I have become addicted to Scindapsus. I got a small Exotica cutting about 6 months ago and it is getting huge! I love how thick and heavy the leaves are. I think Exoctica is my favorite also. Right now I have 5 different ones and I'm on a mission to get them all lol Question: I have two cuttings, both are almost black. However, one has round leaves and the other has more narrow leaves. ARe they two different types? I did get them in the mail and unfortunately, I forgot to label them when I planted them!!!
I saw scindapsus for the first time in spring 2022. Since then I now have argyreus, silvery anne, tricolor dark, and exotica. They are amazing!! Love your energy and plant love!!! 🪴❤️🪴❤️🪴

I hit the jackpot 3 days ago at a reno depot and found a Costa farms 6 inch pot of a Treubii moonlight and exotica for 24.99 each 😲😲🥰🥰 have been on my wishlist for ages but didn't want to pay the prices for a 1 or 2 leaf cutting. You have a lovely collection and scindapsus are definitely under-rated! Great video
I was able to snag the last moonlight at my local Lowe’s this weekend. So happy to have a full pot. But I had a small cutting from a few months ago and I’ve already propped 2 leaves from it. So they grow really fast. I have all of the Scindapsus, except for my silver hero, which is shipping from Indonesia soon, can’t wait to get it here. And satin jade which is so hard to get. I’m envious of your big pot. I’m in Alberta Canada!!!
Just got my first scindapsis pictus exotica the other day for 5.99, it's only tiny maybe 4 leaves but I'm so excited. Especially to find this where I am, it is not a common plant . Ur collection is georgous !!! That jade one is to die for wowzers.

I bouthg a Truebii Moonlight from you right before you left for camp, and that was my *first* scindapsus! Since then, I have found a Costa Farms full pot of Truebii Moonlight, a 4" pot of Exotica, AND a HUGE hanging basket of Argyraes all from big box stores! But yours is the first and most special to me!

Treubii Moonlight is no joke. I bought one last year and did not think it was going to make it. It finally started to improve and I am very happy that it is still with me. I have a full pot now. Mine also lived under a grow light.

I love scindapsus pictus plants and I am like you and collect them though I have not been as lucky as you in finding them all but I got a few of them now at least. I love them they are so beautiful.
I currently have Exotica Philippines, Silver Lady, Silver Cloud, Exotica Indonesia, Treubii Monlight, Treubii Moonlight long form, Treubii Sumatra, Treubii Dark Form, Argyreus, Silvery Anne, Platinum, Dark Satin (Philippines), and Jade Satin (Philippines).
My Exotica climbs along two Walls😍 in a short time. The are so fast and can get massive leaves. And theyre shingling so you can give them a moospole or plank and they shingle. I love them Ive never seen someone growing them like I do with my Exotica. Most people let them trail. I would recommend let them climb a wall or something, it looks so cool!

you do not have to justify their beauty, they are wonderful plants! I to am hoping to expand my collection, I am in Texas and our nurseries have not made most of these readily available. I had to order my silver Anne off etsy, but she is thriving well. I hope to someday acquire the dark form, jade, and the silver lady. I love your collection very beautiful.

Wow... thats creative..trailing on the ceiling. Well, mine are in plastic pots. They weren't doing well in terra cotta..so weird. I bottom water them and they seem to like it!!
Lovely! I’d like to know if the Treubii varieties both have glossy leaves? The dark one seems to but the Moonlight is difficult to see if the leaves are more satin or glossy like the dark one. Thanks!
I have 3 scindapsus and 1 exotica which didn't do so well. Every time a new leaf was growing it fell of. I sprayed it with anti bug stuff an in the end separated it and also took some cuttings. I hope some of it will survive. Great video and I watch everything about scindapsus

I get it, I am also a planty person, THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT.😂 The year before last i bought a 8in scindapsus pictus exotica from HD and I sold it to my landlord's sister. I figured since I already had two smaller ones it would be ok. I really regret it. I had it outside and I started to trail, gained about 3in over summer/spring. But all I need now is the silver lady & scindapsus treubii dark form, I don't know anything about a platinum. Beautiful, beautiful collection btw.💚
Best thing about the Scindapsus: stable variegation. Love that! My sparkles are never going away!! Unlike the pothos variegated varieties; I always feel nervous about losing my marble queen etc.

Thank you! I thought I bought 2 Exotica's. One was in a 4" pot for $25 and the other in a 6" pot for $20. I just moved them away from the window and onto the dining room table. It is getting colder and I do not want them getting a draft. When they were side by side they did look like 2 different plants. The 4" is an Exotica, but the 6" looks like a Silver Splash. Scindapsus is the best! And my favorite ones are the Argyraeus and Silver Hero/Platinum. I have all of them in that chart except for 'Silvery Ann.' I just haven't found one I'm in love with yet even though they are one of the easier ones to find. I love this collection video ^_^

All your plants look like they are growing MEGA fast - how many grow lights do you have and how long do you keep them on for? Beautiful collection too! 😍... Also my exotica put out a massive leaf after doing nothing for months, after I put in brighter light. My guess was that it went dormant and then came aliiive again lol
It doesn't feel like they grow fast til I look back at old pics and videos!! I have 5 growlights throughout, but i want to get more! I turn them on when I wake up and turn them off when i go to sleep. Would also like to get a timer eventually so theyre on a more normal schedule
Hey, Tate! Great video, as always. I love the scindapsus variety; as you said, they tick off all the boxes: fun to care for, tolerant light requirements, vocal, collectible. I am currently propagating some scindapsus argyreus cuttings I bought from etsy. At what point do you pot your cuttings?
Thank you so much!! I usually wait for the leaves to be 2-3in long before potting them up. I have found that argyreus root pretty quickly, so after a couple months they should be good to go!
LOVE THIS VIDEO! I just discovered my love for scindapsus so I ordered one online. Came with root rot 😭😭😭 I'm just SO unlucky when I order online. 3rd plant with root rot. I need all the scindapsus 🥰
Love seen all the variations since I thought they all looked the same with just a minor difference... but its not the same as seen them in a pic than "live" now I can tell the difference better and time to keep collecting since I only have 2 so far.
Can the argyraeus have more silver at the bottom or is that more in the silvery ann? I got an argyraeus off etsy but there is more silver at the bottom and makes me think it's a silvery ann. I'm so confused lol
I found a scindapsus exotica in a nursery with only 2 leaves but they’re the most massive leaves I’ve ever seen on a scindapsus and it’s putting out another!
definitely didn't know about all the different types when I first started collecting! I just thought the larger exotica was just a more mature bigger leaf growth lol

That is SUCH a plus!! Ugh I just love them so much
As far as you get pothos enough light they won’t lose their variegation. Also note that the younger leaves are not variegated while the older ones do.

Also my exotica put out a massive leaf after doing nothing for months, after I put in brighter light. My guess was that it went dormant and then came aliiive again lol
It doesn't feel like they grow fast til I look back at old pics and videos!! I have 5 growlights throughout, but i want to get more! I turn them on when I wake up and turn them off when i go to sleep. Would also like to get a timer eventually so theyre on a more normal schedule

Hey, Tate! Great video, as always. I love the scindapsus variety; as you said, they tick off all the boxes: fun to care for, tolerant light requirements, vocal, collectible. I am currently propagating some scindapsus argyreus cuttings I bought from etsy. At what point do you pot your cuttings?
Thank you so much!! I usually wait for the leaves to be 2-3in long before potting them up. I have found that argyreus root pretty quickly, so after a couple months they should be good to go!

Can the argyraeus have more silver at the bottom or is that more in the silvery ann? I got an argyraeus off etsy but there is more silver at the bottom and makes me think it's a silvery ann. I'm so confused lol

I found a scindapsus exotica in a nursery with only 2 leaves but they’re the most massive leaves I’ve ever seen on a scindapsus and it’s putting out another!
definitely didn't know about all the different types when I first started collecting! I just thought the larger exotica was just a more mature bigger leaf growth lol
