Seeing some of those suits get destroyed mentally hurt me as a kid. That was one of the most coolest things I ever saw as a kid and it still is. The iron man trilogy are my favorite pair of movies of all time. I rewatch them once almost every month.

It's really cool that all of the suits - ALL OF THEM - were different. No copy-pasted. All had their quirks, strenghts and weaknesses, all of them documented and look like something he would make for variety of purposes. 34 different iron man suits. Most of them never seen upclose, all shot in the dark... Makes me think the intention was different and plans changed after they had all of them already modeled.
The suits were all in prototype stages due to Tony looking to distract himself from his PTSD, meaning that they weren't as powerful or strong compared to the ones he spent time developing like the Mark 3 or the Mark 7. The strength was in numbers here rather than strength.

At the time this was released, not a lot of fans liked it. But now that Endgame is way past us, this movie completed everything about who Tony was and what he did for everyone. The characters of the MCU in phases 1-3 had depth

In 1:15, you can see one of the suits create a sonic boom while the others behind it don't. The armor is actually the Mark 40 "Shotgun", a hypervelocity suit capable of reaching Mach 5. It got it's name from how it breaks the sound barrier at such high speeds.
Rey Yakko actually it’s prototype version 2 for Hulk Buster. Prototype version 1 was the iron monger armor that tony improved to be igor after beating Stane
A truly badass scene for the conclusion of the Iron Man movies... too bad it was poorly lit and at night so we couldn't see all the unique suits. I remember watching this in theaters and could not remember one suit from the Iron Legion. I was surprised to see what they actually looked like when I saw them online.
I was 35 when I saw this scene in the theater. I don't remember anything else making me feel like a 6 year old this much. I grew up reading Ironman comics.
As much as Iron Man isn't my favourite MCU character, when all his armours arrived, that became one of my favourite scenes in the MCU, up there with Cap wield Mjiolnir, the Portals scene, Thor's arrival in Wakanda, and Captain Marvel going full power for the first time.
Never understood why the suits bothered going into melee range, having built-in reactors by the looks of things and the enemy only equipped with assault rifles and the odd guy who can throw fireballs most of the suits could have just lined up, ignoring the small arms fire and either pulse or uni blasted the lot in a continuous barrage.
Seems incredibly dangerous, considering that Tony, Rhodey, Pepper and the president of the US are all walking/hanging around somewhere down there. Way too much risk for collateral damage, which Jarvis obviously wouldn't want to risk.
they hated what they did to the mandarin which is what ruined the film for so many.. which bye the way, is NOT a character that would've been easily incorporated to the MCU with only what they established up to this film. This is stil one of my top 3 comic book movies. I fucking love it.

I remember watching this in theaters and could not remember one suit from the Iron Legion. I was surprised to see what they actually looked like when I saw them online.

As much as Iron Man isn't my favourite MCU character, when all his armours arrived, that became one of my favourite scenes in the MCU, up there with Cap wield Mjiolnir, the Portals scene, Thor's arrival in Wakanda, and Captain Marvel going full power for the first time.
Igor is the unsung hero of this part he doesn’t get to fight just stand there supporting everything.
Never understood why the suits bothered going into melee range, having built-in reactors by the looks of things and the enemy only equipped with assault rifles and the odd guy who can throw fireballs most of the suits could have just lined up, ignoring the small arms fire and either pulse or uni blasted the lot in a continuous barrage.

Seems incredibly dangerous, considering that Tony, Rhodey, Pepper and the president of the US are all walking/hanging around somewhere down there. Way too much risk for collateral damage, which Jarvis obviously wouldn't want to risk.

Why do so many people dislike this part of the movie? For me, it is the movie that has the most impressive and memorable scenes.
they hated what they did to the mandarin which is what ruined the film for so many.. which bye the way, is NOT a character that would've been easily incorporated to the MCU with only what they established up to this film. This is stil one of my top 3 comic book movies. I fucking love it.

Easily the best iron man movie in my book for the fact that they showed the most models of the iron man evolution in action.
I like the igor suit concept. The idea of a blue "hulkbuster" that can lift an entire freighter crane is awesome
