Drac is cringey and uses big words for no reason that make no sense, the captain is awesome. If i was him id aim for Coop status...relateable, funny, with just the right amount of nerdy without the weird gimmicks like vampire teeth.
I do the same for my channel. Half of my stuff I find difficult to focus on the camera and not on my workbench. Though editing was made for this very purpose. Also, I am assuming this will be recreated as a rival/mega/elite rotating cylinder in the future, cause that would be amazing. ~ Thanks, RufusPlays
I live rewatching your old vids cap I also noticed that when firing the second attachment it whistled when fired I wonder if you could make that louder and more pronounced as a sort of comical effect you can then dub the attachment the screamshot
Captain Xavier oh goodness you are a beast at pumping your videos out. I'll wait for the firefly version. To learn what steps to do. Keep up the amazing work
I love this video, you have shown me the way to the grail shotgun I have been trying to build. one question though, what is the locking mechanism you used for indexing?
Hay captain, love this sort of thing, was wondering if you had a bill of materials for what goes into one of these. I recently picked up a barricade with a corroded battery tray so that would be a perfect candidate
Drac's video goggles are starting to make a lot of sense. Never have to worry about the work being out of frame. Anyway, good video. The cut's on the shell don't seem terribly complex of confusing, so no great loss there. Do you happen to know the brand or model of the drain blasters you use? It has a great look to it, while most of the others I've seen on line look like, well, plumbing tools.
Yeah...but then you would all get motion sick from my head bobbing about...it does make sense though... There is a link to it in the video description.
I'd like to see a tactical sledgefire. Its a Sledgefire that holds shells in a internal mag, and ejects them out the side or bottom like a real shotgun. Also, what is your shell count for the Sledgefire shells? And where did you get them?
Mainly you gut the fire fly take and replace the cylinder with a piece of plastic and a N-strike barrel and the magazine system would work like the rival atlas but just dropping
I cannot because I no longer have one. I used to give it out and so many people ordered them they are not out of stock. THus I no longer give out my sources for anything.
This was one of the most entertaining build videos I've seen. Not the most informative but, entertaining yes. I do how ever have a question on the Sledgefire Absolver. The most likely place to grab it to rotate it would be the cylinders. Probably the "go to" for the hand. Supper glue is quite strong but wouldn't some kind of epoxy or Devcon be better for bonding? I was also thinking that the potential problem, could be eliminated all together. By making the base plate larger than the connection point plate, and adding some knurling to the edge for grip.
I considered all sorts of things. Technically I am using gorilla glue which is pretty strong. I also glues all the cylinders together so even more strength. What I really wish I had done was drill three holes behind each shell so it left the middle. The shells have a hole right in the middle that would have been perfect to put in a screw. Live and learn. I am glad you liked it.
This is most likely irrelevant but I found a local Dollar General here in town that actually has drain Blasters for sale for twenty bucks and that is the First Walk-In store that I've actually seen that has them for sale at least in my area Southern California. Shooting a lot of your Nerf modding videos got me into Nerf but I'm also in the airsoft but modding Nerf to me also plays in the modern airsoft guns I like the work you do and keep it up. Good jod on your nerf stuff
Hey Captain, any idea if it'd be feasible to take the general idea of this build (drain blaster shotgun) and hook it up to a Doominator's rotating mechanism to cycle through loaded cylinders?
I've had the same thought about getting a proper seal and yes the idea would be to fire the six darts at once. I'm assuming the cylinders would have to be modified to operate in such a way.
Hopefully you got a fair price for this awesome commission, especially considering how you don’t do commissions anymore. Also original Sledgefire shells sell for around $11 plus shipping on eBay these days, so that absolver alone has almost $70 in shells only.
A idea for keeping all of your work on camera. For your workbench have a permanent mount for your camera. Then draw lines at the end of its field of view. As long as your work is in the lines it will be on camera!
I did tape the corners of the camera frame at one point but different videos end up having a different frame. I may go back to that though. Thanks for the feedback!
How much would a commision for just the drain blaster without barricade but with just front attachment point for absolvers and and singled barrel at 8 shot barrel?
Yeah I checked this morning... it made my very sad! But I have a solution!!! On amazon I looked it up and there is a blue one that is almost identical to the ones you were getting! Just an idea. I was gonna use my Christmas money for a commision on a drain blaster by you because you seem like a good dude. The drain blaster is $20.00 and with your modifications how much would it cost?
Sometimes. Any darts that come with any blasters I buy to make the commission will come with the commission. Otherwise no. Unless requested and agreed upon.
About that drain blaster... the link in the description says "sorry this product is no longer available". Did you buy out their ENTIRE stock or something? Wanted to pick one or two up for myself, but no dice.
Captain Xavier Ah well, I bet they're just out of stock. No reason to stop making something like that when it just started flying off the shelves, right? Keep up the great work, hope to see some magazine fed blasters in the "can it take a k26" series sometime soon.
Probably not. They are too complex a build for Etsy. Etsy is mostly blasters I can crank out in less than an hour. Things like this will be on a commission basis.
How much of a beating can those drain blasters take? Can you throw them around? Also, how do they do with demolisher rockets? EDIT: derp, forgot all about the BAZOOKA.
Step 1. Acquire a Cycloneshock Step 2. Take out the cylinder Step 3. Cut piece of plastic in a disk the size of the cylinder Step 4. Drill center hole Step 5. Drill one hole lining up with a dart chamber Step 6. Cut the top off of a 3/4in PVC end cap Step 7. Glue the end cap to plastic around the hole Step 8. Bolt plastic disk to cylinder The mechanism that clicks to tell you when the barrel is aligned is a bit more complicated and takes parts from at least 2 other blasters (I happened to have them in my parts bin) so it could be...problematic. I'm sure you can work something out or skip it all together.
Contact me via my commission address (on my About page) and we can discuss. Part of the issue is that my source of drain blasters is out of stock...I probably should not have told everyone my source...it seems the vultures picked them clean!
I tried to get one a few days ago, but they sent email saying that they did not know when they would get back in stock, any other source you can think of
Not of that particular brand. And it was half the price of any other. I suspect...us Nerfers, possibly especially me and my telling 5000 people about them, are why they are suddenly out of stock...
If I were to buy 3 attachments: those two in the video plus a demolisher missile one (if that's even possible, sorry, I'm pretty new to modding), how much would it cost?
Captain Xavier if if you ever build one it these or a another one of the firefly shot guns you should take advantage of the battery trays a put LEDS in them
I move my head too much...you would all get motion sick. :P I am getting better at filming...I just have to remember to move the camera. I loose track when I work, get caught up in what I am doing.
Bummer. I looked around and only found that type as a six-pack from the uk, costing twice as much as the blue or red "BAAM". have you got the chance to compare the black one with those types?
Have you considered using a drain blaster with an in line pump and connecting it to tac-rail? Example drain blaster: goo.gl/images/28oHoS I like the modular idea of moving a drain blaster to whichever primary blaster I need. But idk if the tac rail attachment would be strong enough to handle the pump action without falling off the primary blaster.Love your work!
Okay, I was just asking because I haven't commissioned anyone so I wouldn't know any relative prices, so if you can answer this, what would be a relative average price for a commission.
That Sledgefire shell cylinder is a thing of beauty
Right?!
That sledgefire monstrousity is begging to become a shotgun blast of darts
Really disappointed that nerf never makes air powered blasters anymore
Sad icon mag strike sounds
That sludgefire shell cylinder was absolutely genius and you pulled it off amazingly well
👍🏻👍🏻
Your voice is so thick and buttery.
I made a barrackade cylinder absolved for my drain blaster and it works beautifully
Hey yeah? What did you use to fill all the dead space and wholes? Hot glue? Epoxy? I would love to find a use for all my dead Barricade cylinders.
Hey Captain X, Your a great whistler! I love your videos too!! keep it up and soon you'll be even more popular as drac!!
I am a long way from that...but perhaps with time. :)
Ya. But it will
Drac is cringey and uses big words for no reason that make no sense, the captain is awesome. If i was him id aim for Coop status...relateable, funny, with just the right amount of nerdy without the weird gimmicks like vampire teeth.
Gotta love the whistling and singing
Good video , You have a talent! +1 sub

I do the same for my channel. Half of my stuff I find difficult to focus on the camera and not on my workbench. Though editing was made for this very purpose. I can't but wish that Nerf would rerelease the Hornet for Elite.
I live rewatching your old vids cap I also noticed that when firing the second attachment it whistled when fired I wonder if you could make that louder and more pronounced as a sort of comical effect you can then dub the attachment the screamshot
OMG yes! Ive been so hyped to watched this guide. I am actually making the firefly version right now
I am working on that video also...probably filmed it just as poorly as this one...
Captain Xavier oh goodness you are a beast at pumping your videos out. I'll wait for the firefly version. To learn what steps to do. Keep up the amazing work
I know the feeling, putting all the screws back in, and forget to put something in
I love this video, you have shown me the way to the grail shotgun I have been trying to build. one question though, what is the locking mechanism you used for indexing?
Brandon Powell Random parts I found in my parts bin. I think some are from Mevericks...
Awesome, thanks!
So this means your going to be building a singled/modular cycloneshock now, right?
Already did. :D I like the way you think!
At first when I saw the sledgefire shells I thought it was a shotgun and I was like 😱
Hay captain, love this sort of thing, was wondering if you had a bill of materials for what goes into one of these. I recently picked up a barricade with a corroded battery tray so that would be a perfect candidate
Drainblaster, barricade, whatever absolver you want. That is literally it.
@@CaptainXavier I was hoping more for details on what size pvc connector was used
Where did you download your Carmina Burana?
I googled it and took the first one that came up.
Don't you link it in the discription?
sorry I post so late, I work security night shift at a college dorm...
I (apparently) have fans all over the world who post at all hours. Post whenever you feel like!
i love the barricade!
You are a pretty good singer and an above average whistler
I have already made my own shotgun with the exact same type of drain blaster for my third ever mod. I even have my own absolver system.
Don’t apologise for singing sir, that sounds like a lovely baritone singing voice! I have images of LARP fire pits at this point...
I have been up since 3 am looking for that kind of drain blaster. Where do you buy them?
(There is NO link in the description)
ChauceRaptor _ look for cobra drain blasters
I'd like to see a tactical sledgefire. Its a Sledgefire that holds shells in a internal mag, and ejects them out the side or bottom like a real shotgun. Also, what is your shell count for the Sledgefire shells? And where did you get them?
+Jackson Gomez itbhas been done and it is amazing! I have 9 or 12...I think. I got them direct from Hasbro bit they discontinued them.
You could use Vulcan links or buzz bee shells
Have you considered taking the shell of a fire fly adding fly weels and a magazine on the top Like the p90
I have not. That sounds interesting. How would the magazine feed?
Mainly you gut the fire fly take and replace the cylinder with a piece of plastic and a N-strike barrel and the magazine system would work like the rival atlas but just dropping
Find PVC that fits the elite dart well and a light spring to push the darts forward to form magazine
Or thanks to hasbro just add the strife to the back of a Alfa hawk
in the next video can you leave a link two where you got the drain part
I cannot because I no longer have one. I used to give it out and so many people ordered them they are not out of stock. THus I no longer give out my sources for anything.
Just a random idea , you could use a BB Baron barrel as a two shot mega firing absolver. And then just single it with pvc to fire elite
This was one of the most entertaining build videos I've seen. Not the most informative but, entertaining yes. I do how ever have a question on the Sledgefire Absolver. what epic music did you use i want it for my D&D
Carmina Burana by Carl Orff
thank you my friend :) stay strong
Two questions. (1)Can the mega one shot rival rounds? (2) Why didn't you plug the holes on the sledge fire shells?
shoot sorry
Yes it can. And because it was not worth the effort.

Colossal blitz drum barrel attachment. Probably wouldn't work but would be funny to see
did you use magnets to hold the barrels in place for firing and so they could be easily rotated? I can't figure out how to replicate this....
Nope. I used a bolt.
Hey Captain, any idea if it'd be feasible to take the general idea of this build (drain blaster shotgun) and hook it up to a Doominator's rotating mechanism to cycle through loaded cylinders?
The issue would be getting a good enough seal behind the cylinders. Are you wanting it to fire all six darts from each cylinder at once?
I've had the same thought about getting a proper seal and yes the idea would be to fire the six darts at once. I'm assuming the cylinders would have to be modified to operate in such a way.
amazing. you are my favorite nerd. Can you mod the drain blaster handle to be shorter? just curious as I've never handled one. Great video
Probably...but then you would have to pump it more. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Captain Xavier True. I looked to get one like yours but only found a small Red one, Can you link place to buy it?
Sadly, no, apparently it is no longer available...I am very annoyed...as I have people wanting them...
Captain Xavier Hmm there should be another place to get them? I will keep a look out. What is the brand of this kind?
i wanna see the sledge-fire shell cylinder but firing all at the same time
You could use the mega for rival
Hopefully you got a fair price for this awesome commission, especially considering how you don’t do commissions anymore. Also original Sledgefire shells sell for around $11 plus shipping on eBay these days, so that absolver alone has almost $70 in shells only.

Even a drain blaster cannot effectively fire 12 darts at once. 9 is pushing it.
do you send darts in your commissions?

Whats the name of the drain buster gun thing? Im trying to find them online and cant remember the name for the life of me.
It is just called a Drain Blaster. They come in several different colors.
I wanna see what would happen if someone gave you a "dart tag snapfire 8" & just said "I want you to mod this..."
There is an easy way to find out. ;)
What coupler did you put on the drain blaster it's self
It is just a section of 3/4in pvc pipe
Thanks
thanks for the video i am learning a lot here
How does a drain blaster shoot without mods
Can you do a write up on the cyclone shock turret?
Step 1. Acquire a Cycloneshock
Step 2. Take out the cylinder
Step 3. Cut piece of plastic in a disk the size of the cylinder
Step 4. Drill center hole
Step 5. Drill one hole lining up with a dart chamber
Step 6. Cut the top off of a 3/4in PVC end cap
Step 7. Glue the end cap to plastic around the hole
Step 8. Bolt plastic disk to cylinder
The mechanism that clicks to tell you when the barrel is aligned is a bit more complicated and takes parts from at least 2 other blasters (I happened to have them in my parts bin) so it could be...problematic. I'm sure you can work something out or skip it all together.
I was mostly interested in the locking part, the rest is the easy to figure out part.
Well that figures... contact me via my commission page and I can send you pictures. I tried describing it...even I got confused...
How much would one of these be but with a single barrel added on and a paint job and a raider stock?
I will not make Drain Blasters singled for Elites as I feel they are too dangerous.
Ok but how much would one be without those things?
Contact me via either Etsy or my commission address to discuss.
Ok thanks
You are amazing
Can you do I video on how to make absolves the cylinder things
I already did. Check out my channel.
Oh sorry I didn't see them sorry
How much would this cost with only the sledgefire obsolver

how much will a straven cost?
Hey Bossman, not sure if you covered this already, but where do you get your drain blasters from? online or is there a store you go to?
Look in the description.
Item listing as no longer available :\
I don't know then.
I've seen them online, I was just wondering if he had a store he preferred. thanks.
Well...damn...I wish I have ordered more when I had the chance...now I will have to find a new source...
Your amazing I've been subbed for along time
A 6-sledgefire-shell cilinder that shoots all the shell at the time, powered by a titan plunger. That would be funny to see :P
A titan would not have enough power to fire all 18 darts at once. I'm not even sure a drain blaster would. Multiple drain blasters though...hmmmm
Perfect. I'd like one please
Why did you not use a 3d printed cycloneshock shotgun cylinder. (same thing bruh)
+Dat Guy Sebat because I did not have access to a 3d printer at the time...bruh...
Maybe you could try it with 4 Burstwave Cylinders?
Sandwich craft foam between the two plates to increase the seal.
I considered it, but the seal is actually really good as it is and I was worried about the foam wearing out.
Captain Xavier once it compresses over time you could joint tighten the metal rod connecting the two. Foam only can compress so much
hi captain xavier the drain blaster source does not sell them anymore😦😦😦😦please fix
LLLBricks ...how exactly do you expect me to do that? I gave ya'll the link and you cleaned them out. No more sources for you! :P
Is it possible to 3d print absolver attachments?
Probably.
Captain Xavier I would love that
now make your self one of them but on each hole put another rotating thing on it. Imagine a 108 shot rotating thing off a drain blaster :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH I really wanted to make my own
I HAD NO CLUE I DIDNT SUB
How much will the knife blaster cost
Not sure yet, still prototyping the blade. The blaster is $35.
I tried to get one a few days ago, but they sent email saying that they did not know when they would get back in stock, any other source you can think of
Not of that particular brand. And it was half the price of any other. I suspect...us Nerfers, possibly especially me and my telling 5000 people about them, are why they are suddenly out of stock...
yeah but it went out of stock before at least monday, also do you know of maybe any alternatives?
Those are ekind darts??
Where do we commision as i might like something like this
The address is on my About page
Captain Xavier ok thanks
what would happen if you brass barreled a drain blaster and shot an elite dart out of it
You would hurt someone.
i saw someone do it about 3 minuets later it shot through a box
cobalt blue66 Yeah, I'm pretty sure a drain blaster is more powerful than a Titan, which can pierce skin.
Hi, if I bought one of those, how much would it cost?
It would depend on how many cylinders you ordered with it.
If I were to buy 3 attachments: those two in the video plus a demolisher missile one (if that's even possible, sorry, I'm pretty new to modding), how much would it cost?
what do you do with the motors
I add them to the pile
ok i just wondered because barricade motors are capable of taking a 3s lipo
Pls tell me you kept the motors?
Yup

seriously though.
You should hear my brother. Absolutely amazing.
Question: can you use a stockade for this build as well?
Comment: I want to fill the sledgefire shells with cut dowm elites so it fires 6 at a time.
As far as I know the shells of the Stockade and Barricade are the same so probably.
That would work just fine. I use half darts in my Nerf mine.
I wonder, what is a Drain Blaster?
It is a compressed air plunger. For clearing clogged drains.
i like the wisteling
are those yylp darts
I have no idea. I bought them in bulk long ago.
okay just looking for a opinion on those darts sorry to bother you

Bummer. I looked around and only found that type as a six-pack from the uk, costing twice as much as the blue or red "BAAM". have you got the chance to compare the black one with those types?

Ooo, should sacrifice a Stockade instead, that way you have the nifty stock to store darts for a reload.
...or you could keep the Stockade but just take the stock...
Eh, either way most barricades get gutted for their motors, though the elite blue seems more aesthetically pleasing than the n-strike yellow to me.
How much did this cost the user?
That is between me and the customer.
Okay, I was just asking because I haven't commissioned anyone so I wouldn't know any relative prices, so if you can answer this, what would be a relative average price for a commission.
There is no such thing. The prices vary wildly depending on the commission. I currently have commissions ranging from $25 all the way up to $700.
I wasn't expecting prices as low as 25$, but thanks for the information.
