Captain Xavier I finished my rampage version of your "Wrist Raider" that I've dubbed the "Right Arm Rampage MSX-6" in reference to you. Again, thank you for all of the things you do and contribute to the nerfing community. P.S. MSX stands for Magazine System X because it's accurate, it is referencing you, and anything with an X in the name sounds cool.
It's also a Sonic Fire one. For some reason it hits extremely hard, like 1.5 times as strong, but I haven't modded the spring. I personally think it is the power of the X.
His orders for commisions you have to ask via email. And he's currently not accepting any as it says in the description. As a side note, honestly, Captain, I think it's about time you do an update video on EIR.
I have a couple of ideas: 1. Soldering/batteries/wiring. Basically what you need to do a basic rewire. 2. Painting. 3. Integrations. Thank you for this awesome video!
How about a video on batteries? The different types and kinds and what's good in which blaster et cetera. Also, what a dummy battery is and when and why to use them.
Telemachus2814 the batteries can get very confusing. 2s is about 7 volts and 3s is about 11 volts. The 2s and 3s are Lipo classification for the amount of cells in the batteries. The dummy batteries are for imrs but not many people use thoes anymore. I use Lipo. If you are not experienced with them be very cautious dude... they literally explode. I had to chuck one out of my house like a grenade.
Foamblast has a dead simple video on Lipos, Foamdata Services has a two part series on 'balance' (not overdischarging) and selecting the right pack for something more specifically focused on such. Of course, more people echoing the facts to help people pick up on it are still appreciated at this point.
Hey great idea I think I'm gonna enjoy watching this series. I'd like to see an episode on integrating stocks onto other blasters. I got an idea how to but I'd like to see the master show me how he'd do it. Thanks!
Brass breaching. You could upgrade the bolt slead on your longshot and do a before and after chrony (k26ed of coarse.) Thats pretty much the only thing i dont know how to do.
Captain Xavier the longshots definitely my favorite blaster. I have two, one i built my own pump grip out if pvc, the other i 3d printed a grip. Both are k26ed +basic mods. They're is just so much versatility with that blaster!
Bradley Phillips you dont say. (Sarcasm) but he made the "can it take a k26 series, so i figured it would be fitting. No impoliteness ment by the sarcasm btw.
K26 on the new buzzbee line? Monorail and thermal hunter? (and those other two the shotgun pistol thing and tactical storm)also very informative video ! I would love help on modding the stampede i know you are a master at building them and i need help modding mine thanks! :)
I know you've touched on it before Captain, but I'd like a video on simple threaded attachments. how to cut down an air blaster to the tank, and apply a thread, how to modify the attachment to take the other thread, yadda, yadda
Bring on the mod requests like "Show me how to integrate a Jolt into a Stryfe" and "Make a Retaliator with air compressed blow back, there by making a semi-auto springer"...oh wait, that's a good idea!
Dear Captian Xavier, hi, me again, another idea i came up with thats actualy pheezable for my know how, makeing an old darttag speedswarm to shoot half length darts so it is holsterable. just a simple secondary because i can
I had a crazy modded nightfinder. CPVC coupler with a PETG flip barrel (4.5") It has a K26 and somethi g else from a blaster I don't remember. And a 100% air seal. It hit 130fps... Then the blaster broke. I threw it's guts into another night finder... And it broke. By the 3rd shell I named it "Redirection" And somehow it not hit 140fps. I'm anticipating a break soon. :P
could you do a vid. at some point on non performance modding, like with your remote controlled nerf guns, or ergonomics, like putting on maverick grips?
what if u put a heavier spring load on an indirect plunger system would the catch wear off the same way because i was looking to put the spring of my broken magnus as it fits into my longstrike
Eventually, yes. ALL moving parts in any system will eventually wear out. This is simply the nature of friction. This can be slowed through the use of lubricants but it cannot be halted entirely.
I'm a big fan of pump action high power revolvers, I now use a legend fire as secondary, but I think a trigger will be wayyyy better than slam fire only
Captain Xavier I see. Thank-you! I might go with the stock from the Recon Mk.2. It seems to bring a nice sharp finish to the end of the blaster in my opinion.
I have burnt myself using the dreamer becouse dum me I put he smaller cut peice over my finger kinda messing around but that hurt becouse it just got cut with the dremel
That is not really a "mod tip." That is a whole world of techniques and processes. Many of which I will cover but it will be broken up into a dozen videos probably...
I could help you out with that beforehand. It would be great for him to do it, of course, but, I'd like to ask: Do you want the voltmeter to activate, say, when the jam door is opened? Or would you be OK with it being always on?
That's probably even simpler than the jam door method as you don't need to know or figure out which terminals are which on the stock switch. If you're just using a two pin button, you could just splice a thin wire off the main positive power (the wire that comes straight from the battery), solder it to the switch, and solder the positive of the voltmeter to the other terminal on the switch. Then, solder the negative of the voltmeter to the ground, or the negative wire that leads straight to the battery (you don't have to specifically wire splice per say, but it's easier in a Stryfe). By wire splicing, I mean stripping the wire somewhere down the middle, pulling the insulation apart to expose the strands, soldering onto it, and then insulating it with electrical tape or preferably heat shrink.
My intention for my nerf mods isnt that the blasters are going to break. My intention is to fix them and make them better than they were before because most of the blasters i buy aren't working. ^^
Never heard of the "ravenryre." Is it new? :P I assume you mean the RayvenFire? What do I think? I think it is a Rayven...that is white. What else is there?
Mod tips, soldering
check MTB, they made a good soldering guide
q.j 500 Chris fix also has a good one
Chicken Bro Productions thanks!
I appreciate that you are taking time to learn different and difficult topics for us to better our modding

It's also a Sonic Fire one. For some reason it hits extremely hard, like 1.5 times as strong, but I haven't modded the spring. I personally think it is the power of the X.
:D
Captain Xavier what are your social media's and are you open for commissions
His orders for commisions you have to ask via email. And he's currently not accepting any as it says in the description. As a side note, honestly, Captain, I think it's about time you do an update video on EIR.
Great stuff sir! It's really awesome to see more resources like this in the community. Love the work you're doing
:D
I have a couple of ideas:
1. Soldering/batteries/wiring. Basically what you need to do a basic rewire.
2. Painting.
3. Integrations.
Thank you for this awesome video!
Can you do one on lubrication and maintenance
A recommendation is integrations as in: cutting 2 blasters, and sticking them together with epoxy putty.
How about a video on batteries? The different types and kinds and what's good in which blaster et cetera. Also, what a dummy battery is and when and why to use them.
Telemachus2814 Iambobololo has a vid on batteries.
Telemachus2814 boobalo has that
But I don't watch him. I watch The Captain and Walcom. The Captain asked for ideas and that's what I had. Thanks anyway though guys. 😊
Telemachus2814 the batteries can get very confusing. 2s is about 7 volts and 3s is about 11 volts. The 2s and 3s are Lipo classification for the amount of cells in the batteries. I don't have a Longshot. Well I do...but not a modded one. I do plan to eventually.
Captain Xavier the longshots definitely my favorite blaster. I have two, one i built my own pump grip out if pvc, the other i 3d printed a grip. Both are k26ed +basic mods. They're is just so much versatility with that blaster!

Bradley Phillips i know how the moderator is with his flame war comments.
Yay now a reason to get up on Mondays
the worker extended mag release fits in the regulator perfect
Awesome series, Please cover Catch Springs and Soldering. (such as for a Stryfe rewire.)
happy new year
i was just watching this when 2019 came
hope everyone has a great time!
What a pleasant surprise
this was really helpful! Thank you!
A moment of silence for all our fallen modded babies....
may they find peace in the workshop in the sky
Zargax 24 *21 nerf gun salute in the background* They will be greatly missed.
Simple integrations and applying epoxy. Btw your my favorite RUclips
Nice video! You should do an episode on minimizing nerf pistols. I know how to do it but some people may not.
thx Capt for the new awesome pick up line! 0:50
K26 on the new buzzbee line? Monorail and thermal hunter?
(and those other two the shotgun pistol thing and tactical storm)also very informative video ! I would love help on modding the stampede i know you are a master at building them and i need help modding mine thanks! :)
What about an episode on brass barreling for example single shot, magazine fed etc.
can you make a tutorial on how to make homemade stefans or how to rebarrel a blaster
Thank you so much for an excellent guide 🙂.
would making metal components stop the wear and tear?
Please do a video on wiring. Basic upgrades, soldering and switches.
That is at least 3 different videos.
Captain Xavier Well shoot. I will wait then
How to take apart blasters that are solvent welded.
For example the tri strike rocket missle stock.
Quick question, say i put k26 in a recon with metal internals , will the blaster still fail eventually?
No...because the Recon cannot take a K26... ;P
Could you do a video about epoxy putty, specifically on how to clean it up after it is applied
On the list!
The best way to integrate blasters together
How big are those bolt cutters
*holds hands a few feet apart* about that big.
Could we get a mod tips video on selecting parts?
How to make a simple brass breech for the Retaliator and the Longshot
Mod tips, integrations (best materials and sources)
Mod tips upgrading a mag drum spring (ex 25,35,18 drum mag)
Teach us how to make armor!
Step 1: make armour
Step 2: profit
Step 3: get the ladies
The blasters will eventually break anyway. You can also 3D scan the parts to print them, just don’t let Hasbro know.
I know you've touched on it before Captain, but I'd like a video on simple threaded attachments. how to cut down an air blaster to the tank, and apply a thread, how to modify the attachment to take the other thread, yadda, yadda
Yeah yeah, I will cover absolver blasters. But like "integrations" that is a multi part process and each part will be a video.
I would love to see a video on how to reinforce the spring lands.
Make a tutorial on how to use cut down retaliator barrels for a tac rail when u cut down blasters
Bring on the mod requests like "Show me how to integrate a Jolt into a Stryfe" and "Make a Retaliator with air compressed blow back, there by making a semi-auto springer"...oh wait, that's a good idea!
That last one is a good idea...but not really a "Mod Tip" as much as an "MIT Mechanical Engineering Final Project"
Well done!
Dear Captian Xavier, hi, me again, another idea i came up with thats actualy pheezable for my know how, makeing an old darttag speedswarm to shoot half length darts so it is holsterable. just a simple secondary because i can
Rewiring or removing the motors from a barricade / stockade
dear captain xavier, have you ever tried to make a nite finder rifle?
Nope
please try
Captain Xavier
I need some tips on making one, I am completely and uterly confused with mine.
Can you do an episode on welding wires for electric blasters
I had a crazy modded nightfinder. CPVC coupler with a PETG flip barrel (4.5") It has a K26 and somethi g else from a blaster I don't remember. And a 100% air seal. It hit 130fps... Then the blaster broke. I threw it's guts into another night finder... And it broke. By the 3rd shell I named it "Redirection" And somehow it not hit 140fps. I'm anticipating a break soon. :P
Masterkeys (eg. roughcut attached to retaliator barrel)
Definitely, catch springs.
could you do a vid. at some point on non performance modding, like with your remote controlled nerf guns, or ergonomics, like putting on maverick grips?
Do one on making chop shop blasters I.e. taking 2 or more blasters and cutting them up and merging them
How about an episode on air tanks or an episode on absolvers?
what if u put a heavier spring load on an indirect plunger system would the catch wear off the same way because i was looking to put the spring of my broken magnus as it fits into my longstrike
Eventually, yes. ALL moving parts in any system will eventually wear out. This is simply the nature of friction. This can be slowed through the use of lubricants but it cannot be halted entirely.
How to do a brass barrel retaliator and how to rewire a flywheel blaster
Could you Do mod Tips for AR Removal or Catch Spring Upgrades?
What size of bolt cutters do you use? Obviously my 8in ones are not doing the trick. Any answers would be appreciated.
Bigger than 8 in... ;P
Mine are closer to 14in I would guess.
@@CaptainXavier lol I have found that out the hard way, my hands are tore up! Thanks, I shall purchase them next payday!
You should make a video on how to make a homemade blaster, possibly a +bow
That is not a mod tip, that is a whole mod guide. But it is on my list...somewhere...
Do you have an extra slingfire?
Howdy..any source for springs smaller in diameter than a k26 for those situations when a k26 is too large?
+Randall Slinkard no
+Captain Xavier other than companies that sell strings specifically for Nerf blasters.
Captain Xavier thank you
So how's the pump action strong arm idea, I think you may do a better job than I do because you just that cool .
I'm a big fan of pump action high power revolvers, I now use a legend fire as secondary, but I think a trigger will be wayyyy better than slam fire only
Captain Xavier does a stock rival apollo have metal gears because I found an apollo at goodwill that was broken and had metal gers
Yes. The newer releases have metal gears. Presumably they had failures with the plastic ones and switched to metal.
Captain Xavier thanks I thought they were plastic and that perhaps the one I got was modified
Captain Xavier what would you want in exchange for a stampede
What about afterburners?
What about them?
How do you make them and what are they good for?
That is not a "mod tip" so much as a massively complex and complicated mod guide....think simple things...
Ahh, got it. What about a battery episode?
what happens if the spring replacment is rubbing against the plunger tube plz respond
You lost me...
Will a number 55 Fastenal spring work for a K 26 m6 I accidentally lost my catch spring and I would like to find a replacement
#55 as a catch spring? No...#55 is heavier than K26. I think you mean #155. And I do not know. Probably.
Nice video, Captain! I have a question. What stock looks good on an Alpha Trooper? Thanks!
Depends what you like. "Good" is a subjective thing. I like my Gear up Raider Stock. Or my Worker stock.
Captain Xavier I see. Thank-you! I might go with the stock from the Recon Mk.2. It seems to bring a nice sharp finish to the end of the blaster in my opinion.
Nice. I do like the recon mkII stock. I have mine on my minimized Stampede
Cairo Nerf Oh, cool! Yeah, I think I'm going to use that stock!
Vexidoodle I use a demolisher stock and put a sock bomb in it for HvZ and it looks good on my OJ alphatrooper
Do have info on a smaller spring for blasters that can't take a k26?
+Randall Slinkard nope
I have burnt myself using the dreamer becouse dum me I put he smaller cut peice over my finger kinda messing around but that hurt becouse it just got cut with the dremel
Where would you get a light?bow
Soooo... what is the actual pull-weight of a k26 spring? I searched 0.180 kg. Is this true?
2.88 lbs/in I believe.
How to brass the barrel of a single shot pistol! please sir.
Tutorial on brassing barrels and clips. (I.e. Battlescout clip
Could you do a video on brass breeches, like for a Longshot?
How do you make "custom" blasters like integration of nerf blasters to another. ~ Btw its Shadow Nightraven
That is not really a "mod tip." That is a whole world of techniques and processes. Many of which I will cover but it will be broken up into a dozen videos probably...
Hey Cheylo, When you gonna do the Logo Touch up? The One I sent you? BTW I like that you like it.
mod tips wire circuits for fly wheel blasters
INTEGRATION
Be more specific. "Integrations is at least 100 different topics"
Mot Tips. How to do intergrations
I will cover integrations but it will be spread out over about 20 videos. That is a HUGE topic.
Cool. Can't Wait.
Brassing single shot blasters and mag fed blasters. Please I really need this for my sentinel
Hello I love your work
Thanks!
How many blasters have broke of yours that you have modded?
Most of them at one point or another, but I just repair them.
Captain Xavier how would you do that?
Depends on what broke.
Captain Xavier Like, what if the plunger tube broke. Would you buy a new on online?
Do a guide on how to wire in volt meters and leds
I need a volt meter guide bad!
I could help you out with that beforehand. It would be great for him to do it, of course, but, I'd like to ask: Do you want the voltmeter to activate, say, when the jam door is opened? Or would you be OK with it being always on?
Flygonial with a button, or a push switch
That's probably even simpler than the jam door method as you don't need to know or figure out which terminals are which on the stock switch. Flygonial Thank you for being a great part of the nerf community
My intention for my nerf mods isnt that the blasters are going to break. My intention is to fix them and make them better than they were before because most of the blasters i buy aren't working. ^^
Did you make that custom rocket launcher in your intro?
Yes
oooooh, new series.
how long should my k26 be for a strongarm?
I wouldn't recommend it in a Strongarm honestly. It will work for a little while them break the internals.
can you do brass breaching single shots
Yes. It will probably be next actually.
ok, thx capin
What is your opinion on the nerf elite rayvenfire? #xavier
Never heard of the "ravenryre." Is it new? :P
I assume you mean the RayvenFire? What do I think? I think it is a Rayven...that is white. What else is there?
there is a K26 cheat sheet on Nerfhaven if you are having problems doing the math or are lazy like myself
Mod tips on how to approach an integration
can you put in a link to the mcmaster carr page
www.mcmaster.com part# 9637K26
But seriously, I recommend Out of Darts over them.
Please do a battery and rewire video guide.
They are on the list. I actually already filmed them as I was working on a commission...but you will have to wait to see them. :P
Awe raspberries 😝
what is the exterenal/internal spring diameter
0.844"0.684"
the home depot spring is .875 / .715 .08 wire 4in 24.69lb max just slightly larger
4.4 lb per inch nominal est.
Spring rattle....Maverick syndrome.
Cool video
Rewire a stryfe for lipo power.
how to brass a barrel?
can you make for other springs
It would be almost exactly the same...just with a different spring.
i must have read over 100 comments before realizing that people were saying integrations, and not interagatins
Do a mod topic on voltage mods
Do a can it take a k 26 epasode of dart tag blasters
I have. I have covered all of them already.
please do brass and air seals
