Fruits in Japan are grown seasonally, they are also naturally grown. For example grapes have seeds, and are bigger etc. Compared to American fruit I think Japanese fruit is tastier. If you ever come here buy some grapes and you will see the difference. The consistency is more like berries.

Funnily enough the reason japanese fruits are so expensive come down to two reasons 1. Theres a culture of giving gifts to higher ups in companies to get in their good graces, more expensive = better gift 2. They are unironically really really good quality, but not only are they really good fruits, because theyre cultivated to an unreasonable standard, if there's even one easily noticed imperfection theyre marked down alot. Basically japanese fruits arent seen as an item you buy for yourself, and they bought the highest grade that has no visible imperfections instead of getting one that may not be a perfect circle or may have a single dent for half the price.

@@sharunsan2683 a greenhouse is pretty cheap if you have good use for it in which case if you are trying to grow these expensive beauty's it don't take a lot to grow them as long as you know what your doing and have good caretaking they will take off growing and growing until they are ready to harvest sure it takes time and careful observation but a greenhouse is the least cost in this coming in at $200

Funnily enough the reason japanese fruits are so expensive come down to two reasons
1. Theres a culture of giving gifts to higher ups in companies to get in their good graces, more expensive = better gift
2. They are unironically really really good quality, but not only are they really good fruits, because theyre cultivated to an unreasonable standard, if there's even one easily noticed imperfection theyre marked down alot.
Basically japanese fruits arent seen as an item you buy for yourself, and they bought the highest grade that has no visible imperfections instead of getting one that may not be a perfect circle or may have a single dent for half the price.

@@cuteasduck3254 You also have to consider land. Japan is very mountainous and has a minuscule amount of land that can sustain fruits. Most of the land that they CAN use is needed for other things like rice. Just because it’s odd in America doesn’t mean the price isn’t reasonable.
