Just what STOL is designed for. I’ve seen landing distance quoted at 950 feet, which is over a 50 foot obstacle, to full stop, in adverse conditions. Low and slow, with a headwind - a few hundred feet.
What is that? A Twin Otter? Buttered the landing NICE did I hear reverse pitch going in there hence the dead stop? We used to do TAC landings in the C-130's doing this - stops on a dime. That runway needs an arrestor cable!😊 probably a steam catapult as well for STOLS
The way the runway comes into view from the top of the windscreen is dramatic as heck. I was expecting some scary orchestra music and a jump cut to the pilot's face as he mumbles "you've got to be kidding me..."
Landing on the shortest runway in the World, aiming the markings for the touchdown zone, and vacating at the middle of the runway. This is the Twin Otter :)))
I remember when landing on Saba there was a strange sound, like a siren, in the cabin for say 5-10 seconds prior to landing. My brother, who a that time was an SAS pilot, told me when we were on the ground that it was the stall warning sound. Ooops! We had a wonderful stay on Saba, by the way.
Wow. Shortest runway in the world, and he still cuts it off at the first right turn…

You never use the whole runway….get a grip
The reversers are the magic touch here.
Kicking in a little rudder to stay on Centerline as well as adding some much needed power because of sink rate. End result was a Great landing.
rotor coming over the end of the runway?
Shortest runway AND shortest landing.
400 mtr runway, he pulled off at 240 mtrs- very STOL.
Amazing, would be a perfect RUclips shorts if it was as long as the landing roll
Flawless. 💯

What ground speed are you roughly over the threshold? Pulled up very quickly

Saba the Queen, nice touch.
Some pilots could learn from this expert at extreme landings. Great skill and ease!
I drafted the very first approach, airport diagram, and crosswind chart for Saba.
A beautiful island, with terrific diving.
Makes it look easy, but he has huge balls.
It’s because the plane they are in is a twin otter, it has incredible STAL capabilities
Impressive flying. Lukla is slightly longer but you can only land in one direction, which ends abruptly with a rock mountain face.
Wow! Excellent job! The co-pilot probably has to go clean his drawers though
Cool flying

Landed on the horn, way to go
Señor proteje a los pilotos y a su tripulacion
Nice touchdown 👏
This looks like it may be a drag-‘em-in power-on landing.
Got to be a De Havelind twin otter. One of the very best STOL planes built. 👍👍
Love to flying the Otter if I was out in your area
Kind of awkward with that overhead throttle.
yeah, I've always thought the overhead throttle must be tricky to keep under control.
Looks unnatural and uncomfortable.
Respect!!!
made it look easy
Any runway that short needs arresting cables and LSOs! My hat’s off to any pilot who flies in there and makes it look that routine.
Very skilly !
You have the clearance to land in the garden of my home !
Du professionnalisme 👍🤩🛩️. Un french
Wow😮
Super Landung 👍
Nice Video! can i use this as part of my series for a video? you will be credited in the description and video of course ❤
Impressive
nice job
Is this shorter than Lukla?
😮👍
Seems like a tricky one
Que perícia!!
Airport code: TNCS - Length: 977 ft
That thing stopped on a dime.
Like landing on an aircraft carrier.
That’s how I would do it 😂
Would have been nice to see the airspeed.
Well, he nailed it with the stall warning going off at touchdown
IAS looked about 80 KIAS on short final and around 75 KIAS stall speed with full flaps..
Shortest *commercial * runway in the world
Queen of Saba and shortcuts he/she/it is
Sea level ? Wow , you're a hero... 🙂
Pulled it up on a dime
Why don't the aeronautical engineering whizkids come up with something like the Catapult on an Aircraft Carrier? It's high time they did.
Runway on my farm: "hold my beer".
I cant do it on flight Simulator Landing Challenges!!
Try again!
Is this real or a flight sim?
Looks real to me...
Flew into (and out of) Saba in a Twin Otter sitting in the first passenger row with a clear view of the cockpit. Looks real to me.
Shorts runway in the world, not, try a U.S. navy carrier
Posé en 5 secondes, quel panard ça doit être pour le pilote. Enfin, tout dans l'approche...
why does he keep messing about with the two handles >
throttles
