Nice video, I plan to get my muffler delete later this week but I don't plan on adding any resonators yet. I am going to see how I like it first without the resonators and if I don't like it, I can always just have the shop weld some on for me. As far as catted downpipes go, I have heard very good things about the Active Autoworks (AA) catted downpipe. Everyone I talked to that had it was able to pass emissions and never got a "check engine" light.
I just did a muffler delete and love it. I know you also installed the Dynomax Bullet Resonators. Would you happen to know the diameter you used, and the location it was installed?
Thanks for the reply. I worded that poorly. I meant in what section of the exhaust did you have it installed in? The guy who did my muffler delete wasn’t sure where it would fit.
@@forward6806 correct, twin resonators each on a pipe, but wound up adding two AWE touring mufflers (part number from m340i) as well and the sound was perfect.
Sorry for the noobish question, but will removing the muffle affect the warranty, performance or longevity of this car? I have the exact car, just 2023 year
i saw that you commented that your getting catted downpipes i just recently got my m340i i’m wondering will it void my warranty even if the downpipes are catted
Chewy, any modifications that cause a failure can void the warranty for that part, catted or not. For example, if you change the wheels and there is not enough clearance for the brake caliper and it damages the brake caliper your warranty for that item is voided. However if that happens and let’s say your seatbelt fails then the warranty for your seatbelt is still valid. Hope that makes sense. 🙂
@Bimmer_Bill did your dash come with the m240i logo in the center or did you use bimmecode to get that? Took delivery of mine this month and the top is just blank. Thanks!

Thanks Colby. I’m considering the AA pipe as well 👍
@Colby Conaway - Did you do the muffler delete? How are you liking it?
@@MrZman0004 I had a local shop do it for 250$, I love it! Perfect amount of sound.
@@colbyconaway2664 Awesome! Resonators or no? Any drone at all?
@@MrZman0004 no resonators and yes a little bit of drone
Sounds great. Is that the only "performance" mod you've done so far?
Engine related, yes. Dinan intake and jb4 soon then catted downpipe.

Two Dynomax Race Bullet 24250 Exhaust Resonator a.co/d/bh2WnYS
Installed at the Muffler Man in Placentia

@@jnevs5 just after the downpipe splits into two
@@Bimmer_Billhi, did you also delete stock resonator? You have only two resonators after exhaust is dualed out and then is straight pipe?

Only if your car has issues attributable to the removal of the muffler which is extremely unlikely

It only voids ur warranty if whatever u did caused the problem or can be blamed for the problem
How bad was the drone without the resonator? How much did it cost to add the resonator afterwards?
Drone wasn’t acceptable but horrendous but I don’t like drone at all. To add the resonators was cheap about $400 including them
you added the resonators yourself, right? i had read somewhere that this ca does not have resonators.
Yes i did

Came like that
Did you keep the exhaust valves on after the muffler delete? And if not did it throw any codes
No, valves are gone and they’re not necessary to the ECU, no codes.
@@Bimmer_Bill Sweet thank you, my m240i is in production now so i'm about to start scheduling appointments for my first mods!

Hey Bill, what year is the make of your car?
Hi Leslie! It’s a 2022 BMW M240i. Cheers!
@@Bimmer_Bill Sounds great! Glad it pops and crackles. Picking up my M340i LCI tomorrow. REALLY hope it pops and crackles.
Saying hi from Malaysia!
@@Leszlig it definitely pops abs crackles when you let off the throttle. Your new m340i should too! Congratulations that’s a beautiful car! 🙂
Sound brilliant now imo
Agreed I think it’s racy as reasonable for the street right now.
Is there any drone without the muffler?
There was but the resonators pretty much eliminated that
typical Californian driving @5:00 lol. anyway! Nice sound! I have the 23 x3M40i
I hate to agree since I’m a Californian, but you’re right! Thank you! Enjoy your X3m40i!
