I was 2 when Michael Jackson passed away and 2 years later, I listened to Thriller for the first time and I instantly loved it. I remember constantly telling my mum "Is Michael Jackson still alive?" and stuff. Now I'm 13 and I'm still a huge fan of him.
I always suggest Michael Jackson’s Private Home Movies. He was fully involved with the making of it and it offers a great blend of insight regarding his art, but also about his way of life, his relationships, his family, his humanitarianism, his sense of humour. Always a beautiful watch and you can really learn who he was and what was important to him 🙏🏽✨

My favorite album is Invincible.
I started to be a fan this year around January, now I sing all of his songs from the album's on youtube since I can't get the albums
When I became a fan last year I first downloaded a best of Michael Jackson and some other songs that I liked most and then it became more and more and one day I knew every song ❤️😊
Suggestion: Listen to songs he was featured in🙃❤️ (Paul McCartney, Rockwell, Stevie wonder, Diana Ross ect.)😌
For mj lovers, you should get the Minnie riperton's (died in. 1979) last album, love lives forever with the hit song I'm in love again she duet with Michael. With her eight octaves high notes will take you into another journey and I also.oobe her legendary sing, you know, loving you. Just get her album ,love lives forever.

VISION is the BOMB!!!!!! Who doesn't love Vision??!?!?!?!! Excellent recommendation. Now, I can't find the documentaries; I've been trying to find them; I'm old school so I'm looking for the physical DVD or Blu-ray... no luck so far. Anyhoo - I'd say that a new fan needs to see Ed Sullivan show performance of Who's Loving You & the Motown 25 performance - this gives them context of what makes Michael so special. Awesome video, as always!!!

What is the reason for leaving out BOTDF? I actually really enjoy that album, especially Superfly Sister. Underrated in my opinion
AmeliaSoapFan because of all those horrible remixes that really ruined it for me. My Favorites are Blood On The Dance Floor and Ghosts. But in reality, Michael didn’t want this album to happen. He wanted to do an EP with just those five songs. But $ony wanted to add those remixes 😒.
Blood on the Dance Floor is a good album I don't get why people do not like it here real Michael Jackson fan you appreciate each and every one of his masterpiece

If your a new Michael Jackson fan, you should listen to all of the Thriller Album, highly recommend Baby Be Mine, one of the underrated gems. Actually, I reccomend the whole album!

Oh em geeee. All this time, I've been watching the Michael Jackson Moonwalker CD!!😍 This literally made me a fan. There's a lot in this CD and it is absolutely amazing. A new fan anyways. Everything you mentioned is interesting and I'm anticipating to actually purchase everything and collect more!! Ofcourse I would need money but it'll come.

I've been a MJ fan for over 50 years.
I was 7 when I became a J5 super Fan. At 8 I went to the Going Back to Indiana Concert, which I think was the best Concert the J5 ever did.
Before Motown the J5 released a great song called (Am a big Boy Now) This song was the 1st song the J5 did in the Studio. I think ,, but not sure the name of the record label was Steeltown. Michael was only 10 when he did this song.
Moonwalk is everything, the book is so inspiring and honest. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

Got To Be There, Ben, Music & Me, and Forever Michael. They are great albums that I enjoyed listening to when I was a teenager. I'm not a newbie. I been a fan since 1988.

I completely agree, Destiny is a much needed album for new MJ fans getting into the Jackson’s! I recommend new fans get History, especially if they’re trying to save money since it has all the hits! I think the best book to read for new fans is Moonwalk to hear about his life through his eyes before reading about him through someone else’s :)
Also I agree, I think it’s important to educate yourself early in your fan life. Square One is a GREAT and easy to follow documentary!

New fan. Been hearing about him in the past, I'm familiar with his music just didnt know it's his (yea I should know better). I did remember hearing him in Bohemian Rhapsody movie in that part when Freddie Mercury plans to go solo. Caught in the hype for 3 weeks now. There's a photo of him flased in The Story of Diana, where they talked about how celebrities were treated by the press. I wish I can see as much content as I can. But I'm quite curious on popular docus/movies of icons/legends where MJ is feautured of mentioned as well. How these icons are connected or related in some way to MJ.

I recommend every film, ducumentary, song, book or mercy as the others I know that they already write all that down and I don't write this comment to repeat what they write. My recommend to you as a new Michael Jackson fan is :
never give up. to be a Michael Jackson fan is the greatest experience I have ever made and I don't regret any moment of it I love to be in this family and it will bring you so much happiness and joy and will make you a better person, I swear BUT all the stuff that had been written about Michael,all the hater, all the fake news, all the fake people in his live and out there are still here. being a MJ fan is the best that will happen to you I swear it's the most awesome feeling I ever experienced but there are also some very tuff times because of his dead and all the fake around him and the pain he had gone through becomes your pain. so please never give up on Michael. at some point you will automatically will not give up on him cause the love for him will be to strong to let anything like that happen but it's also verry tuff and magical. always remember that. you will do this experience amyway

I highly suggest new fans watch the Private Home Movies special. It showcases his personality, and it's fun to watch! Also, watch any videos of the Jackson 5/The Jacksons performances because you get to see Michael develop into the artist he became, and it wouldn't have been possible without his start with his brothers.
