That would be Amazing if it can hover with a Magnetic pad Smoke with dry ice it can look so real.
You also can make this model in g scale. So you can run it on g scale track. Then build diorama of the engine and clint Eastwood ravine. Lol

That is great! Now, you need to kick it one notch by installing propeller rotors inside the rims operated by a drone to make it fly for real. It can be done with the current model shown on this video. If you just want to make it hover then install a magnet inside or bottom of the vehicle, purchase a JAM usb magnet base and sit the DeLorean on it. Will hover for ever. Enjoy!

You can make that float using magnets, just takes a little working out.
You could have it power up via smart charge like WiFi charging. Would save wires showing. But what a nice guy to do that for you, looks really nice bro love it, 🤩 I’m well jealous 😬 it’s beautiful man 👌😎

i would like to see someone design and build a hover conversion delorean model that the steering still works when not in flight mode , maybe its just me but i think that would be pretty sweet .
It will put them out as far but when you close it it will look right

The wheels need to be half in the wheel wells when looking from above or below the vehicle. The wheels should not extend below the floor of the vehicle by much. It doesn't look right otherwise.

I bet you could probably buy some pretty powerful motor and fit them into wheels and attach small fans to them giving them to actually Hover
I’d use a hand screwdriver for those delicate screws, eventually you will ruin a thread with an electric one, cool video
You can ruin them with both
just throw that electric driver away and use a screwdriver which gives feedback

I wouldn't challenge hot toys to do this, cause they just might make the fly/hover mode and all its accurate awe and glory and make it RC and charge 15,000 for it. wait..... DO IT!!!!!

Great video. Shame mine came with the lights not working. And i have no clue what so ever how to get into it to resolve the problem. Breaks my heart when i look at yours. Anyways Awesome vid dude.
Probably a burn fuse or circuit due to the wrong voltage adapter used. I've had mine plugged in for years and still works great.
Just got mine. Unfortunately one of the headlights doesn’t turn on.😢 waiting on sideshow to replace my car.

This is pretty awesome! I'd consider getting this conversion kit from him if I had the Hot Toys Delorean... but there is no way that I'm paying secondary market prices for that thing now...
I'm a huge BTTF fan. In general I haven't collected Hot Toys, not due to lack of interest, but being so high end, and with me having other things that I collect, cost-wise it was a road that I didn't want to travel down...
Then they got the BTTF license. I have both versions of Marty that were released. I would have gotten Doc, but I really didn't like the face sculpt that they went with for him, so I passed.
The Delorean was super tempting. But at about $600, that was a splurge that, if I were to have gone for it, I could only justify once. Since the Delorean was strictly based on how it seen throughout most of the first movie, with no hover conversion and with the plutonium chamber, I assumed that, in addition to presumably more figures, they would later release separate "Part II" and "Part III" versions to try and get people with deep pockets to buy all 3 of them. So I decided to wait because I could only justify buying it once, and if I was going to, it was going to be the version with hover conversion mode, etc.
However, they never released any further versions of the car, and I don't think they did any further figures past Part II Doc and Marty. If I had any clue at the time that this conversion kit would eventually be a thing, I probably would have gotten the car back when it was readily available at the original price. It stinks, but life goes on.
While not as big of high end as Hot Toys, NECA recently revealed that they have a BTTF license and will be making figures based off of the movies and animated series, so hopefully we get some good stuff from that.
In hindsight. Seems to be the running gag with the Hot Toys Back To The Future License. I do remember warning folks on my early videos not to pass up, knowing how flaky Hot Toys can be when releasing licensed merch.
Yeah, it's like they say, hindsight is 20/20. Maybe the BTTF items didn't sell well enough to continue with the license (I could be wrong, but it is possible). Though if at any point their intent was to release the Delorean 3 times or more for the various modifications in the three movies, that was kind of greedy on their part IMO.
It is one thing to buy the Delorean at other significantly more affordable scales a few times for the different versions. But for something this expensive, and with the differences just being relatively simple things like different wheels, adding Mr. Fusion, the license plate, and the time circuits strapped to the hood in Part III, they easily could have included interchangeable parts for the different looks.
I can understand having to release the "same" vehicle twice when the differences are more substantial, like when they released the Tumbler Batmobile from Batman Begins in both black and the camouflage colors as seen earlier in the film. Since the entire car is a completely different color, that can't reasonably be done in one release with a few interchangeable parts.
But at this point it is what it is. While I somewhat regret not getting it, I'm not too torn up over it really. I'm just more bummed that they never came out with some official version of it with the proper hover conversion features, etc.

Why not make a functional folding wheel and use servos, im sure there is a way to make an operational conversion. Nothing is impossible in 3D printing.

Everything looks perfect except the hover mode. The wheels aren’t screen accurate in hover mode and gives the car a clunky look. Otherwise, what an awesome model.

Have you ever thought about making it actually move and hoover at the same time . Here’s a thought get axle that’s movable one motor for RC I’ll see you in the ESC for a drone for Manny’s role use the propellers in the inside of the wheels in the motors and you can have a switch from driving on the ground and then hovering in the air

The wheels are hanging too low. The bttf delorean had the wheels higher up and tucked in a bit.
Different models were used through out filming which showcased different versions of the height of the wheel.
