    The risky plays Faker did were awesome. If they failed, we'd be in an alternate timeline where people would call him an inter, washed up, BLG Faker, etc.
    But he played all those risky moments to perfection, and deservingly won his 5th title. Those nailbiting moments made me see prime Faker again 🔥

      I saw it phrased beautifully somewhere. "The courage to be disliked", to go for plays that you know can easily be fumbled and cost your team the game, but in turn, if successful, can lead you to victory. I think that's what's lacking from both Chovy and Knight.
      Especially Knight in this case. Game 5, on his world renowned Ahri pick, I don't understand going for Liandry's and Zhonya's when you get fed 3-0 early game. I feel like if it was Faker in that scenario, he'd go Lichbane and maybe Deathcap and just go whole hog instead of playing it safe, y'know?

      I've been a T1 fan since 2013. If there is one thing I know about Faker for all these years, is when push comes to shove, he will either clutch it or int it. He is NEVER a coward. I've never seen him back off from such risky openings.

  • @Lesong100
    @Lesong100 19 дней назад +654

    That Sylas play from faker was a lot more risky than people thought. He not only had to engage on to Elk and Knight he also had to avoid the counter engage from ON. There was a caveat even on top of that which was if he actively dodges any ability from ON with a back step or e or anything, he won’t be able to close the distance to BLG’s back line in time. He literally e’ed in to chain the rakan to cancel his w, simultaneously stealing the ult, activate the ult as he is flying towards ON and then charming ON on impact to prevent ON from using R to disrupt, flash proto belt into the back line and hit both Knight and Ziggs. That was literally the 1 in 14 million from Infinity war and he pulled it off. People wonder why ON didn’t ult right away or why Xun couldn’t land his ult. They were so baffled by this impossibly perfect play that a human can do this never crossed their mind. This is the power of Faker, someone so immaculately clutch that it will shatter your mental just watching him play on the opposite team. BLG was strong, but Faker is a generational talent, sometimes there are protagonists in life, he is one of them.

    The gambles Faker took in games 4 and 5 were genuinely a marvel to witness, but some of those gambles wouldn't have been possible without his amazing team. The Equalizer + Hostile Takeover follow-ups from Zeus and Keria in game 4 after Faker's flank were absolute gas in terms of attunement. Oner was also playing out of his damn mind with Xin Zhao in game 5. Good stuff from both BLG and T1, and a hard-earned victory for T1.

    Dopa already said many years ago that high level league is a game of "attention points". You can only take in so much information and react to it.
    Faker , through the years, have managed to play a sort of "poker game" with the attention of other high levels.
    He baits people in by giving false information and false sidesteps while preparing his ultimate card at the last moment.
    This is very clear in the engage where he steals rakan's ult. BLG was paying attention to ashe's arrow and Rumble and Renata's frontline with R. Faker only appeared when BLG got a false sensation of security after the arrow goes wide.
    His level is insane and unmatched. He is the GOAT

      Another thing is that Faker is absolutely unhinged. He will make “hero plays” in the most unlikely scenarios. Sometimes it looks like he’s inting, but when it works, it’s crazy.
      Look at that failed Sylas engage in game 4 where T1 was retreating, but Faker saw an opening. He stole Gnar ult and literally went in 1v4. The engage failed because Rakhan cc’d him and forced him to Zhonya and flashed out, but it showed how Faker would go in when the enemy team least expected it. Can you imagine Chovy making that kind of risky plays? No.
      Whenever Faker is on the map, the enemy team has to respect him. He WILL go in 1v4 and not giving a fuck if he died, as long as his team won the teamfight afterwards.

      (I'm not an Oner hater) He is an amazing player, but I think Oner is missing in the early game all the time. 90% of the games the enemy jungler makes plays to get their team ahead while Oner is farming. You missed ON's Flash at 3:42 that Faker forced out which lead to him not having it and getting caught in the following clip.
    Also Oner tagged Knight at 6:02 which allowed him to instantly re-engage with the Q3 he was charging up prior chaining along with Faker's engage bursting down Knight.
    Also at 6:54 Zeus places down a Control Ward, not sure if it would have made a difference, but it made Bin attack it instead of Faker. Whether this is by Bin's choice to charge up his empowered strike, but still feels like he should have just hit Faker instead to charge it up, seems wasted on the Ward.

They might still have won because guma and oner are alive to take dragon soul, but there's always a chance blg finds a miracle or something. That last 2v4 was nothing short of an orchestrated miracle on the tiniest of margins from everyone involved. If Elk hadn't burned a panic flash in the final millisecond of the previous fight, he could have flashed the Gragas ult or dodged Faker's tornado. If Keria hadn't interrupted Knight with a max charge ult, Ahri would have joined the fight. If Faker had missed a single sidestep, he wouldn't have been in the fight long enough to stall. If Faker had gone Zhonya's instead of that crackhead Rabadon's build, the damage wouldn't be there. Just an insane knife edge of a game.

    Yeah I did notice 1:25 too, Oner surviving with Renata's W is huge, dude is playing Dark Souls
    2:22 ON should have ran towards T1's backline and charm them to prevent follow up, he probably panicked and the pressure got to him as Game 4 and 5, he just kept screwing up.
    You see he did so many wasted movements walking around, just to dive onto Faker and charmed him alone
    3:15 Everyone abandoned Xun, like ON just runs away to try and save Elk who was so far away lol, once again he just ult to charm Faker alone, he didn't even bother to run onto Guma and Keria to slow them down for his team to survive.
    Is ON playing a singleplayer game? Well, at least he did a great save at 3:40, or BLG would have wiped then.
    I see T1 have this team mindset, where they will sacrifice for the team, while China teams playstyle have always been solo mindset.
    Look at all T1 team fights, their synergy is there, and it always come off clean, and it's clear what they are doing during the fight.
    (EG: 3:15 They purposely engage Elk to divert attention, when their goal is to kill off BLG's jungler, so they can baron. They don't just fight without objective in mind)
    While China teams, be it WBG, BLG, even if each individuals are strong, their team fights felt so messy.

    • @alanOHALAN
      @alanOHALAN 16 дней назад

      it is the opposite around. LPL teams are better than team fights but worse at vision control.
      This game was screwed up by ON, it is just so much harder to win with him.
      If On is half as reliable as Keiria, it would be BLG the winner.

    I find its weird when people surprise with BLG’s power. They won 2 LPL, runner up at MSI. In this final T1 is the underdog here. I feel like after T1’s triumph over GenG, many people automatically assumed that T1 would win World again and underestimated BLG. After game 1 in the final, many people were shocked at how BLG crushed T1. They were so close for the title but unfortunately Faker was back in his prime. Kudos to BLG 👏👏

    I think that the difference maker for T1 is that other teams can be mechanically superior to them, but T1 is the only team you have to beat over and over again within a single game to even take a round from them. That kind of endurance isn't seen in any other team, because T1 only needs to win one of those gambits to turn the entire game around- as seen in Game 4

    I agree with what caedrel said. The 0-3 deficit at the start of game 4 looks worse than it is. Zeus still came out on top compared to Bin, and there wasn't much of a difference in other lanes.

    • @Briezar
      @Briezar 19 дней назад

      it really didn't matter that much. Bin didn't get any farm at all to perform the lane swap and Zeus, while died a lot, always managed to get cannons and most of the wave so not much exp were lost. 0/3 all came from Zeus so it isn't a huge gold lead either. Focusing so much on Zeus also lose them grubs.
