In one setting, a less popular area, where the trout don't see as many fisherman, the nymph and dun, of the correct size, of course, seem to be adequate most of the time. But in the other setting, on an extremely popular and well known river, where every hatch is fished daily by numerous fisherman, having the correct life cycle imitation does seem to make quite a difference. Plus, it's just fun tying and trying different patterns.
The differentiation for the lifecycle during the tie is extremely useful. Very practical. Thanks!

I do better on un-natural looking imitations than natural. Example being a rainbow warrior.
