If you keep throwing those juicy hanging high pitches, Japanese hitters will smack them effortlessly with flatter batting. It's crystal clear that you better just pitch the ball low frequently. Why is college baseball favored over professional baseball at Jingu Stadium? It has something to do with the history of the development of baseball in Japan: In 1905, the Waseda University baseball team made its first trip to the United States, bringing back many things from the home of baseball, from technology to equipment. This made a great contribution to the development of baseball in Japan, and baseball became popular throughout the country. Until Shigeo Nagashima joined the Tokyo Giants, college baseball was more popular than professional baseball.

Trevor’s experience in japan reminds me of a classic movie “Mr. Baseball”. Grass.

he had a past where he basically behaved like an entitled jerk. but many others have done worse. I'm glad to see him find peace within himself and work on bettering his own life.

@@albertlwj I don't come from a country where we have baseball, I just follow the youtube channel, and I'm kind of at a loss why he is seen as a bad guy. Part of it seems to be because he was pointing out cheating, which just makes me go WTF, wouldn't you applaud that if you followed a sport? 🤷

I actually like Bauer & he’s not a bad guy but he did have a
“god complex” in college & when he got to the Bigs & that’s most of why he didn’t get along with coaches & teammates. It’s hard to pick up on it in these videos but if you’re not a person with a “god complex” than you probably won’t see it unless you are actually interacting in person with him.

In Japan, high school baseball is a very exciting event in the summer. It is a national sporting event and has produced many heroes. The national tournament is popular with many Japanese citizens, and everyone cheers for their local team. Ichiro and Shohei Otani also played in the national tournament during their high school years. I hope that Bauer will be able to experience and enjoy this unique Japanese baseball culture.

Can we possibly get some time with your Trevors American teammates? Maybe let them say hi and a quick shoutout? Would be cool for us to start learning some about your other teammates as the season progresses. Otherwise, great stuff by team Bauer as usual!
