White safety for the chutes
Performance Fab for all the badass work
Good video I just want to say looking at the quality and performance of your car never ceases to impress me Thank you for the great videos !!
Wow your car looks even better with the new white paint. ❤ 2 Chutes look so much better !! Great video.
Your car is Insanely Clean!!
Just found your channel! Very, very cool! Thanks
Where did you get those air switches from?
I run an onboard compressor at 120 psi with a 20 oz reservoir and have no problems deploying my dual White's using a standard MAC valve. Instead of running 2 control valves, I just leave a pin in when running single chute. No chance of forgetting to flip the other switch. Love the trunk release.
Thanks Devin! That white looks dope!!
Pretty cool. Never knew how a chute was actuated.
We used to do this with nitrous of course on a nitrous car. Back in the outlaw 10.5 days
Thanks for in depth views of the chute mount and key rod. that's Brilliant!!!! Arm rest is the Shiz as well.!!
Brooks FTW??
Always got a little trick for the car 👍👍
Years ago I fiddled around with a larger volume reservoir near the chute, with larger lines on mine to see if it would release faster, didn't seem to make much difference. I wonder how much quicker/harder that extra 100psi makes? Have you tried to see how far it will throw it at say 150?
Yes please video on the green car
Those valves generally aren't recommended because they aren't a momentary switch, it's common to forget to arm them and you won't realize it until it's to late.
Those valves come with the chute. I guess that's an odd way to not recommend a valve
@@theholleyefiguy hahaha that’s funny as hell, that dude is nothing but a troll
Cool 😎 !
Just out of curiosity. What’s the reason for two charge switches instead of just 1 before the T in the line?
for 1/8th mile we wont need both chutes, wanted to have independent control of them
@@theholleyefiguy definitely makes sense. Thanks for the reply. Incite from Mr. MustBeNice is always helpful
Thanks again
Unless it punches a dent in your toolbox drawer, it needs more pressure 😉
Honestly the extra air pressure is probably just a crutch because the chutes are not pointing up enough to get in clean air.
I had them at 100 psi
The cable would come out of the tether when it was lulled but it wouldn't shove the chute out of the bag. The inside of the bag was covered in glue from race tracks (as well as the entire back of the car and under the wing). You could have the chute level released, 100 psi on the ram and you would have to smack the side of the chute really hard to get it to move and release. What part of that had anything to do with the angle of the chute?
I have been using air chutes on cars for about 20 years now and never had to go over 125 psi. Seems like something else is going on with them in my opinion.
I just explained what WAS going on with my old single chute.
