l learnt this the hard way back in 2003 when a rushed shoot repack sent me into the wall in my 82 trans am. still have the car as it was also my high school ride and will fix it one day once the kids are older. love the knowledge your sharing with fellow enthusiasts!!
As a retired parachutist your information is spot on. 👍👍👍👍 The difference is that as a parachutist we had someone looking over our shoulder when we started. That being said, as I got more experience and was in a rush to make a jump, I had hooked up my risers backwards and was a bit surprised when I looked up (at my square chute) and I was going backwards. 😬. I landed just fine.
Thanks for taking the time to post this video - I have good brakes & a good 'chute - my car slow down quick & smooth - have seen cars blow past me in the shut down area with a lazy 'chute deployment, bouncing all over the track sideways, so it's serious stuff - if you have ever experienced it, you probably have cracked rotors from the heat trying to get your car shut down before you end up in the trees...

Thanks Doug
Great video and tips, thank you!
Really like all your videos
Pretty good tip, had to learn the hard way on my old man’s Malibu. Good Tech Tip !
How about a nova update? I have not seen anything since it was crashed. Would love to hear about suspension items from that car.
Very new. Watched one of your videos. Helpful for sure. Still needed a friend.
Once again, great stuff!
Put some markings (paint stick) on the outside of the chute so you know it’s not inside out.
Did you get the Nova fixed?
If people would just understand the benefits of a parachute they would take them more serious.
Is your Nova get close to run?
😎
Absolutely love tech tip Tuesday but way to pick the worst colored parachute to show people what right looks like.
