- The #JeepGladiator has been a huge sales success for #Jeep and for 2024, the #Gladiator gets the same upgrades that Jeep introduced on the #Wrangler early this year.

4xe, 392, 5.7 Hemi, Hurricane I-6!!!! Any of these would be a much needed power improvement. Jeep is killing Gladiator sales by continuing to not offer more power.
Exactly we need a 5.7 hemi and 392 @jeep
It’s boring AF!!! Especially disappointing is that we loose the diesel and we don’t gain any other motors. No 4xE or Hemi. Other than a larger screen why would we buy this? I had my name down at the dealership for the first 4xE Gladiator….. now I’m off to Toyota for a new Tacoma. Bigger screen. Hybrid. More power. Pretty easy decision.
Absolutely disappointing or I'm guessing because the Gladiator has a bigger curbweight they went lazy to figure out Rnd for a bigger etc. My guess by 2025 it'll be done
@@Helixur I don’t see them putting it later since they trying to go away from gas they even stopped making the diesel engine
Exactly.
Gladiator needs more power
Lol, they all need that... They all need better fuel economy. Not gonna happen😮😅
@@williamsimpson3155they already can’t sell these old NA v6 model jeeps in a lot of states like CA, OR etc, the dealers only stock the new hybrids for emission reasons. Maybe the gladiator gets around the emission rules because it’s a truck not an suv… who knows. Either way it’s a shame for such a nice vehicle to have such an old and tired engine.
Your damn Skippy
Yup. I sold mine in less than a year due to the low power. I would consider another one in the future if it had some get up and go
@@ccclaw13if you think the jeep has low power, I’d love for you to drive a Tacoma 😂
I bought the 2020, still have it. Love it, no issues at 70,000 miles . I put a pedal commander on it and regeared to steeper gears in the axels. I would like to see the Hurricane engine put into it.
I want the 392…… period
Favorite ending, ha ha, glad to see even the camera guy can have fun. Great work to the whole team! 🥳👍👍
Went a whole review without falling off the pillar of rocks until the end! Omg we all thought Rob went “off road” for a second 😂 hope all is well. Dangers for the camera man are real ppl 😂
I want the v8 in it!
Embarrassing day for us Jeep fans. Jeep has so much quality control issues right now that they have no chance at having the 4xe ready cuz the Wrangler 4xe isn’t ready still. I’ve been in the shop 5 times with mine. (It’s currently in the shop now) There’s a reason why the Gladiators are not selling on the lot and have major mark downs currently.
buddy, good to know. Can you explain more and go into more details? I think these look so sweet compared to the new body's of the Tacoma's.
I have a friend with a year old Rubicon Wrangler. Never taken off road. Been in the shop 4 times. Stupid for a 2023 vehicle
they need the in-line turbo 6cyl.
Or even the 2.0 Turbo Hurricane 4!!
With the 6 speed, did they fix the grenading clutch issue? Still no solution for us with existing recalls.
We have an AEV Rubicon Gladiator with the diesel engine and it just blows my mind that Jeep discontinued this engine. It’s so smooth, so much torque, so fuel efficient, and awesome off road. Sad day learning that engine is gone in 2024 models
Bought a JTRD a month ago and I think people who complaint about Gladiators and the lack of power must have exotics as their daily. I am feathering diesel pedal around town with 400+ ft.lbs of torque at 1500 RPM and I have to tell myself to mesh the pedal so it can breath a little every once awhile. Gotta love how it engine brake/downshifts as you hit the brake pedal. Pretty impressive how smoothly it does that.
I think it moves ahead of the of the Raptor Ranger, but I’m curious to see how the Tacoma TrailHunter will do in comparison. I’d like to see the 4xe, but 7,700 pounds of towing capacity is really a great number. I’ve rented several in multiple trim levels and really like them. The Taco tends to behave better on and off road, but the Gladiator Rubicon was a beast on some very tough trails in Utah recently. It’ll be a tough call, but the bottom line is these will be available while the Tacomas will likely not have much availability.
It does not even come close to the Ranger Raptor. The Ranger Raptor puts this thing to shame!
Love my Gladiator, but the two things that annoy me is the payload capacity and rear sliding window. Every Rubicon or Mojave is in the 1100 pound range. And, the rear window needs to be power sliding.
The biggest change is the EXCESSIVE HIGH PRICE. They must be joking. But lets screw the public for every extra dime we can get. NO THANKS.
They're all over priced. Look at POS canyon, ranger, canyon, etc... Grifter auto companies goons grift dumb duped buyers... Just BMW and VW does😂
When these first launched I thought they made a mistake going high price/lower volume. If they went low priced (or at least a stripped down model), these would have crowded out every high school and college parking lot.
@@DavZell high priced, for what? This isnt about hs kids getting cars. ITS GETTING what you paid for. They approach 90 grand now... There ISNT 90 grand of quality here. Its a jeep, with a bed. A small truck. Car manufactures are spinning out of control. Higher and higher prices....$$$$$. When does it stop?
Jeep's parent company seems to think that to move a low end product up market all they need to do is raise prices exorbitantly. Not make it better or more luxurious in any way. If they were still making the dart they would be asking 50k for it and comparing it to the BMW 240i and Mercedes C class.
@@Aki_Lesbrinco I couldnt agree more with you. Exactly.
I love the Gladiator…it’s so ugly it’s cool!
love the ending of the video
The V8 Hemi 392 engine is a must!
More then half of the of the Gladiators are equipped for overlanding and are super heavy cause of all the gears that we add so the V6 can t handle that really well.
We are thousands of Jeepers who are waiting for the JT 392 V8!
Please please JEEP make it happen !! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
The Jeep JT needs the Hurricane Engine as Stellantis NA must feature. Great 📸 video analysis.
18,000 2023s for sale on Autotrader with discounts of $13,000 off MSRP and still not selling. What’s the point???
I love mine and also love that it had a sticker of 62k and it got it for 46k. Rubicon with LED. Actually feels like a good deal which is saying something this day and age.
@@stoicbeau1212sounds like a really good deal!!
does anyone know when officially starts the production of 2024 gladiators????
1:34 Love your videos and wanted to say hello to @TruckKing
I'm really, really, glad I didn't buy a Jeep Gladiator in 2020 when I was shopping for a mid-sized pickup. My friend bought one in 2021and totally regrets it! The MGP is no where near the claimed MPG, the gas tank is too small, it's super noisy, he had a major drivetrain failure at 40k miles, (under warranty), and paid $5500 more than I paid for my Mid Sized Pickup, and I have several more options! The Gladiator is not worth the money, not even close!
I Like the idea of a 3.0L diesel, but it looses so much payload that I don't know if its worth it,a nd it has a 1K tow capacity loss. Frankly, 3.6L is a good enough engine, unless you tow a lot, and while the diesel losoes 1000lb capacity, it does tow better, and its fast, and has good MGP. I would like that, but, oh, well. I'd go with 6.6L auto, of I'D LOVE a 4Xe version of the Gladiator (I had a '21Wrangler Rubicon 4Xe and LOVE it! BUt I need a truck, and I wish I had the PHEV> I am also torn between the Mojave and RUbicon. RUbicon is more off road capable for rock crawling (rear AND ront lockers and front sway bar disconnect, while Mojave has the awesome FOx 2.5" shocks with the external reservoirs. THe seat improvement is BADLY needed over the previous years. That alone I would trade in my hybrid jeep for a gladiator. Just not sure if I go Mojave X or RUbicon.... I like ROck crawling, and while the RUbicon is better, the Mojave is good enough, and you have the fast transfer case and locker able to be used on 4x4 high.
Great overview. Any word on 2024 Gladiator colors beyond the ones on display?
Why do we as Americans set the bar SO low !! Jeep has REALLY changed nothing but want to charge us more money 🙄.. same look .. one engine choice .. I am thinking the new Land Cruiser for myself
Should last longer than a Jeep
@@pingpongballz5998yeah, it only costs around 50k more
@@stoicbeau1212 50k more ??
Why are Jeep and Ram refusing to put the Hurricane engine in their vehicles??? Big miss here!
I really wish jeep would upgrage the engine to match not only putting on 35/37 inch tires but increase the over all mpgs. I'm on the fence getting this. would use as my daily driver and for all off road adventures. But if it straight out of the box gets lousy mpgs, then as a daily driver that is going to straight up suck.
2021 jeep gladiator sport
bought new April 2020 now has 44k miles
Metal front and rear bumpers, front winch, metal side rails, metal bed rack, 4" lift, Rubicon wheels with 32.75 tires
expect 17.9 to 18.3 mpg. If you have get an automatic you will need to use the manual shifter to get into 8th gear on the highways lol
No upgrades I was getting 21 ish mpg.
They need to add the Hurricane I-6. Hopefully the I-6 will get dual injection too
I like the new grille, dont like the giant dash screen or smaller vents, they are not jeep vents. I agree would like to see the one touch retractable roof and 4xe option.
Im sure this would piss people off, but having the limited space under the hood and a large frame makes this a perfect candidate for an EV. No reason that they couldnt sell both imo, other than the limitations of the factory to build both
E.V.s would be terrible for any off road work. Heavy, limited range and if you load it up to be an adventure vehicle range would plummet. Not to mention that there aren't many charging stations in the backcountry.
@@weirdshibainu most people aren't offroading 200+ miles in a day, also this has a pentastar so getting higher power to weight ratio will be easy even if it weighs 5k. Most campsites offer an electrical hookup as well which would help.
@@bobman717 They may not off road 200 miles per day, but they do over a few days. Try overlanding vs camping. There are no electrical outlets
I want to see the older Jeep (original Wagoneer?) that was off to the right around 0:25.
Great stuff Thanks
392 and diesel please 🙏
Besides the fact that Jeep has to deal with the power train, it also missing the wireless charging phone pad as well for the refresh 2024 Gladiator and Wrangler too.
Wireless charging is a waste, anyway.
will it have purple exterior?
Jeep dodge Chrysler need to lower their prices and maybe they’d sell some units! I have 3 dealers within my commute and lots are full to the gills and they won’t budge on price so I’m guessing they will be slashing prices come next month with the 24’s arriving!
Does anyone else in this segment offer a plugin hybrid? I believe the answer is no, nor do any offer a V8. Personal the truck is right on par with everything else in its segment. In my opinion it does it better than the rest. So it has no need to waste time and money adding those to its line up.
The 2024 Tacoma will have Hybrid.
When is the hurricane engine coming
I have a 2022, bought new, likable...sure. Remember this: it comes with a planstick front bumper, steel is extra, no forward facing camera 📸 it is extra, no adaptive cruise control it is extra, and I wouldn't want it considering the price of the windshield that goes along with that anyway. No rear power plug in the box, it is extra, no blue tooth speaker it is extra, no spray in boxliner you're doing it at your own cost. No floor Matt's, you're buying. No bug deflector or window louvers. Oh and the front bumper, winch, winch mounting plate, steel skid plate, triple hoop grill guard, light mounting brackets, and driving lights are about $6500(just to buy it, not installed )out of pocket. Led fog lights to fit the Mopar steel one piece rock climber style bumper are $450 with NO wiring harness, and the clevis hook points have 5/8" holes that can fit a half inch clevis rated for 2.5 tons. C'mon jeep!! Get with it. Ok so with all of that in mind...u decide.
Power windows should be standard across all models
This upgrade is basically like upgrading from the iPhone 14 to iPhone 15. Wtf is the point
Fantastic.
Are they even considering putting the hurricane twin turbo inline? That thing has plenty of power and torque! And add some nostalgia with an inline 6 👍
I wish they had a 4xe gladiator 😭
Still rockin' that tired, old 3.6 Pentastar, yea no thankyou!
I wouldn't place any restrictions on the amount of money I'd be willing to spend on a 2dr Gladiator.
Riding around on city roads and parking lots full of dips and pot holes is basically overlanding. So I will always choose the lifted version for real world driving.
No they need to bring the 4XE and the Rubicon 392 V8 the 4 banger idk
Need 392 and 4xe. Otherwise buy a 23 for 10k off msrp.
Exactly 💯
Need a 392 for the Gladiator
No solid thunk?
😂
Lack of 4xe or the etorque hemi are holding me back from even considering this
Need the I6 asap
1700 paylod is ONLY on the Sport S models, I think the others drop to about 1000 payload. 2021-2023 with diesel engine dropped paayload to 899... THat was sad for a diesel.
Please DO NOT do a 4 cylinder or 4xe. Terrible idea for a long term vehicle choice
And just like that Jeep decided to cancel Gladiators by not offering something worth considering. How about 392 already? V8 Hemi, and i-6 turbo motor. Com on. Please.
put the Cummings diesel engine in it !
They dropped the ecodiesel and only offer an underpowered V6…. I think Stellantis is not doing the brand any good.
Everyone wants the 392
Jeep focusing more on the infotainment system being larger than making their engines more competitive 😂
4xe and the 392
23’ model years getting $13k discounts, looking at a 23’ Mojave with MSRP of $61k for $47k
Drop the dealer name. I need that
David Stanley CDJR Oklahoma City
I have been saying it, and even sending feedback/requests to jeep since they came out with 4xe, if they make the gladiator in 4xe I will buy one! with the delay inn news I was hoping that and their promise to bring 4xe to all Jeeps by 2025 for an announcement about that powertrain for '24 So Disappointing Jeep!
Death wooble?
Needs greater payload and more power
JEEP
THE GLADIATOR NEEDS MORE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If Jeep is supposably "listening to their customers/people" then where is the V8, 35 inch tires, and the 6 foot bed? I prefer 6 foot bc every other manufacturer has that 5 to 5.5 foot bed already. Jeep listen, don't do what's already been done. Expand a bit, go bigger, wider, and louder!
Make mine a 392 please
Not interested need the twin turbo hurricane. And hybrid motor give us the 700 hp jeep!!
V8 period
4xe is planned to come 2025
Ecodiesel jeep gladiator please 🙏
Meh. Nothing new worth noting
Ive sold my Gladiator because of the 3.6 engine its weak and has no power👎🏼
392 definitely is the right engine for the Gladiator👍🏼
Disappointing could have crushed this with new powertrain options.
So, more unnecessary tech that pushes up cost and is going to break?
First detailed video about the new Gladiator....You can add the new big screen to you old gladiator 😅😂
That old ass V6 makes it a non-starter. Ford has 3 great turbo V6 options across their lineup and Jeep is still using this old under powered thing.
No V8?
I do not get where Jeep thinks thiese updates are enough compared to GM and Ford offerings. Stellantis needs to get it together and dump some money into Jeep and Ram truck development. Status quo doesn't seem to be working.
6:00 The large LCD screen is a BIG mistake. First, in backup mode it is still the small square it was before, but it completely ruins the interior look.
Gladiator needs a 7 seater hybrid family off-roader version. Thats it. Watch it go off the lot like hot cake.
Stellantis has given up on North America . not spending any money on needed improvements .
👍👍👍
Gladiator needs an “affordable” V8.
How about Jeep fix the blistering paint issues that are plaguing the ‘18 and newer JL’s and JT’s. 6 years have come and gone and they still get can’t that straightened out. Jeez.
No one touch, 392, nor 4xE, such a disappointment big let down
8:25 "The legroom is pretty good for someone my height, I'm 5 foot 7." Most young American women are taller than that now. The average height for men is 5'10", with younger men and women averaging much taller than older men and women.
Where the hell is the new Hurricane engine???? What was the point of that being developed?
No 4xe no buy
i want 600hp.
"V-8 is a dying breed of engine" - really?
"Huge success"? Are you a shill? I have heard directly from multiple dealers that it isn't selling as they thought it would. Jeep thought that they would take market share away from other truck makers, like Ford, Chevy, and Toyota. Instead, they are just taking market share away from themselves, from the Wrangler.
meh…..
Jeep needs to scrap all the stupid powertrain options and go with a well built V6 with more H.P.
I was hoping they would have a 4xe version
Gladiator Mojave vs Ranger Raptor not even close at this point Ford kills Jeep 😢
Gladiator needs the v8
No one wants a "plug-in hybrid" Gladiator!!
This is a huge disappointment. Lack luster presentation and no release of anything meaningful to help bring in customers against their competition. I would have signed the check immediately if they would have released a 5.7, 392, 4xe, or Hurricane. All the other stuff is easily added after talking possession.
To stay competitive, it needed new powertrain options. Unless Jeep does some sort of secondary big reveal, the Bison, Ranger Raptor, GMC Bison, and Trailhunter will take further market share.
I'm not sure if this is the nail in the coffin, or they are going to wait until Toyota releases all the specs and opens ordering on the Trailhunter to make a surprise announcement. Similar to when they announced the 392 when Ford released the Bronco.
Very disappointing
