      @John333Scout Год назад +3

      @@kucuser Agreed he would of still been third but I think if he did have those extra points he wouldnt have agreed to tie with Shaw in the deadlift event knowing that was a place where grabbing a point from Shaw would have been crucial to his (more possible) win and Eddie was the best deadlifter there and would have most likely won that event. Which would have played into Thor's favor, maybe leading to him not rushing as much on the overbar event idk... but a half point there and then a full point on the over bar over Shaw and Thor would have taken and could have taken that win. Eddie and Thor both gave away points to Shaw in those events that i believe they both could and should have won.

    In retrospective Thor always was his worst enemy, he was all over the place during this competition. The frame was horrible, kettlebell was supposed to be his best event, he won the pull, he placed ok at the deadlift... he wasn't consistant at all.

    • @kucuser
      @kucuser Год назад +2

      Thor had to rush kattlebells cause Brian was next, and if Thor would won that, then there is only one point between two of them going in to stones. Brain is one of best in history at throwing events also so that was a must have risk if he wanted to win title.

    Thor normally wins every deadlift and object over bar event, weird to see him lose on these, he improved massively going forward from this.

    • @John333Scout
      @John333Scout Год назад +2

      He and Shaw are by far in a league of their own in over the bar. Thor being up before Shaw really made him rush and he spent too much energy early on and trying to get to that last one as fast as possible. I think he could have won the event but being last to go was a huge advantage. Now deadlift, you are thinking of 2018-2020 Thor and yes then he was the best deadlifter and won all the time but Eddie Hall retired after 2017 which they had the coolest deadlift shootout. But at this time it was Eddie was the best deadlifter followed by Shaw. 2011-2014 Deadlift was one of Thor's biggest weakness, 2015-2016 he starts really improving in deadlift but never was challenging for the wins. 2017 is when he is one of the top guys in the world at deadlift behind Hall.
