I gotta say as a fan of strongmen I've been binging VSM the key to winning seems besides being in the top tier every event but also more importantly not completely fail at anything. Kieliszkowksi has always had something like the grip here, deadlift in other competitions or max squat where he falls out of the top 5 and it costs him the gold every time. Qualifying rounds for the previous year’s champion is absolutely absurd. This practice should be eliminated by inviting 12-15 competitors ,who qualified from sanctioned competitions or finished in the top 5 the previous year, and have them all compete over 3 days with 2 events per day. Thor would have won this competition if not for the frivolous preliminary heats.
