Using 440 pure lewitt.. sounds so great! Absolutely satisfied not thinking of an upgrade
Sennheiser MD 421 , Neumann U 87 , TLM 103 , Shure SM57 etc. etc. etc.
I do love their 640! Also the JZ V12
640 TS is still my Swiss Army knife for everything from vox to acoustic piano.
I love the townsend labs sphere L22, really want a pair of those at some point. But if we are talking standard microphones my list would have to be, AKG c414, coles 4038, Lewitt LCT 640, Royer R12, shure sm57, senheiser 421, e906, beyerdynamic tg drumset pro. I could go on and on and on and on and on.
I saved up for months, sold t-shirts, did odd jobs, and found all sorts of legal ways to get the cash to get the LCT 940. I did it because of how awesome you made it sound. I'm still in love with that mic. I also did it because the LCT 240 my mother in law got me for Christmas blew my mind. I even remember when you tested out the 3D printed prototype of the 1040. Lewitt has become my absolute favorite mic company of all time. I've sold and/or gifted many of my other mics because Lewit has amazed me so much. I thank you for bringing them into my world. I truly appreciate you and all you do.

Okay, this might actually be one of my favourite sounding mixes and tracks by Steve. It's GORGEOUS.

I have multiple Lewitt mics, including a 940. It has been my go to vocal mic for years. I've used that trick that Warren talks about in the video, recording the lead vocal with the tube setting, and then harmonies (from the same singer) using the FET setting. Works a dream. The added saturation settings with the 1040, along with the additional tonal options, will make this 1040 the perfect studio mic for just about any and every need. Love the song, too, Warren. Glad this idea finally found some wings and took flight. Love Steve's vocals. Also love the bass lines, and his harmonies as well. I might just have to download this one and put a serious mix on it. Congrats on completing this great product, Lewitt! Nicely done!

I only have an sm7b and am really looking to expand my mic inventory. It is difficult as a university student to save up and buy high quality equipment such as the Lewitt 1040. I've been following this company since their first mics and it's a pleasure to see how far they have come with this new release.

The SM7B is more than enough microphone if you're in school and have limited money. That's a killer mic.

Had the privilege of getting a 1040 to try out, and I knew immediately it was going to be the go-to mic in my studio. Used it on acoustic guitar, male vocals, female vocals, and percussion so far and it has absolutely demolished any task I throw at it!

What can I say Lewitt is my favourite mic company. I wish I had all your mics. I have your 640ts and I absolutely love it. I have used it on my wife's vocal with very little processing and she sounds great and have used it in churches for Choir recordings and they also sound great with very little processing. Thanks Warren and Lewitt for everything that ye do, this mic looks unreal and sounds fantastic.

Wow, just wow. Now I have something to aim for…I’ve always been a traditionalist, using mainly Shure 57s and 58s for instruments and vocals, and saving for a Royer. I think I’ll adjust that savings aim. Thanks!

I have a TLM 49, clean mic. So I’m biased.
Although, more saturation recorded outside of the box would be awesome. The blend knob would be great to find that sweet spot.
But how about this song guys? Great vocal performance. “We had it allllllllll” I like it. Great story telling. And the choice of harmony was tasteful.
Even Warren got so acoustic action in. I like how he always seems to add something to his recordings with other artist, not just mixing and mastering.

I really appreciate all the time and effort you put in to making this review, and am looking forward to listening to the recordings you've made. - although I probably couldn't justify spending so much on a mic, it's nice to know that you don't have to own a U67 to get that type of quality. - I'm very happy with the Mojave MA301 fet, as an affordable condenser, but I'd love to have one of these.

This mic is amazing. I have a Sennheiser and an EV RE20 for voiceovers...but this mic could replace those and the other mics on my wish list. Scratch that. My wish list is now this, and only this!

I love tank specs for my audio gear, at least the one I don't have to move constantly, haha... and that beast of Remote+PSU weights more than 4 kilos, always a good sign construction-quality wise

Great, the edit with all the different settings cut right one after another is perfect! You and Eric went above and beyond in this one. Thanks! Just one little thing: I would have mentioned the price (~3500€) in the beginning where you also mentioned the price of its "predecessor". It's kind of a dealbreaker for most people and thus important. But again: I appreciate the incredible amount of work that went into this a lot!

That looks awesome! I do have a sweep able polar pattern on my sontronics Mercury, and I like switching up the sound of it using my preamps selectable transformers /caps and preamp section. So it looks like wonderful encompassed unit!
