Any chance you guys are going to do a whole house makeover? It could be a series. You guys are very creative with one small space but re-organising/design a whole house could be very fun.
They did in the past (if you haven't already seen those of course c: ), there's a whole serie on Alexandra's own house, and one about her parents'! But yea, it would be definitely cool to see even more, haha!
@@KiouSky Yeah I've seen them. They're great and even cute. But it might be different when it's a total stranger's home, learning along the way what really works. Managing the flow through the whole house might be different than doing one room each time.
@Maatjuhhh Like @arh1234 said, they did one woman's entire apartment a while back and it turned out gorgeous. I can't remember when it was though, sorry
Please, please, please do the rest of his loft in a future makeover! I would love to see this style and color palette continued downstairs into the rest of his space and give him a truly cohesive feel.
Thank you for the disclaimer about that frosted glass and the light it gave the bathroom. For a brief moment I was so worried about how much light he'd lose in there 😅😅 -- this was a SERIOUS upgrade for him, and he needed it haha. Nice job.
Your desk should never be backlit, so I would flip the office area so he gets the light on his face, and he has the great panelling as a background. The line wash is gorgeous, and there's so much warmth in the room. Very relaxing
Totally makes sense for video call quality etc. but, I personally get a headache looking into light for such a long time. Especially with the contrast between screen and window. Always have to have the light shining onto my screen.
I've always associated lime wash walls with dreamy Mediterranean style spaces, so it never would have occurred to me to use it in a industrial loft space, but it works spectacularly well! The faded color and texture lime wash gives fits perfectly with the utilitarian finishes of a loft. Genius!
great job! I would put the chair on the other side of the desk, so that there is no glaring light on his screen and also in video calls the other participants see the nice new wall instead of the rest of his apartment or windows. It's be such a wonderful backdrop!
Came here so say exactly this. And the dresser could have been rearranged or downsized to accommodate the reversed desk setup. But overall such a major transformation. Another top notch project from AG! Love it love love it
They could have use the other side with the dresser as the desk area with the chair on the wall. The chair would be snagging the corner of the carpet in this design.
My favourite thing about watching AG videos is you can just feel the joy. It makes me feel like I’m part of the team and love laughing along with all of you.
What a change!! I love how warm it feels and so cohesive. Great job. I love how you are open to changing the vision when you are actually on site and working. Adding the wash to the other walls was definitely the right call, it really added to that feeling of warmth and coziness ❤
Just not surprised anymore that you work such magic in each makeover, but still love watching the process and being blown away by the final reveal. You have matured into such a talented and versatile designer. Would love to see you do the rest of his apartment - Aaron seems like a real sweetheart.

The extension of the lime wall on the side walls was such a great idea. The furniture pieces and the mirror are such cohesive combinations. Love it especially it suits Aaron's personality 😍
She is so funny. She creaks me up. I love that she feels free enough to be kooky on air. Shows her confidence in herself and her ability to make a space look amazing!
When l heard that this makeover was for a man l didn't know what to expect, but he was so open to change. Now the room looks cozy, warm, and comfortable with a touch of posh. That headboard is so luxurious. And the wooden touches add interest, drawing in the eyes. He loves it. Understandably.
What a fresh, warm space! It ticked all the boxes, and more. Not too much stuff, cohesive, that desk placement solution is inspired. Another Team AG home run!
Also nice to have your back against a wall as opposed to the room and especially the entry point to the room for feng shui. That said, I don't think there's actually enough depth to do that with where the bed is, and I think the bed can't go anywhere else
It's also good for your eyes to look up and move your eyes around 20m away from you every so often, especially when using a computer for long periods of time, if he can look around the apartment or out the window of the loft is probably really helpful.
Hello I just watched the Sorry Girls, Diy Danie, and now AG. I love this Canadian lineup. aye! This feels like one of the biggest night and day transformations! Like it was so cold and sterile before, kinda college dorm room vibes, and now it's soo warm and cozy. Doesn't even look like the same space! ❤
I'm blown away! That this cold, sterile white space could be turned to a warm & welcoming home like this! I think one key was to hide the glass with the panel; it made a huge difference to the result.
Great transformation. One recommendation...paint the sliding closet door, it sticks out like a sore thumb. It'll make the wall flow uniformly into the awesome wood paneling.
Beautiful, I think one of my favorite spaces, so much warmer. I too have a work from home sit-stand desk, I placed it on casters so I can push it against my dining room wall when I'm done with work. Then when I'm working I pull it out and have a nice backdrop and can look into my whole space instead of staring at a wall. Game changer! The wood slats and art print would make for a stunning wfh background.
I often worry when you ignore a client's request, even when the place looks good post-Gatering. But this guy mostly let you go for it - and it is just gorgeous! Really stunning transformation, congratulations.
print behind the lamp is odd. I'd put the "jack" on that night table. Lose the green vase. find some fun book ends (maybe in leather) and do a stand of books on the dresser vs the open book. Love the bench...
I LOVE that you brought the lime wash out onto the surrounding walls as well. It feels so much more intentional and elevated than just the “accent wall”!
Grand Slam!!!!!!!! Love everything about this makeover, and last but not least, love the overhead flush mount light fixture that you chose! Would love to see the rest of his apartment, and see what you could do with it!
I love all the transformations!!! I recently moved to a new to me place as a first time home owner, and watching all your videos back for design inspiration. Hours spent watching your videos I can really see how your style has involved as well!
Saw you on The Sorry Girls! Ran over to sub then was so excited to get a notification for this while watching you on The Sorry Girls!! Love this makeover! Looks so great!
This looks great! It looks so cozy and I'm sure he's going to love working in there. The only thing I didn't prefer was the art over the bed. I feel it was too big and not the same vibe. I honestly think it would look ok with nothing above the bed, or one of the"stick" art you love.
Love it! Much warmer & cozier. The only thing I would have done differently is hang the picture leaning against the wall (now covered by the lamp) up on that side wall next to the closet.
I actually would have turned the desk out and in the corner so he's not facing a wall. That's kinda crappy to be staring at a wall all day even if it's a nice one. then you could have gotten a tall dresser so it would all fit. Also, the chair is going to get caught up in the rug, you wouldn't have to worry about that if the desk was outward and chair was just on the wood floor. Otherwise, I love it!
I was thinking the same thing, hopefully it was just to show the room styled and they'll explain to him that option of desk rearrangement. Also, if you ever watch DearModern (Feng Shui guy) the chair is not in the "command position" this way.
@ 10:29 AG states the panels would be great for Aaron’s calls, so initially she envisioned this wall to be a backdrop behind his desk. I agree, the desk facing the wall is not ideal. As someone who has followed the Feng Shui philosophy for many years, no way could I have this; it’s extremely vulnerable. The desk or wall needs a mirror if he keeps the desk facing the wall.
Oh! I loved this makeover! You and the gang are utterly fab! I am a new subscriber, and totally bingeing your shows! also down to earth, clever, inspiring and gorgeous! Sending love and good vibes from Oz !!! How deserving and humble is Aaron!
I love the overall design but there's a few slight shifts in placement that need to happen. That rug being partially under the desk chair is going to be insanely annoying and the rug will get super worn in that one spot and the dresser is a smidge too close to the desk.
I love the paint color! That wash is amazing. And covering that odd glass wall warmed up his desk area perfectly. The rug, the headboard well it all pulled this together so nicely. Great job!
I love everything about this except the art that's over the bed. Maybe it is just not my style and the glass is distracting, think if it been an abstract canvas it would have added to the warmth.
Interesting. I never liked white sheets. I find darker colors to be more appealing to sleep in. I love my linen sheets! I bought them because of Alexandra’s recommendation. Best sheets I’ve ever used.
the generic art, ugh! not that hard or expensive to get something more unique or local, I do it myself and know a lot of other designers who can pull off something way more interesting. you can tell by his pinterest that he liked odd unique art too, it was like his main thing IMO.
I love the idea to lime wash the walls and separate the desk area with that panel. It really does warm the place up considerably! I will be honest though, I feel like I'm alone in hating a plain white bed. It feels clinical and cold in a hotel/Airbnb type way that is the opposite of cozy. I see plain white linens and I struggle to think a real person lives here. It's also such a loss for a pop of personality to go without a duvet that's a color, a print, or a texture at the very least. The rest is very fun so it did come across strange I guess, but honestly I would hate plain white linens anywhere. 😆
Anyone else getting a little tired of the wavy edged mirrors? Maybe tapestry on the walls, I have hung beautiful rugs as art or have seen them instead of a headboard...

I'm sceptical. From the way it was worded I think they were talking about how much light it let into the BEDROOM and not the bathroom D:
There are bathrooms without natural light and they are fine. I think he needed the change un the bedroom more.

The line wash is gorgeous, and there's so much warmth in the room. Very relaxing
That's what I was thinking too, plus then the desk chair doesn't sit right on the corner of the rug! But maybe there's no space..
Aaron had it that way before and didn’t mind. He can surely switch it if he wants.
Totally makes sense for video call quality etc. but, I personally get a headache looking into light for such a long time. Especially with the contrast between screen and window. Always have to have the light shining onto my screen.

Anyone else getting a little tired of the wavy edged mirrors? Maybe tapestry on the walls, I have hung beautiful rugs as art or have seen them instead of a headboard...
I've paused this video to thank you. I've always loved Madagascar Dragon trees but didn't know what they were called so I've never known what ask for lol.
Also, you and your design team's vids are phenomenal and you're finishing touches are the best! Just like your clients, when you show them the final reveal I always say "wow" out loud. 🙌😊
