Don't forget to mention that they do check your tires. I tried getting an inspection done and the guy straight up told me that I wasn't gonna pass because the tread on my tires were too low.

Someone needs to please mention documentation. It took me a week to find out the reason they didn't accept my inspection the first time was because there's a part for contractors (meaning drivers) to fill out before they submit documentation. Something I hadn't noticed before and, this being my first inspection, I DIDN'T KNOW! Please, please release a basic troubleshooting video for inspections. Thank you! So excited. Fingers crossed, it's processed this time!
States vary because for ny they use the state inspection for inspection. Either way it’s good to make sure everything is good and working properly when dealing with many people using the car.
No need to pay for inspection. I used to but don’t anymore. I just filled it up myself and upload because both Lyft & Uber don’t authentic the inspection. Wht u give them is what they accept.

Your videos are interesting but I see the license plate you in California. I also notice you have that phone holder sticking to your windshield. In ca it’s only legal to have it either bottom left or bottom right of windshield and that’s it
This has got to be the EASIEST inspection ever! In my location SC we have to go to a certified shop like jiffy lube etc and they do everything not the customer. Plus they check way more than what u showed. They took my wheels off check bearings brake pads etc. Which makes sense to operate safely. Maybe it’s a location thing.
They do this everywhere, either you go to your own mechanic with a list or you go to your local hub so they can check it out

That's interesting. I didn't know some of these things were on the inspection form. Also inspectors need to only inspect stuff from the form. It's not essay.
Well they inspect what’s on the form but also if there are major cracks or anything then that wont pass for Uber or Lyft

Lyft are the ones that check but Uber checked my car like 8 sec and they were done lyft were complaining about my tint but I wasn’t going to take it off I passed both they both Really don’t check

the one thing that confuses the hell out of me is the inspection process for uber and lyft . The more i search on utube more I am confused. Uber appears to have a free virtual inspection process, Greenlight i think. Now with Lyft their website makes it sound you just need a copy of your current state inspection certification. But when I go on utube there appears to be a form that you need to bring to a mechanic to get it inspected so they can fill it out. And these inspections vary in price from $50-100. what surprises me when i search for this content on youtube its usually from 2-5 years ago so i have no clue if it applies to 2022, thanks for any help
I can totally relate to you man. You explained the situation very well and it's identical to what I'm experiencing as far as as well as they're not being any recent drivers experiences with the process. Honestly at this point I think I'm just going to fill it out myself and send it in. From my understanding and what I've been able to find out from other drivers is that they do not verify the documentation. This is liability and they need a copy to have on file. Just be sure your car is not actually dangerous and hit the road man. Catch you on the flip side dude. Hope you make lots of money too 😎🤓🙏

I heard that in most places you can use one inspection form for both Uber and Lyft but not in California because the Lyft inspection requires that the driver's license be verified. Because of that their form is different than Uber's so you have to get 2 inspections.

Didn't they forget to inspect the most important part? The Engine!!! lolol. I wouldn't trust and "inspector" who isn't knowledgeable of engines! I would work to get a law passed that all inspectors be certified mechanics as a feel this 12 point inspection is not nearly enough points!
