This is best solution in the case a client lies and get you deactivated......Once Uber or Lyft find out the truth, been that you were not actived for a day or two. Uber or Lyft should caculated your lost in wages and take it from the lying client ( at least $100) plus the ride they originally took and paid you. That way it will teach them not bring false accusations toward the driver.....if you agree give me a thumb up..thanks!!!!
Find out the truth? Tell me, how does one do that when there is zero evidence to support either person? If two people come to you with opposing stories and there is no camera footage, no sound footage who do you believe? what is the truth!? Do you not understand where the actual issue lies? The rest is totally incidental.
I use a dash cam. I've had people freeze when they see it. One guy wanted to get out. Most don't care or they are curious. After my first false report, I bought a camera
If you have a dash cam in my province, its illegal and you’ll get deactivated if someone reports it. You are also not allowed to record federal officers without them first agreeing to it.
Its illegal to try stealing confidential government documents. As a passenger for Uber Black i carry highly sensitive documents that a dash cam could leak. You are to ask passengers that you have an active recording device. If any information is leaked, you risk spending a majority of your life in prison.
@@rota6905 So what's going to stop the driver from taking a quick look at your documents while you're looking out the window? If you conceal the secret stuff the camera or driver can't read them.
If the rider wants you to drop them off at a different location than specified in the app and they cannot change the final destination - which will happen with the Uber app when you are close to your final destination - let them out of the car, then proceed to the address in the app, anyway. The rider gets dropped off where they want to be dropped off and you get paid for completing the trip in accordance with the app.
I like that. This way if they ask to be dropped off at a different location other than the one they gave in the app and try to report you, you can say, "Let's look at the ride and see what it shows." You wanna keep playing stupid? Riders that do stuff like this should be banned from the platform.
My favorite scam that they love to pull is when they have a friend with them that needs to go a different destination and they “act” like they can’t find or update the destination on the app for the second stop and right when you offer to help update the destination they magically find it in 2 seconds.. this is where being a knowledgeable driver helps!
Lol, I had a guy who brought a girl with him and said he would pay to take her to a particular gas station that was a few miles from his destination, but he never added the stop. So I didn't end his ride until after I dropped her off, got my gas, and changed his destination.
Does it keep calculating the gas when you take them further but leave the app running? It seems like sometimes I don't get extra money when that happens.
Scam #1 just happened to me on Tuesday. I have a 5 rating on Uber and Lyft and a rider complained that I was using my phone while driving, speeding and almost got in an accident. Unbelievable how some people have no conscience.
One scam I experienced that you didn't mention was a customer put a short trip in the app to get a driver to pick them up, then they change the destination to a really long trip after the ride starts.
I’ve had that. They kept changing destinations. And bam 200 mile trip. I love long trips but I was not prepared and probably had another rider in queue. Kinda like when you get 9 item delivery in instacart and it turns into 200 when all is said and done. It’s BS
I had one where they put in the name of a very popular location like a shopping mall, but they put in an address way closer on the same street. As a driver if you weren't paying attention to the GPS because it said Such And Such Mall and you knew where it was, you might miss it and they only get charged for the distance to the drop off. I had it happen and asked them to change the destination and it worked, so I know it wasn't some glitch or incorrect address in the GPS system. If I'm wrong, let me know why. Thanks
I use a fake dash cam I bought for $5. It looks just like the real thing. You just insert a AA battery and the red light turns on. Scammers say turn off the camera or I will leave. I just say leave this cam is for both of our safety.
You should get a real one. Someone might get upset over being recorded and get reactive to the camera, causing their inappropriate or violent behavior. Then you have a person acting bad due to having a camera but you actually have no recording so you've just screwed yourself.

What makes me laugh is the people who, in a rural area with long pickup times, will wait about 2 minutes, then cancel and re-request to try to get rid of the Premium Pickup bonus, assuming they'll get the same driver with a shorter pickup time. Half the time they wait too long and get a cancel charge, and a good portion of the time I'll get another request before they can re-up their request, meaning that they then will get another driver with an even longer pickup time.
Instead of saying, "Hey, what's your name?" I always say, "Are you Jeff?" and make up a name. If they lie and say that's their name, I tell them I'm actually here for so-and-so.
I had a rider in Boulder who said my vehicle was dirty and had trash in the back. I get great reviews and am proud of them. "Friendly" "clean/nice vehicle" "felt safe"... It's sad that people do that to drivers. It's especially sad when the driver is good at their job.
@@TheRideshareHub yeah, it's been good. Yesterday, I went Longmont (home) to Boulder, to DIA, to Breckinridge (over 100 miles into the mountains) back to Boulder, back to Longmont. Around 7 1/2 hours made $250. These rocky mountain views are priceless. I'M LOVIN IT.

#7 has happened to my husband!! At that time he was only working for uber, when he started the app he got his first ride for the day and it was some elder man asking him first about why he is with uber etc. Eventually he convinced my husband to go with lyft too. So then he started riding for both. And also my husband had to endure the other scam many times about passengers saying they smelled alcohol in the car or that he was speeding etc. After 2 years of that his account recently got deactivated and we have no idea why but now its clear its because of the lying passengers!
@@TheRideshareHub Then the driver should be able to manually refund the client through the app for the difference, not lose out entirely on a fare all because they took a wrong turn.

My very first ride was a scam: The guy reversed locations, home and grocery store. I'm already getting wait time at his home, and he calls that he's at the grocer. So I go over there. he gets in and I take him home while the app says I'm still waiting. I asked him to fix it and he says he can't. But I was still getting wait time. Then the app says drive around his housing complex and return to his address, 3TIMES!!. Finally it says $13.75. So instead of getting a ride for $3, the no-show rate, he paid 18 or more for a $5 ride.
I saw where people cancel food deliveries exactly after the delivery is made before the driver marks it as delivered and the other one is where they complain about the delivery time and while watching you on GPS and ask for a discount. It's sad that they do this to gig workers because everyone knows that gig workers really don't make much.
I have had two occasions where my rider reported that I picked up the wrong rider. They got a refund. I reported it to Iber and got paid. The first one Uber paid me double.

when I use to drive, I had a passenger at MIDNIGHT use the lost and found feature on the app to call my phone claiming to be the hub. They wanted me to verify my ID and full credit card info. I was about to pick up another passenger and was waiting on them, passenger got in my car and the scammer who claimed to be working for the hub told me to have my passenger step out of the car for a second. I'm just like, I can't do that! Hung up on them and connected the hub the next day. They never call, everything they need from you they will contact you from the app. I knew exactly who it was too because they seem suspicious from the start asking me how much money I made that night. Months later, I took a lyft myself. Shared my story with my driver and he said he had a similar experience and pretty much confirmed it was the same guy who scammed me with location and the mannerism of the passenger. There is a warning at the hub with that location last I heard.
How you gonna beat the passenger to report if you dont know if there going to do it at times? Most times its done w out any notation of you knowing its going to go down.
Thx Dylan. This made sense of a couple of the shorts you posted (context). You seem like a really nice guy, so I hope you don't take this the wrong way. You need to tighten up the dialogue. Do you really think counterfeit money says, "fake" or "counterfeit" somewhere on the bill? Do a little research or just cut after you tell people not to accept cash. Also, in some states, you can record conversations; why can't you have a camera running to record passengers? Is it company policy? Can you tell them they are being recorded? Bet that would cut down on the number of scammers and con artists trying to take advantage. Good luck, brother ✌🏼
Dash camera is definitely needed these days. Happenned to me too and as driver and anonymous ratings there is almost zero protection for us drivers. In spite the fact that media are full of bad stories about drivers, the truth is there are much more horrible stories about riders which we drivers are afraid to report correctly as the client would know we report them, and could easily retaliate and purposely gave low rating in retaliation.
I'm considering becoming a driver. Doesn't the app have GPS on it that you use to drive the passenger? So, if the passenger cancels, wouldn't the GPS stop showing the destination?
I think local municipalities should get the municipal police involved in this business when it comes to situations that are actually illegal like scammers abusing the ride apps.
I always stay in the app with navigation therefore if a ride is cancelled I don't know anywhere to go but to the curb so they can get out, period. Last night there were two older ladies trying to scam me with an UberPool. The rider ordered 1 seat and showed up with a friend the we had a language barrier. Luckily my 1st pool rider explained with more detail in the riders native language. As I cancelled & drove away the 1st rider told me the 2nd rider commented that I should have let her friend come along because it was late and now something could happen to them. Unfortunately that's not my problem you chose to attend an event til late in the evening & don't know how to use a rideshare platform or know how to use it but don't want to pay an extra $0.50, or whatever reason you have in your mind. If we are in an accident THE DRIVER IS FUCKED cause an unallowed passenger is in the car. If the system adds another rider who pays for two seats but they aren't available the driver is fucked. Uber is getting better at listening to the drivers but you have to be proactive. If something feels off during a ride call them or submit a report through the app once the ride has ended. I'm noticing more riders trying to scam using the Pool option during surge times and in the evenings so I have been alerting Uber immediately when the ride ends. The riders are acting as if they don't know what Pool means & surprised when new riders are added, they request that routes be altered or new riders be ignored, trying to bring addt riders, and complaining the driver didn't follow the route accordingly. I had a lady 2 weeks ago claim that someone else ordered the ride for her & when I didn't ignore the addt riders added through the platform she told Uber I put her in danger. Luckily I reported her 1st when the ride ended because her conversation was personally intrusive & she was trying to promote her husbands business and kept asking for my phone # to refer future Uber rides to. I didn't take her bait and knew that everything she said was a setup. Uber replied to me within 5 mins stating if I recognized this rider ever again when I arrive to the pickup not to accept the ride and leave. 1 rider with ulterior motives can get your account temporarily suspended while the rideshare company investigates the claims. Always have a backup if possible and remain proactive.
@@gofastER I have Google translate, but I don't have time to be scammed. It's not going to happen or compromise my integrity with rideshare platforms. Thanks for the suggestion but they knew what they were doing and thought they could get away with it but couldn't.
@@anthonywhite7873 The pros often outweigh the cons. It's usually not until something really outrageous happens that makes us give up on this. I recently had an issue with a rider who said they left something in my car only to discover they wanted my personal # to ask me out & when I declined they started harassing me. What's even worse is that I told the company & they said I should have given the rider 3 stars or less so "the system" would know not to pair us. The problem with that is the rider started harassing me after my time expired to change the rating. Yesterday I was paired with the rider again and just let it fall off which affects my acceptance rate but oh well. Most riders are amazing and the entire experience is great. I wouldn't not try it merely because of negative reports. When us drivers give this feedback it's to help each other stay on guard with possible unforeseen occurences. Uber is getting better at listening to us and Lyft has usually been very good about hearing both sides before taking action. Good luck 😘
I just had a passenger claim that she/he smelled liquor and how I said inappropriate things as well as almost crashing the car. This was all LIES. I have over 1,200 rides in only 3 months of driving and amazing customer comments and 5 star rating. Lyft resolved the matter In two days in my favor and saw that they lied. My ratings and quantity of rides in a short period of time was the only thing that saved me from deactivation. That’s what I think. I will now be even MORE careful. It’s crazy how these passengers can destroy someone’s income for a few bucks! This all happened Labor Day weekend..this past weekend. Loss of a lot of money, but better than being deactivated for sure! Having a UNION for drivers would help in this situation. Never thought it would happen to me since I treat EVERYONE 100% with respect, even if they don’t deserve it. So BEWARE, IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU!!! Always leave a note to lyft after a shady ride. Stay safe out there drivers!!!!! Cheers!!!!
Yikes. So glad I'm watching these videos. I'm preparing to do rideshares. Right now I'm only able to do Uber Eats. I just want to know what to expect. Thanks a lot.
I've hade several passengers who won't or will refuse to give me their name when I ask and will ask who I'm looking for. I won't tell them who I'm looking for as I've had that happen where someone was trying to steal someone else's ride saying it was his boss who ordered the ride for him.
You may want to add this to your watch out for list. I received a ride request from a guy who phoned me while I was on my way to get him. He said are you coming? I answered yes, I'll be there in 5 minutes. He said, I'm only going a short distance but I need to make 2 stops. You can charge Uber $100 and we'll split it 50/50. I told him that I had nothing to do with what Uber charges and he hung up. Before I could cancel the ride, he called right back offering to do the same deal but this time he raised the amount to $150 and we were to get $75 each. I told him that I don't do those kind of deals, I just drive, plus I only carry about $3 or $4 when I'm out here in case I want a drink or chips. He hung up again.
What happens when you pick up a rider and they sign up to be taken from point a to b but suddenly ask me to drop them off a block away thats not the assigned destination And results of them reporting me and they open the door while the car is moving what and how do you deal with that
l had on several occasion passenger put in a destination that was shorter than where they were going saying im sorry i put in the wrong address n if l wouldn't mind going to the correct one, which is normally 6 miles farther, when l say i don't mind i look in the rear view mirror seeing them smile like they just got away with it,but what they don't know lyft adds on the fare until after drop off even if the driver gets lost.
I would say yes an take them to their new spot, drop them off then drive to their original spot in the app then mark that I dropped them there in the app.
Have you ever gotten to your pick up point and your phone rings? The person on the other end starts saying they are Uber and he will give you $$$ if you do a survey? Then they will ask you for your user name and password. STOP RIGHT THERE!!! Start the trip and drive off. Don’t hang up and DONT cancel because, you want UBER to have a record of the rider! If you cancel before you start a trip there will not be a record of it. The reason you don’t hang up the phone is to listen to the so called Uber tech cry about why you started the trip. I stated that you are not Uber and I’m going to scam YOU and get paid for this! Nobody should ask you for your username and/or password period!
I actually was looking in the comments for this specific scam because it wasn't mentioned in the video. I just recently had a driver try to explain he had someone try to pull this scam on him and was warning me about it when I said I was considering being a driver in the future.

Some lady tried one of them to me once.I picked her up during her lunch break and she put the "wrong" address and all of a sudden didn't know how to do it. Then later told uber I dropped her off at the wrong place. I reported her back and told uber I have a dashcam proving it and they gave my money back. They need to notify us instead of just refunding money from our pockets.
There’s this one scam going on where a customer will text you before reaching the pick up spot. They will say “Call me when you arrive”. So you give them a call and the person answers, “ This is Uber San Francisco. We have detected some fraudulent activity on your account so we need to verify your account.” The driver ends up giving their email and all and the scammer resets the password and has access to it. Then they will cash out your account. This usually happens on Sunday evenings since that’s the day every driver is loaded. I got these type of calls 3 times in the NYC area. Drivers be careful.
I started driving back from a Lift whole time about a month ago after not driving for them for a year and this happened to me today. they old me got $150 because I cash out every night they just caught me on my last ride. Definitely felt stupid and upset that I didn’t catch on soon enough. I doubt that Lyft is going to refund me back my money so I’m just going to charge it to the game and flush the nine hours of work down the drain.
I agree on not exceeding the number of people and being ABSOLUTE in not taking them, and NOT breaking the rules. That also sets the tone as to who's the boss in the car. If they try to get away with one thing, chances are they will try to get away with other things too.

Uber’s first quarterly report was this past week. They lost $1 billion dollars. Kind of explains why you need to do a video on 8+ scams. Do another video on 8+ scams Uber and Lyft runs on its so called employees. Oh yeah your not employees. Independent contractors. Lol
One I have seen is the friend, wife, or mom request the ride. So the person waiting is not on the profile. They will called and complain that the driver never pick them up so that get a full refund.

Always have a dash cam facing into the car so you can prove your own behavior and the behavior of your riders! Just having it there and noticeable by your riders will discourage them making false claims against you! It will also tend to discourage bad behavior on the part of your riders, if they think you might submit video of their bad behavior to Uber or Lyft. If your dash cam supports it, have it record your GPS information, including your speed. This allows you to prove that the video accurately represents the correct ride.

Yes. It's happened to me. I was driving at night in an unfamiliar area. I was low on rides and trying to get enough to make it worthwhile. The alert went off as a guy was walking by. I stopped to get him and he ran across traffic to get in the car. He smelled of alcohol and started rambling about coming from a bar and having an argument with a white girl. The ride was 3 minutes? He canceled within 30 seconds! He was like" Oh, I'm only around the corner" Even though he was bigger I was like WHATEVER! Right after I dropped him off I got multiple rides. But I was so mad with myself for not tossing him out sooner. But as a rider/driver I struggle sometimes with giving questionable riders a lift. This helps narrow down the choices.
@@anthonywhite7873 one that I know of is they will put a surge up so that you start driving/drive to a specific area and as soon as you get there they will take it away. Luckily for me I’m a male and i was raised in the hood so I don’t let them mess with me. And tell me they are gonna rate me bad but i tell them that i will let lyft know and report them to the police.
Watch out for people who have kids. Make sure they have a booster seat. It’s better to be safe than sorry. I have had a passenger that wanted to get in my vehicle with a small child without a booster seat. I had to tell her to get one or else I won’t transport them.
Yes, that's bullshit! I've just started driving for Uber (2 weeks anniversary today) and I already had 3 of those! Wish uber was asking questions before people order, you know? Like "how many people" " any children?" If so "do you have a seat booster/ car seat?" Sucks when you drive couple miles to pick up someone you have to cancel, cuz they don't meet the safety requirements. Wish uber was passing us a cancelation fee for that. Also... I'm tired of asking young people if they're 18 and wait for them to get a copy of their ID from a principal cuz they don't have theirs (not sure HOW they go to school without an ID), cuz their parent ordered a ride🫤

When I got in my house I rated him 3 stars and reported to Uber the exact intersection he blew the sign. I never knew if anything came of it with Uber so idk if he got deactivated or what, I did still pay for the ride. Was this a good way to handle that situation?
I had a few passengers today and the last one to get in was drunk and decided to take a piss on the street leaning on my back door letting it spray off the concrete so I moved forward away from the passenger and the one who ordered the ride was ticked that drove forward and he went out to his friend and came back saying i ran over his foot. His foot was nowhere near the tires because he was facing away from the vehicle. I guess I will see what happens tomorrow. Can they get away with a false report of me running over someone's foot?
I had a who mother used her daughter's name and picture on her profile so that the child could get rides. The daughter was basically the height of an adult so she kind of could have gotten away with this, we're it not for the fact that the destination was a high school. I reported her profile to Lyft. It's not necessarily a scam but it's something that could/would get drivers in trouble since we're not allowed to transport unaccompanied minors.

I’m have a very complicated question if somebody knows please share with me the answer , I’m live in California , and when I’m starting to work with Lyft about 1 year later I’m pick up a men with his sister for 2 stop ride they went to the 7/11 and back home was about 25 minutes and after I’m dropping off them the all ride information was lost, I’m contacted the support team and they don’t have any information either about the issue they trying to helping me with the rider before then. you know until now 4 1/2 years later still asking me what going on that day, how they’re doing to erase the all information in the Lyft system app. So the sad thing was lyft didn’t pay me anything for the ride 😪😪😪😪😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I have been driving for Uber for five years. I have been in all 8 of those situations. I never fail for any of them. A couple more scams to add. Scam # 9, when a driver uses pool, but when they get in the car, they say they are running late, so you do not pick up any more passengers. In that situation, politely ask them if they would like to cancel and order UberX. That will shut them up. Scam # 10, when a rider orders express pool, but refuse to walk to their pickup point. The rider would either say I am actually at this address. Uber messed up. Or the rider would say I am here, where are you. Hoping the driver, would just pick them up, at another spot. In that situation, cancel right away. Do not waste your time. Scam # 11, the rider says they accidently put in the wrong destination. All of the sudden they have problems putting in the correct destination. In that case, end the trip. Drop them off. Then get in touch with Uber support.
I’m a big black scary looking dude. Passengers think twice before crossing me. I scare them overall and they behave. It’s all about respect of who their driver is.

Totally Agree with you.
Or they should be fired from their job for doing nothing wrong and see how they like it
IF they even work they likely just leach off others.Take their sugar daddy away lol
That ll never happen UBER nor LYFT don't care about there driver...you are just a spoke in a wheel to them

Richard Owens that’s smart 😂
I like that. This way if they ask to be dropped off at a different location other than the one they gave in the app and try to report you, you can say, "Let's look at the ride and see what it shows." You wanna keep playing stupid? Riders that do stuff like this should be banned from the platform.
They Lyft app is different. Passenger gets an email. This is where the lies and false allegations come in.
My favorite scam that they love to pull is when they have a friend with them that needs to go a different destination and they “act” like they can’t find or update the destination on the app for the second stop and right when you offer to help update the destination they magically find it in 2 seconds.. this is where being a knowledgeable driver helps!
Yes when they tell you to go this way and you are like I can't. I tell them I get in trouble with uber if I don't go with their map
That part you ain't never lied. When it's more than 1 person I've stopped accepting. Ppl get extra when there's a crowd

Unbelievable how some people have no conscience.
were you able to clear that from your record with dashcam footage?

@@mustafamond9305 no, it's not.
One scam I experienced that you didn't mention was a customer put a short trip in the app to get a driver to pick them up, then they change the destination to a really long trip after the ride starts.
Is that a bad thing? Short trips suck.
Thanks
JUST CANCEL IT
Oren you have no idea what your talking about when you change your destination it charges you very high, fact check before you post negative comments

Buddy love Just purchase a real one, you can get one for $30.00

What makes me laugh is the people who, in a rural area with long pickup times, will wait about 2 minutes, then cancel and re-request to try to get rid of the Premium Pickup bonus, assuming they'll get the same driver with a shorter pickup time. Half the time they wait too long and get a cancel charge, and a good portion of the time I'll get another request before they can re-up their request, meaning that they then will get another driver with an even longer pickup time.

Uber/Lyft should make each ride non-refundable. As soon as the ride starts, no refunds, even if the rider cancels in the middle of the trip.
Well yea but sometimes drivers do weird things or get lost and a refund is justified

Tell them to rent a moving truck.

You dodged a bullet. What he was doing was getting the info to pose as you and cash out all your earnings for the week. These lowlifes are ruthless!
Let them retaliate.........Karma is a you know what................
I think the authorities should get after Lyft and Uber for how they operate and scam the consumer.
I got scammed on the one star for illegal driving 2 days ago. I'm sure it was a short trip. If 5.00 is that much for you I'll give you 5.00
I always stay in the app with navigation therefore if a ride is cancelled I don't know anywhere to go but to the curb so they can get out, period.

Good luck 😘

Drivers be careful.

damn....where you live at i'll uber or lyft there
350 rides is not a lot at all, give it some time
@@antoinetteyoung5806 I've had over 4,500 rides with just lyft. I've had my account suspended 4 or 5 times because of lies. From being under the influence, discrimination, not wearing a mask, or unsafe driving. I have 5 star rating. It's frustrating when you rely on driving as sole source of income and can't drive for days
How do you solve the conflict where the passenger keeps asking for your name and refuses to tell you theirs? I don't know what I would do in that situation and would appreciate guidance 🙏
I’m just starting- great tips! Thank
Im just about to start too... hows it going so far ?
yes, it's happen to me here in Vancouver, Canada , and ono thing happen on the apps the passenger put the right address but the ups said i have to drop the passenger to wrong address ., what kind i do for that . , thanks
Never trust and address change that is not entered by the rider in the app.
If the wrong person gets in my car, if I don't have verification from the phone number attached to the account, I'm still driving to the address that was entered through the app.
Yeah unless they change the destination in the app take them to what it says in the app
thanks friend. question, i signed up for both, but havent started driving yet. can i still get my sign on bonus ( and how do you get your cut...)
thanks for driving.. i wont ever let strangers in my car...
There is nothing a driver can do about low ratings. You give them the best ride of their life and they compliment you on your driving and still give you a 1 star
I've been there and it really sucks since it lowers your star rating by a lot but it takes forever to raise it back up.
I’m waiting for my stuff to clear so I can start driving for Uber. Thanks for the tips. I’ve watched a couple of your videos for advice. I hope I have an overall good experience with driving for Uber
That's amazing. If you're watching these videos now before you get started you'll do great. Many people don't find these videos until much later. I'm glad you are doing your research and let me know if you have any questions at all. I'm always happy to help!
I was scammed on Sunday. The person got access to my account and changed my instant deposit card and cashed out my weekly earnings. Over 5 days and Lyft haven’t responded to me. Any suggestions?
Dude these videos are super helpful! I subscribed for the give away but honestly I can’t believe I didn’t follow you before!
so great to have you here!! I’m glad we were able to get connected ✌🏻
How do I know if the writer that I have in the car canceled? Does it show in the app that the last ride that I had was $0 if they canceled the ride? Or will it show if a ride comes in as I'm driving and that Rider cancels will it show $0?
Must be a terrible work-place when you're afraid all the time. Afraid of riders scamming you or Uber deactivating you.
I have been an Uber and Lyft driver for 7 years and have all kinds of scams pulled on me but the one I hate the most is when they put something in your car and run back in the house so you're stuck with a long long long pick up
Since neither company pays a living wage or makes money from its business plans - the best bet is to not work for them
Curtis James That’s not true at all
Uber’s first quarterly report was this past week. They lost $1 billion dollars. Kind of explains why you need to do a video on 8+ scams. Do another video on 8+ scams Uber and Lyft runs on its so called employees. Oh yeah your not employees. Independent contractors. Lol
@@animeB0y01 yeah your that kinda of person that has to shit on people trying to make a buck
How do u contact lyft or uber.. if u have a problem?????
One I have seen is the friend, wife, or mom request the ride. So the person waiting is not on the profile. They will called and complain that the driver never pick them up so that get a full refund.
Danny from da Bronx that’s when you take pictures of the people. Lol
Yes! This happened to me my very first day for a $10 trip.
Yesterday my friend sighned me up for Lyft but if i have to constantly be on my guard against free loaders and trouble makers then forget it. I'm 68, retired and just looking for a easy part time job.
Ah I gotcha. It’s definitely not for everyone but I have fun with it
i'M 63 and had to take early retirement just to help pay bills. I drive for Uber to make ends meet. Been doing it for five months now and most of the time I love it! I don't let people get to me cause I really don't give a shit about them. I just want their money, so I don't put up with scammers or drunks. I will put someone out on the street in a heartbeat if they disrespect me or my car. It's that simple! Follow the rules, use common sense and you'll do fine.
Don’t know where you live. 99.9% of your fares are good people just needing your service. It’s that tiny minority. Shouldn’t let it stop U. They win. Be a winner. They’re the losers.
Thanks for the info. You've just convinced me to NEVER become a Lyft or Uber driver. Its not worth the headaches.
Please, those scams are super rare. Most people are decent honest human beings. It's the 1% we all have to deal with in all forms of our lives that we all have to watch out for.
It's really not worth it unless you're desperate to pay the bills
Ruby Chung I hope you’re right and they are rare. I’ve encountered one already and I’ve only been driving three days. It was the too many passengers scam.
@@gadgetsage Yes that's true. I love being my own boss and I work to pay my bills. No job is perfect. I'd rather handle shitty riders than a mean ass, bitchy boss that threatens your job everyday. I don't put up with anyone's shit and I let them know about it....but I try to be tactful about it. Plus my looks intimidate people, lol. I look like I could whoop your ass, lol!
Thank you for this info. Just came back to rideshare driving. Very useful.
What dash cam would you recommend? Does it forward the video or just save it?
Well well well This is too much I had all 8 and with a 4.96 rating and uber still deactivate my account this is too much . just stay happy my friends thanks for the video
I got one ride where the ride had a $16 boost and there was 2 passengers and when i got to the drop off location and drove off, the 2nd passenger requested me at a lower rate instead of adding a stop.
Number 1 happened to me said my car was dirty ummmmm I just got it detail in n out...gave me a 1 star....lol happened 2 times..other said my driving well I did over 500 rides and only got 2 complaints
Those fake ass on here are only gonna take your money and do nothing on your account, only message *zihacking__* on Instagram, he's one of the admin on here, he just got my Uber account reactivated in few minutes. They're legit.
Thank you for good advice!
Oh wow I can definitely see how that put you in a tough position
How do you know if they gave someone a refund over fake report? Will an alert show up?
Do a video on uber and lyft scams from the company!
Like what scams does the company pull?????
@@anthonywhite7873 one that I know of is they will put a surge up so that you start driving/drive to a specific area and as soon as you get there they will take it away. They should have to let you know how long the surge will be. Another one is Uber eats will send you to a restaurant late at night, and when you get there the restaurant is actually closed. You receive zero compensation for driving to the closed restaurant that they told you to go to.
Hey bro! So I just gave a ride tonight and some how this girl made it look like I cancelled her ride tonight! How did she do that? An what can I do about it ?
I have no idea how she did that. She probably cancelled it on her end. I would just contact Uber or Lyft and tell them what happened. You can contact them through the app
@@TheRideshareHub Lyft said it happened because I needed to update my app. 🤷 an they gave me a bonus so
Why would anyone try to scam an uber driver? What the hell
It's called hustling backwards lol
They would even scam their own family
Do you guys share your hotspot with passengers??? If not, what do you tell them the reason of not sharing?
I use Lyft all the time and fortunately I'm not a scammer and fortunately I've only had one bad experience out of probably a dozen rides so for that reason I'll keep taking my Lyft
Those fake ass on here are only gonna take your money and do nothing on your account, only message *zihacking__* on Instagram, he's one of the admin on here, he just got my Uber account reactivated in few minutes. They're legit.
As a lyft driver i came across this scam. Passengers requesting a short ride and asking me that the app messed up and try to get a longer ride and won’t get out of the car.
And what about "hey can we stop at Jack in the Box for some food" then your in line for 10 min waiting for the food. Very common here in California
That happened to me too, long line at McDonald's in Crystal City, VA at 3am. She at least offered to order me a meal, I just wanted fries and a hot mocha and she tipped decently too.
Yeah I had that happrn to me when I was new. But it was on the way and there weren't any lines, so I didn't care much. She offered me food too, but I declined.
Could you imagine being the Uber for a drive-by?
If a rider cancels mid ride, can you take them back to the pickup point?
Uber is basically the worst company to work for that i can think of
Lyft is just as bad.
KiD 504# how?
uber driving since 2016. i have had the cancellation, and in I stpped food deliveries because the cust will put wrong address in and the call when I got to the location. but wants it droped to there hotel.. its not worth the food hassle
I have only rode uber twice, one evening out to the bar and back home. The outbound ride was great, driver was nice car was clean and ride went smoothly. The ride back home I got some forigen guy in Prius. He was talking to someone on an earpeice in a forigen language the entire ride, never spoke to me at all not even to acknowelege i was the correct person and the destination was correct. As he get in to my neighboorhood he totally blows through a stop sign. Even a bit drunk i noticed it in fact i was pressing my imaginary brakes as we rolled through it. Not sure how easy this guy would be to communicate with I didnt say anyting and my house was in the next block.
Those fake ass on here are only gonna take your money and do nothing on your account, only message *zihacking__* on Instagram, he's one of the admin on here, he just got my Uber account reactivated in few minutes. They're legit.
Thank you so much for this useful information ℹ️
Lyft passengers 75-90% honest ppl
That's a lie.
Thanks a lot! What about cash for tips? Is it ok?
Yes you can get cash tips!
Should be a video on driver scams as well. If you need some I will let you know the ones I experienced.
My Rule #1: don't accept pools
I’m a big black scary looking dude. Passengers think twice before crossing me. I scare them overall and they behave. It’s all about respect of who their driver is.
