I don't get it with the Lyft riders in my area. Where I live I know it's going to be Lyft. If I head north of me I do Uber and get loads of tips. The Lyft riders in my experience don't tip or just leave small tips. I'm as pleasant as I can be. I just mainly rely on Uber for big tips.
My town is an Uber town by far. 10 to 1 ping ratio. Lyft rides are short and they don't tip. Lyft offers a ton more coupons and people who use coupons don't tip. A lyft rider asked the other day which service I prefer. I replied "Uber, b/c Lyft rides are shorter and they normal do not tip." He didn't tip. :/
Second day on Lyft. Three ride streak starting from 3:45 to 4:45. After my second ride, stopped for 10 minute bathroom break. Went off-line while not in car. Cost me $6 bonus. Signing up with Uber. Maybe they will treat me like a human. What do you think?
Don't drive slowly, drive the speed limit and safely, that's all that is needed. I see a lot of car for hire and ride share drivers driving super slow on freeways. 45 on a 55? Come on! If you drive the speed limit traffic flows the way it's supposed to. Ask if they don't want ac? Hell no! My AC stays on all the time, my car is black with black interior and heats up so quick inside that the moment you turn off the air it's an oven inside. wear a sweater!

So asking passengers questions to start a conversation is out of the list. Plus is not really going to give you a tip. I pick up a passenger and the ride was really quiet. So after the ride, the passenger gave me a good rating and left a comment saying "The ride was quiet, just the way I like It". -If they want music I'll do it if they want to, not tell them "can I play your music". Plus if you going to play music then you have to pull over look for thier music and hopefully your not looking for music while your driving, don't want to get into an accident. A real taxi driver don't ask people to play music. -If they want ac or heater then they will tell you. -good tip on the GPS. I always ask also -for the lights in the car. what kind of lights cause i been looking on amazon but don't know which one to buy to put in my car. I really don't want long usb wires so probally battery lights. -dressing up nice is a good tip. i have seen some youtube driver wearing tank tops, hats, durags, -I never play music, only if passenger ask great video!! im in connecticut what I do for passangers is its one-stop and they needed to go to a gas station for a quick stop before their stop, I'll just do it for them and not be telling them to put it in as 2nd stops, usually, I get a tip for doing that. I would felt bad if I told them to do a request to get a ride home.
Problem is with changing the route then what Lyft gives you, is people can dispute it as you took longer routes or longer times. I’ve done it, but it’s kinda risky
I'll try the water bottle thing again but it wasn't paying off before. I usually ask, "Is the temperature okay for you?" They thank me for asking. Your Vids are really informative, However you said in this vid that it's best to dress nice, although this is an older vid your Jan 2020 vid to where you said that it doesn't matter what you wear as you were dressed in Sweat pants. Lol Which do you really prefer now? 😄
Jarrod Porter Thanks man. I appreciate it. I put the link to the shirt in the description if you’re interested. Pasadena is a great area, you’ll enjoy driving there for sure. I’m thinking about heading out to LA in the next year or so

The 5th point you make is also going above and beyond and the drive thrus the one thing that really pisses me off as a driver is sometimes the people i am taking thru the drive thru is half the time dont even ask me if i want anything from the drive thru and yes sometimes i will say no if i already ate but still its rude and disrespectful imo
Most of this list is accurate. Especially the playlists, I have like, 10 to change it up for me. However beware of these two tips Most people who I've stopped at liquor stores/drive-thru before don't tip or buy me anything. However, those that ask me ahead of time and offered to buy me something I would do it without question and still usuallyend up with a tip as well as free food/drink. Water bottles are not a good idea because most people that touch them either barely drink any and leave it in your car or drink it all and leave it in your car. On busy nights its not a good idea to have all these things crowding up the back of your car. Especially when you're getting ride after ride. Solid list otherwise
Lyft adds the tip to the fair amount then deduct the third,,,, please rider do not tip me out besides it’s $0.68 per mile There’s no money driving for Uber and lyft so basically you re working over time for not even minimum wage
Very fine people on both sides😁 sorry, I can’t help noticing your RUclips name.😁 Your comment may seem funny, but you made a brilliant point! Yesterday was my first time as Lyft driver, and I suspected that my last passenger was running away from the police 👮🏾♀️

*How the heck are we Lyft drivers suppose to get In & Out Car Washes once a week when these stupid places charge a dang $30 freaking bucks?? That would cost me $120 per month.* = - o And I CAN'T wash my car myself when I have *moderate Cerebral Palsy* who drives LYFT with "hand-controls." =(
I never understood with the whole playing music thing. I never play music on my rides. Not enough people give a shit to even bother since most people are just glued to their phones the whole time. Id rather put more focus on the other tips from this video.
Ok, let’s just ask them to drive and I seat in the back. My friend way too many things, we are not machines. I have a 4.93 score and Diamond. Tell me now what I’m doing wrong. Give my passengers my personal info?? Are you crazy?? Sorry I don’t agree with many of your tips.
You have good tip but let me give you one tip . Stop starting your video with inviting people to use your thing so you can make money when they sign up for the bonus in the long run it's only affecting you like here in Seattle way too many drivers I wish half of them would just fall off the Earth because it's so nice when there's less drivers means you have more surge price that means more money if somebody is a beginner driver they can go to hell if they're doing it part-time if they are full-time driver I have no problem helping them out the part-time driver is taking money out of my pocket to so how's about that tip good thing you're not living in Seattle cuz it's too flooded with Lyft and Uber drivers it was nice when it was snowing up here when you get make big money in 2 weeks of snow that just goes to show you that there's too many drivers
@Niki Young You're rude. If that were the case, he'd make a short video and put little effort into it. Dylan makes helpful, interesting, well-made videos.

Jarrod Porter Thanks man. I appreciate it. I put the link to the shirt in the description if you’re interested. Pasadena is a great area, you’ll enjoy driving there for sure. I’m thinking about heading out to LA in the next year or so
@@TheRideshareHub You're welcome man. Appreciate it. I know the area fairly well. What do you plan to work on in LA when you come? When I saw your the video earlier, I thought you were up north and then i saw you mention Orange county. OC is a nice area too
Yeah i travel a bit around so I’m kind of everywhere at the moment but i want to move to LA and maybe buy a house by the beach
@@TheRideshareHub Very nice. That's cool man. I pray you get a good deal. Where can I send you a private message at
Hit me up on Instagram @ridesharehub
Great suggestions my dawg.
However beware of these two tips
Most people who I've stopped at liquor stores/drive-thru before don't tip or buy me anything.
Good tips. I have been driving for a few years now.
awesome!!
Lyft adds the tip to the fair amount then deduct the third,,,, please rider do not tip me out besides it’s $0.68 per mile
There’s no money driving for Uber and lyft so basically you re working over time for not even minimum wage
I would like my Lyft app to work with Apple CarPlay using MAPS...I have an Equinox. I totally enjoy being a Lyft driver👍awesome video.
That's awesome man! Lyft is a great platform to make extra money while having fun.
"they're both accelerations" this guy must be an engineer
Yeah, I caught that too.
Um, accelerate to go faster, and decelerate to slow down. There we go.
I have some tips on my channel. Am going for the drive less earn more approach.
Amazing!!
@@TheRideshareHub thank you. Love the channel.
Great knowledge Dylan.
This tips work well cool vid !!!
Sorry, I don’t give snacks or waters . They used to throw the bottles in the car .
This actually helped me a lot
Lyf should pay good to be happy because all these things I know how to do
Maybe they are running from the police; nice video bro I use some of these tips!
Awesome! THANK YOU!
Very fine people on both sides😁 sorry, I can’t help noticing your RUclips name.😁
Your comment may seem funny, but you made a brilliant point! Yesterday was my first time as Lyft driver, and I suspected that my last passenger was running away from the police 👮🏾♀️
My name is Calvin i drive for lyft i play r&b im from Indianapolis Indiana
Thanks I do 99% of all this but I dont know New Jersey pll just dont tip.out of 10 rides you might get 1 tip.
Oh wow yeah that’s pretty low. At least half of riders tip in cali
they tip even more when i give a Hjob hahahha
" be good looking" Funny
I drive for lyft I'm new to it
That’s awesome William! Welcome :)
Thank and my wife work for them to
that’s awesome! hope you both can stick around :)
Rideshare hub has soooooo many tips for new drivers, you probably won't see every video. I like the format and will do something similar. I feel like I could hang out with Dylan and his people.
Don't expect a studio production. Just absorb the advice. I guarantee you will find something valuable.
*How the heck are we Lyft drivers suppose to get In & Out Car Washes
once a week when these stupid places charge a dang $30 freaking bucks??
That would cost me $120 per month.* = - o
And I CAN'T wash my car myself when I have *moderate Cerebral Palsy* who drives LYFT with "hand-controls." =(
Bro im glad these things work for you really i am but ive done all these things and 9 out of 10 the customer does not tip at all .
where do u drive?
@@TheRideshareHub i drive in south carolina . Why
@@gustanchezshambrez6171 just wondering. ppl in california tip a lot
@@TheRideshareHub Your No Doubt Getting A Ton More Rides In Cali Im Sure
@@gustanchezshambrez6171 It's nonstop here
You the man!
i just started driving 4 lyft in Denver :)
Awesome!! Welcome 🙏
Not a sure tip ..especially the younger passengers 18-23 y/o s
I don't make any more tips when I am dressed up so I'm not so sure about that one.
I never understood with the whole playing music thing. I never play music on my rides. Not enough people give a shit to even bother since most people are just glued to their phones the whole time. Id rather put more focus on the other tips from this video.
That’s a great strategy david!!
Bro im not shaving off my beard that is absurd . Why would i shave off my beard when a Mans Beard Is His Badge Of Manly Dignity .
hahhahaha it will grow bruh
@@TheRideshareHub then let your beard grow bro
Does you tube give you credit for thumbs down or for bad comments/reviews? Even if they don't like it, they were traffic to your channel.
Yeah it gets traffic
@Niki Young I have crappy videos now, I'm just getting advice from RUclipsrs. I wasn't trying to make fun of him.
Mo money mo money mo money🤑
Will driving my Ferrari increase my customer satisfaction rating?
Awesome tips 🙂
Thank you Chelsea! :)

I want that shirt

Did you really add “2020” to a video from 2 years ago? My dude...
You are so wrong about this. It's random.
Care to expand?
Nice
Thank you Nahtu! :)
Vanilaaeee LOL
😊
I'm here from Instagram @theofficialmerkavelli
@Niki Young
You're rude. If that were the case, he'd make a short video and put little effort into it. Dylan makes helpful, interesting, well-made videos.
Ive recieved many more great reviews from my riders than tips from these same riders
awesome
no offence you don't know what youre talking about people leave me big tips for a wonderful car with tv and massage
