From my experience, if client ask you to extend the target destination, like wait for them and bring them back, request they update their destination, otherwise you risk that later the client will report you for being overcharged and you will be the one being blamed for your good will! Happen to me. Client reported that I did not end the trip at the destination, when it was her request! And I ended with lower rating and my earning for the trip was taken away! But since I never thought someone could scam me like this, I did not ask her to update the location and then I did not have any proof, when the client lied in order to get $ back and have a free ride!

I’ve been driving for 3 years and I endorse every tip presented here. Very good advice. Two minor issues: 1. After dropping someone off there are times when you’ll know that you’re never going to get a ride where you are and have to relocate. Get to know your hot and cold spots. 2. If you only drive for the money, get another gig. Like any job, you have to like or at least tolerate it or you’ll stink at it. I need my music. I’ll turn it down but don’t ask me to turn it off. Keep your tip, give me a bad review. I don’t care. (I’ve never gotten anything but 5 stars).

Rental car for uber / lyft through their program is a bad idea if you want to make money. I wrecked my Escalade in 2017 and was looking for another vehicle. In the meantime, I got hooked up with the Uber rental car program through Hertz, and got a really nice 2016 Dodge charger to drive around. It cost me about $250 / week. I did just enough Uber with the car to pay for the rental fees and then stopped. I did this and kept the car for 3 months while I was saving for a down payment / looking for another vehicle. It was great and it was kind of like driving a car for free for 3 months. And the rental came with insurance already in the price. But every 28 days you had to go back into the Hertz office and re-sign a rental contract (they are only good for 28 days). But other than that, it worked out great. I would not recommend it though if you are just getting one to try and make some money. You have to work off the $200-$250 / week rental fee before you even make a dime. If your ok with that, than go for it. It's not a bad program.
Thank you so much for these tips. I've been driving Uber for approx. 9 months and I like it. I've found myself guilty with a few of the topics you discussed, simply because of being relatively new, and also just ignorant of a few facts. I really appreciate the enlightenment.
I'm 68 and drove for Uber a few years ago did 625 trips. They are still the worst company I ever worked for. Been with lift for years now and they are great.
I have been driving for Uber Lyft for more than a year and one of my positive takes that most drivers can agree on is the convenience you can get paid direct deposit on your bank account on the same day as your chosen option if you wanted to up to 5 times. The downside which when you breakdown the numbers are some says the pay after all expenses. Uber Lyft is great only for those drivers have financial needs to supplement their finances. However, like Dustin is driving said it’s really designed to be a part time gig whether we have a full time job or not.
This is great. I am leaving Hallcon behind and one of my passengers was a gentleman who's sister makes really good money with Uber and he told me about these videos. I heard your suggestion to drive for Lyft too and I realized, if I have the car I can do all of it. Great suggestion. Too bad I wont see that crewman again I'd buy him lunch for his great suggestion to watch these videos.
We not supposed to pick up the kids even with the parents putting them in the car! Everybody does this they would probly give me negative reviews if I put my foot down! Wow
Thanks for the great advice! Unfortunately, drinking coffee, energy drinks, or anything for that matter doesn’t work out so well for me. It makes have to use the bathroom, which is especially bad if I’m trying to get a bonus streak. I guess you men have things easier in this regard as you can always resort to the “bottle trick” whereas this isn’t an option for us ladies
@ Christine King look it up, they have portable urinals for ladies too. Or you could look into a catheter system, and keep a pinch off bladder under the driver's seat. Just pray it never leaks or pops, or make sure you empty the catch bottle at your earliest convenience.
I follow a lot of this guys videos I'm an owner operator truck driver with over 2 million safe miles! The truck industry today is a great way to make a quarter of a million dollars a year easy, but the problem is there's a reason why there's a shortage of 400,000 drivers it's a tough job and not everyone can do it I've been doing it for a long time and I used to be a taxi driver back in the day in Philadelphia and I recently met up with another owner operator truck driver who is doing Uber and Lyft it's doing well I will say the number one thing is to do your research and watch guys like this guy he has some great advice some of the advice he has is just playing common sense but we all know there's a lot of people out there that don't have that nowadays LOL.
I noticed in the morning there are Walmart employees getting off from third shift and the rides are pretty good, so folks don’t under estimate the Walmart pickups
@@CelestialChef90 Oh let me clarify that, I pick up Walmart employees in the early morning hours and those are usually good because most employees live 10-20 miles away, but regular rides Nope 3 miles and a trunk full of groceries, typically not worth your time
I have been an Uber driver for 6.5 years and I accommodate all my passengers in one way or another. I’m respectful and caring but, try not to get suckered in because it’s easy to do. Thank you for your tips. Very helpful!❤
Has everything been smooth for the 6+ years? How’s your car? I’m looking for the positive feedback about rideshare. All I keep seeing and hearing about is the negativity.
I do this Full time: and Yes I have a rental, * As for keeping your doors locked at all times: I found that out the hard way when someone just jumped in and offered cash to take them to where they needed to go..... Ugg * Having the correct passenger - I did a pickup at the Metro here in my area and a young girl got in and I never asked her for her name before driving off, found out 2 blocks down the road she was not my pickup so since it was raining I drove back to the starting point and had her wait in the car until her Lyft showed up, Once they did then my Pax got in and she went to the other Lyft. * Blasting Music: I pulled at a stop light yesterday right next to a Uber driver with a Pax in the back of their car the music was "Blasting" it really didn't look like the Pax was even enjoining the music at all and the Driver looked as if he was even sleeping during the wait at the stop light - I always play "Flashback" music it does offer a variety for them to listen to plus I keep it low to where we are all able to know music is playing but without developing a headache. Plus I always ask if there is a special radio station they would like to listen to. * AC vers Heat - I always ask them if they are needed. * Watching Uber/Lyft video's as a source to better yourself as a driver - Started this "Before" driving for Lyft and still do it regularly to see what kind of crap pax may be doing during certain rides. * I'll leave you a Tip on the App - Lol don't count on it! I have heard this many times and never received the tip for anyone that states they will although I do get quite a few tips daily if they talk about doing it then chances are they won't. * Question: at what age does the "KID" have to be before a driver should take them? also at what age does the Child have to be before you take them without a car seat? - I do get them from time to time but to me 1/2 the time they look a little to big for a booster or car seat (My Opinion). Thanks for taking the time to view and for your answers.
Mostly correct but disagree with mistakes 11 and 27.When you driving in a big city and your rider go outside area you have to turn off your app and return to city because next trip could be far away.I use to work in a taxi business for 22 years and my experience says 80% customers after long flights asking OPEN window in a car.Anyway, thank you for your views in ride-share business.🙏
I just started driving for uber friday, I do "drive around for rides" but that is mostly to get away from a city I don't want to drive in haha had a very long trip today 72 miles passenger slept most of the ride which was perfect haha
@@barbaralambert1002 hmm well, were these people are going 1 mile down the road and I'm earning $4/trip down there I'd rather speed back up to the city above where they are not going 1 mile away and are just too lazy to walk. thanks though.
It's wise to avoid all possible liability situations. You might have good intentions in assisting people but if something goes wrong you are the first person they will be ready to sue or shut down.
Great content bro! And you are spot on about learning from other drivers online! I learned a lot of these the hard way but your video helps to remember some and it’s funny we all experience a lot of these same things lol. Keep it up
I’ve been an Uber driver for 10 years with over 10,000 trips!! A lot of what you say is correct but you have to let people know where you drive. It’s not the same every where. I’m a NYC Uber driver and my experience is slightly different
The biggest mistake doing rideshare is doing ridesharing. Been there and did it. Still to this day Uber is the worst company I ever worked for. And in 67 yrs of age.
Another scam they try is once they are in the car getting you to make an additional (quick stop) without putting it in the app. I had to put a lady out for that, and learned if the additional stop is not in the app when we begin the trip I'm taking them to the original destination period.
18:03 this is one of the compliments that I get wayyyyyyy to often from the passengers (specially here in Miami), I play super low volume the music and I pick basically Lo-Fi music, is not even that Can be annoying, you don’t know the mood of the passenger that day, or what’s going thru in that moment so is kind of show respect also!
I'm not an Uber or Lyft driver but I still enjoy your videos. One suggestion would be to break this content into 6 different videos no more than 5 minutes long. I don't have the patience to watch 25 minutes at one time. It helps you monetize you channel by offering 6 shorter videos VS one long video and you could potentially get more like from all channel surfers. Thanks for the content.
I take issue with #6 buying a car to drive for rideshare. When I wanted to drive for Doordash, UberEats, and Grubhub, I thought the same way: get a car and deliver food; however, in my area, I quickly learned that. Google Maps takes me through the boondocks to get to a new subdivision, and it's dark with nothing but trees and cornfields. I was terrified. That's when I realized I needed a car that wouldn't leave me stranded. That's when I bought a new car with good gas mileage and low maintenance. I'm not worried about trading this car in because when I do, or if I do, it is still a good used car. I never worry about mileage because this is why I got the car. It is a work car to make money.
I agree with all of these except #11 (parking and waiting for a ride). The tax deduction is 65.5 cents per mile. Take a moment and calculate the money earned per mile from simply driving vs fuel expenses. You will find that you actually make money just from driving even with nobody in the car. It is foolish to ever just sit.
Definitely words to live by.... I've been doing this full time for about a year now and learned most of this stuff the hard way. Keep the vids coming, maybe there are a few more things I can learn... I signed up for the play octopus tablet but they aren't in my area yet (Orlando). I really want that thing or something Similar.
@@ErikHerrera18 .... I used to make at least $200 a day for about 10 hours... usually more. For UberX. Since the pandemic I stopped UberX (no rides) and been just doing Uber Eats. I dont make as much doing Uber Eats. Maybe avg. abou $150.
Confirmation ... I'm a good driver. I don't keep snacks or water for passengers though. and when I first started driving, I kept my trunk full. I learned pretty quick that was not a good idea. Thank you.
One of my favorite beaches in the world, Calafia in san Clemente. I used to go there almost every day for years. My friends and I would body board and clime the cliffs in the background. I recognize it right away.
If possible I declined rides where people need assistance or have wheelchairs. Once I picked up a 500+ lb woman in a wheelchair from the hospital. She could not stand up or walk and the hospital staff left her abandoned on the street. I was not going to attempt to help her into the car. Fortunately for her a nice man on the street helped her into the car. Before we pulled off I asked her if she had someone at home to help her get out of the car and she said yes but when we got there no one came out to help her so I ended up sitting there wasting time and money while she was on the phone trying to reach somebody... because I was certainly not going to put myself at risk by assisting her. Finally she reached someone to help her. I try to avoid these situations if possible but sometimes you have no way of knowing until you get there. But you can still decline the ride once you get there if that's what you decide to do. It might sound bad but what are you going to do if she falls and injuries herself or you? Now you have major liability issues when the whole thing could have been avoided. These type passengers do not need Uber or Lyft they need a special needs ride service.
True, don't break the law....you can be in real trouble if your Uber ride is on law enforcing or you can get reported for any moving violation, be safe.
A question here... what if people travel with animals? Like let's say a big dog? Like a support animal. Do you carry a blanket, so they can lay on it on a back seat? Or??? I'm about to start driving and this is something I keep thinking about. Thank you.
Question: how do you know a passenger is paying the correct fare rate? I had a woman the other day that paid $5 but had 4 passengers. Seemed kinda cheap to me...
Loved the ones about minors and child car seats, I will not take either however Uber will not reimburse us for the non pick up. It should be equivalent to a rider No Show .
I've been getting a lot of people lately who live in huge apartment complexes or condo complexes and they enter the address for you to pick them up that's at the gate but they really want you to drive all around to pick them up at their building. Costing extra time and money what do you recommend for that
The best advice you have given to Drivers 🙏👍. Make a video, please, about passengers as well. Some of the passengers are so difficult to deal with they have no respect and no manners at all.
We are in Pandemia we can't touch another person things. Also I don't like help people with the Walmart buy. Forget it ! I will like to avoid all Walmarts !
The biggest issue driver's have to deal with is the fact that they need an entirely different mindset. There's a vast difference between one being an employee and one being self employed. Every bussiness regardless of one working for it or owning it has local, state and federal rule's, regulation's in additiong to laws governing there existence. If and when you make available anything for sale to your customer's. Though you may have paid tax on it when you purchased it, your obligated to add various local and sales tax again when you sell it. Not to mentioned should a customer be harmed in any way shape or form from such a sale, such as getting sick. You are subject to the expense of defending your self. And you will be on the hook for the taxs of any and all profit's from the sale. Unless you are extremely adapt to the fileing of taxes as a bussness vs an empolyee. Do not assume various things are deductable or non-deductable. Engaging the service's of a qualified tax preparer regardless of the expense, is fully deductable. So, why take the chance!
Sleep is very important and taking a break and getting out and walking around doing a little bit of exercise outdoors or go to the gym but sometimes I don't even know I'm sleepy, and I was told to take the heat and take it off my face and put it you know towards the feet. But when I know I'm tired I come off the road and go to all night McDonald's or Royal farms because they're 24 hours in Wawa
I keep my ride clean, inside and out. My windows must stay clear at all times. I keep a great fragrance and get complimented on it almost every trip. I spray Lysol before I start and after every passenger exits. I used to keep a candy container but I hadn’t done it in a while. My radio station is on Sunny 99.1 or Majic 102 at a low volume. I had 1 passenger report I was listening to vulgar music. 🙄 That’s impossible because those stations never ever play anything of the sort. It messed up my straight 5 star streak but I knew exactly which passenger made that up. She wanted me to stop at a store and I let her know that if it isn’t in the app I don’t make extra stops. I don’t know why they get mad when you don’t stop at places that isn’t included in their trip. It’s all good, though. I’m at Uber Pro status. I’ve reached other levels but they start over.
Usually clean compact cars are full-time drivers. Consider to tip them reasonably as they may need the extra money for enjoying life with families. Cars with some interior dirt (especially of exterior colors other than black, white, silver) may be drivers doing commutes; usually much fewer riders have been in the cars so that it is safer during Covid-19. So, unless you are with very important people, don't mind acceptable dirty cars.
Absolutely! I mean I have consideration if someone is cold, or ask to adjust the windows. However, NOBODY WANTS TO MENTION HOW MANY RIDERS STINK!!! No wonder some cars stink!! I work hard and invest in techniques to keep my car clean (and receive compliments). But this can be a hazard for drivers because it’s distracting (when they are trying to focus), the driver could pass out from the Oder with no air circulation, random headaches (due to unbearable oders), and the oders can be so severe that masks and spray is only a little help! In my opinion, riders should be aware of their hygiene! Even school teachers let kids/teens know, or on certain jobs! So, therefore, it can’t be a bad thing to address. 😷🥰😉👍
Always keep your doors locked. People will try to steal rides, people get carjacked, etc. Especially if I'm in an area that isn't the safest, I keep the doors locked and the car in drive. Once someone is in the car, it is hard to get them out and if it is the wrong person or people...you're in a lot of trouble. I did rideshare part-time while I worked my old job, for about 2 years. I went full time because I figured out how to do it and I was confident I'd make the money. Never rent a car for rideshare, especially if you're only doing it part-time.
@@exaudi33 Yeah, except they don't always. There have been a few carjackings of women and older women in Chicago. Even when people know they should they get complacent.
Well in the state of Arizona you do not have to put a mask on if you have been vacanated 98 percent of my customers do not carry a mask an it's hard not to denie the ride I'll loose alot of money an most my riders tell me not to put on a mask we are self employed but most the time I do have my mask on my face.
On my 3rd day today driving for Uber part time and a lot of these just seem like common sense. What is wrong with some people. Great video! Much appreciated. Edit: I did make the trunk mistake though... My golf clubs and bags with my own stuff were taking up a lot of room. Completely apologized to them and started pushing everything as far back in to my Impala's HUGE trunk. Helped them with their bags too. Problem was rectified right after that.
Hi. Im new uber driver too. Yesterday i got warning from uber about "verbally abusing rider". I didn't abuse anyone. Im very polite with everyone. Is it normal to get this warnings? How many i can get before i get deactivated?
And remember never talk politics, people will slam you just for the wrong opinion. Some passengers look for anything to lower a rating. Even just because you have a high rating.
I recently started driving Uber X part time and I’ve had a few rides where the passenger had someone with them and I see no rules on additional passengers does everyone need to pay for the ride? I feel like I’m being taken advantage of please share to concrete rules for this I’m in Florida..
I doubt about additional charge per passenger BUT this past weekend for the first time i had uber send me a notification asking how many riders were in my car...must be something new
Several passengers can ride to one destination on one fare... But if they ask you to make additional stops they have to put it in the app so you will get paid for each stop.
I was fired from my last job of 20 yrs and started immediately making almost the same i was making with less stress (minus false complaints) those really upset me...I hope rideshare keeps track of these false claims?
I do 2 12 hour shifts (Friday and Saturday). Sunday I do a 6-7 hour run but never finish later than 8pm. Monday Tuesday and Thursday I do split shift. 4 hours in the morning and 5 at night. Split shift time goes really quickly which I like. I make around 2500 but the split shifts set the weekend up and your not tired as I can have a nap in between.

Ladies can use a bucket in a pinch.
Me too ...if I just didn't need to pee 😐
That's grass we do not pee in a bottle
@ Christine King look it up, they have portable urinals for ladies too. Or you could look into a catheter system, and keep a pinch off bladder under the driver's seat. Just pray it never leaks or pops, or make sure you empty the catch bottle at your earliest convenience.
You can use cat litter ha ha
Whenever I start driving again, I always watch the videos on RUclips to get up to speed with the latest...
I noticed in the morning there are Walmart employees getting off from third shift and the rides are pretty good, so folks don’t under estimate the Walmart pickups
I’ve never been tipped by anyone I picked up from Walmart as of yet
@@CelestialChef90 Oh let me clarify that, I pick up Walmart employees in the early morning hours and those are usually good because most employees live 10-20 miles away, but regular rides Nope 3 miles and a trunk full of groceries, typically not worth your time
95% of that video is just telling you to be a professional, and understand that you're in a customer service industry in your serving the public.
I do this Full time: and Yes I have a rental,
* As for keeping your doors locked at all times: I found that out the hard way when someone just jumped in and offered cash to take them to where they needed to go..... Ugg
* Having the correct passenger - I did a pickup at the Metro here in my area and a young girl got in and I never asked her for her name before driving off, found out 2 blocks down the road she was not my pickup so since it was raining I drove back to the starting point and had her wait in the car until her Lyft showed up, Once they did then my Pax got in and she went to the other Lyft.
Car seat laws vary by state. Usually, it’s more weight and height than age that determines
Here in Hawaii, its 7yo or 70lbs to need a car seat or booster. And solo passengers need to be 18yo.
All great stuff. I’m new. 16 rides so far. This helped me immediately!
I just started driving for uber friday, I do "drive around for rides" but that is mostly to get away from a city I don't want to drive in haha
had a very long trip today 72 miles passenger slept most of the ride which was perfect haha
Wasting gas plus you could get a ride back to the city
I don’t think I would rent Uber car because expensive to rent depends how much you make every day
18:03 this is one of the compliments that I get wayyyyyyy to often from the passengers (specially here in Miami), I play super low volume the music and I pick basically Lo-Fi music, is not even that Can be annoying, you don’t know the mood of the passenger that day, or what’s going thru in that moment so is kind of show respect also!
Super helpful!
Thank you for the great 30 tips on being an safe and successful Uber driver 🙂
A safe not an safe
That’s soo true !!!
Great tips! Im a new driver and LOVE IT. TIP 22 had me weak though lol so true lol
I used to instacart, but my insurance company doesn't cover side gigs and those that do, it's $1600 for 6 months!. I'm in CA btw
I agree with all of these except #11 (parking and waiting for a ride). The tax deduction is 65.5 cents per mile. Take a moment and calculate the money earned per mile from simply driving vs fuel expenses. You will find that you actually make money just from driving even with nobody in the car. It is foolish to ever just sit.
the rest, exercise and enough sleep point ought to be one of the first, most important points
I deliver Uber eats and was considering doing the driver but it sounds like more of a pain
How much do you making doing this full time?
@@ErikHerrera18 .... I used to make at least $200 a day for about 10 hours... usually more. For UberX. Since the pandemic I stopped UberX (no rides) and been just doing Uber Eats. I dont make as much doing Uber Eats. Maybe avg. abou $150.
thank you thankyou I aprecciate your time to explain in details those mistakes.
It’s an amazing beach!! So cool that someone recognized it :)
I'm an Uber new driver now! I'm excited and thank you for your video tips.
# 15 I am a driver and I think a passenger entering my car is the one that should say hi and then driver will be polite as well
True, don't break the law....you can be in real trouble if your Uber ride is on law enforcing or you can get reported for any moving violation, be safe.
I help with bags without being asked because the quicker I am done with them the quicker I can get another ride.
Excellent information done with a positive attitude.
A question here... what if people travel with animals? Like let's say a big dog? Like a support animal. Do you carry a blanket, so they can lay on it on a back seat? Or??? I'm about to start driving and this is something I keep thinking about. Thank you.
Thanks a lot Dillan for sharing this, Great video, Great content, All the best💯👌✌️🙏
You made me feel like I was born to do this! Ty so much God bless you
Thanks, I've been doing Uber for 2 weeks now, I'm also a rider, so I understand your list 💯 , I'll also be starting Lyft this week
Great video man! Just did the referal steps. Keep up the good work!
The GTA kinda vibe in the background is awesome.
Question: how do you know a passenger is paying the correct fare rate? I had a woman the other day that paid $5 but had 4 passengers. Seemed kinda cheap to me...
Thanks, great tips. I have heard people say to turn of voice prompted driving directions - do you have an opinion on this?
Excellent video. Thank you.
Costing extra time and money what do you recommend for that
I would go to the pickup location and wait until the required time is up and then cancel the ride as a no show.
I get umbrelas from the dollar store
The best advice you have given to Drivers 🙏👍.
Make a video, please, about passengers as well. Some of the passengers are so difficult to deal with they have no respect and no manners at all.
I always ask if the music is too loud, most people tell me they can't hear it, and that I should turn it up.
I love this guy, great advice with issues I have already encountered...
We are in Pandemia we can't touch another person things. Also I don't like help people with the Walmart buy. Forget it ! I will like to avoid all Walmarts !
2:31 camera person is so me getting destracted by the sunset 😂❤
Uber's destination filter has not worked all year for me!!!
Great stuff! Thanks for taking the time to share.
I’m about to start with Ride sharing, thanks so much for your information to us newbies
Been ubering a couple of months. Good advice, thanks!
I just subscribed, these helpful hints are amazing for a new driver like myself. KUDOS!
AWESOME THANK YOU!
THANKS FOR THE REFERRAL
Beautiful area and great advice! Yes, please clean your car when doing Uber
About the windows down; Lyft tells its drivers, ''roll your windows down "". ( i think it started during the pandemic)
I'm shocked by how many rides I have to cancel because of no car seats. Several people have gotten very angry with me.
Tried using destination filter and when I picked the person up their destination took me 15 min back the way I came from. Total garbage system.
Women know this automatically.
@@exaudi33 Yeah, except they don't always. There have been a few carjackings of women and older women in Chicago. Even when people know they should they get complacent.
Well in the state of Arizona you do not have to put a mask on if you have been vacanated 98 percent of my customers do not carry a mask an it's hard not to denie the ride I'll
loose alot of money an most my riders tell me not to put on a mask we are self employed but most the time I do have my mask on my face.
Here in Hawaii they are more Draconian. You would get reported in a second if you don't have your mask on. I love Arizona.
I just wonder it is legal to have dash camera on board for video and radio recording in California?
With unaccompanied minors if they're like over 15 16 years old they pretty much look like adults it's really hard to tell
@@PerformanceY wow how did that work out
If i use uber rental can i drive for lyft as well
I recently started driving Uber X part time and I’ve had a few rides where the passenger had someone with them and I see no rules on additional passengers does everyone need to pay for the ride? I feel like I’m being taken advantage of please share to concrete rules for this I’m in Florida..
I doubt about additional charge per passenger BUT this past weekend for the first time i had uber send me a notification asking how many riders were in my car...must be something new
Several passengers can ride to one destination on one fare... But if they ask you to make additional stops they have to put it in the app so you will get paid for each stop.
Great information! Thank You!
The biggest mistake is doing rideshare as a full time gig.
I was fired from my last job of 20 yrs and started immediately making almost the same i was making with less stress (minus false complaints) those really upset me...I hope rideshare keeps track of these false claims?
I retired 4 years ago, and even during the peak of covid I'm pulling in $2 to $2.5k a week.
@@grantmcaskell4568 What hours do you work on Friday and Saturday, and what hours do you work on your split shift days in the morning and night?
Thanks for letting me know that Uber can apply the referral code again. My husband just signed up and did not do any rides. Can you let me know what is your code and if he could apply it in Texas?
Cool that you provided every day examples
I like the back drop bro! Cool spot 🤙
Any tips about the riders who make false allegations in order just to be comped by Uber in recompense because they didn't like the surge?
