- One year ago this week, me and my friends played a 15 min set of metal! Flying Whales by Gojira was one of the songs in our set. We had a lot of fun putting this song together and preforming this cover. I really hope you guys enjoy this cover!

I just wanna vibe and get the cobwebs outta my brain, don’t care for having next techneek or look cool, I just wanna make chuggin noises with my fuzzes and octave pedals and play my acoustic and cry until I go to sleep

Reminds me of the time when in our school one band played YYZ by Rush in front of the whole school. Many were confused about that kind of music
I actually used yyz as one of the songs to audition with these guys! Most of us are HUGE rush fans 😂 but that was the main reason why we skipped out the vocals! No need to scare everyone LOL
We also thought that the vocals would be very hard to cover well and didn't want to ruin the performance completely by doing botched vocals.....

The world needs to be taught about Gojira music. It is an art. Heavy metal art. I was skeptical about you being able to play it, but it was great! Great drums, bass and guitars.

Flying Whales is a song by Gojira that makes up the majority of the video, and its not a bad rendition of it, I must say😁. The first thing you hear though, is indeed Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth), by Cliff Burton of Metallica.
I've been a Gojira fan for over 2 decades (I'm 63 now)& I think your choice to play Flying Whales (at a school concert) was friggen great. Nice job!

Reminds me of when my friends and I played Slayer - Raining Blood as part of a music assessment where we had to set up the sound system and get all the levels right etc... We were planning on playing a different song and were just playing Raining Blood as a rehearsal and our teacher told us to play that instead 😂 it was awesome! This high school was very much a non-metal-friendly school but we actually got a standing ovation from them all (definitely did not expect that) keep killing it fellas!
Y'all are very good like for real, but the bassist and the drummer are going PLACES. We'll definitely hear more from them in the future I'm sure, especially the drummer, he's already almost at a pro level

I was in High School not tooo long ago. But I imagined but you guys lived it. Playing friggin Gojira in front of your school is must have been coool.
The bass player is on another level...he really add that 80s metal thing into Gojira . The whole band is great ...tight and very close ..but those days , it's not common whit a bass player, that takes so much space in metal. Anasteshia/ Pulling Teeth as an intro , that is brilliant 🤘🤘🤘

Just turned 55, starting playing metal drums in 1983. This makes me so happy to see !. Went to a local club show when Gojira opened for LOG. . Never been more blown away by any band that I had zero knowledge of. Mario !!!!

I did some light touring in my younger days as the bass player for a couple of metal bands and I was always prepared to rip out Anesthesia when a guitarist inevitably had to change a broken string in the middle of a set. Always had that Boss HM-2 and a wah in my fx chain ready to go just in case and they sure as hell got plenty of use!

not a huge fane of gojira, but this cover to me is phenomenal, the live performance too. The instruments are mixed so well, and the timing is almost perfect! these guys kick ass definetly!

Im 44 years of age and love it fellas. The thing about being in a band. Its not a group. Its a bond of ideas. Grow together and you will get somewhere. Have closed practices and on certain days after you master a few songs let people hang out and listen. Thats how the word gets out. Keep going dudes!❤❤❤❤👊👊👊👊
