They're just getting started so they don't have a ton of things posted. But they've heard your positive feedback loud and clear and will be doing a lot more this summer...stay tuned!

A lot of folks have asked for MORE DRUMS. Here's a new recording on my son's channel: ruclips.net/video/ZQXGJfw2tK8/видео.htmlsi=52LzSG6CQ6FHu89s
Thanks again to everyone viewing and posting positive comments - and I include in that any constructive critiques or feedback...all of that is welcome. You guys are restoring my hope for humanity!
This was excellent. Is there more context to this performance? Was it indeed a high school talent show or similar? The only timing issues I heard were most likely related to the lack of a decent mic/monitor setup. I know when I played in school events, it was a lot of work to get any decent sound and trust someone to make sure mics were on. That was mainly with simple songs.
It takes a lot of talent to pull off something this complex with what looks like minimal audio support…and to keep going and get back in sync with each other without stopping.
@@kylefolger This was a quarterly performance night at a public high school for students enrolled in the guitar class. It's not a competition. These guys have done this a few times now (you'll find more of their performances on my channel). The support staff is very limited and there's really no sound engineering...students just walk onto the stage, plug in, and start playing. Thanks for the positive response and feedback. These guys only rehearsed about 4-5 times on this song, which explains the handful of hiccups they had during the performance....I'm actually shocked they did as well as they did with so few practice sessions together.
Even more impressive! Each one put a ton of time to learn their parts to make this so on point and perfected!
The kids are excellent . I’m a 53 year old woman who has played drums since 8yrs old. Your son is technical and to sustain all the way through . I’m a huge Tool Fan. Are you guys in Cleveland? He's incredible! He's got a great road ahead of him if he keeps it up!
I watched Mike Potnroy, the drummer for Dream Theater (and one of the best drummers in the world) struggle with this song and the fact that your brother was able to rock this, shows he's got chops.

The fact that he played that speaks volumes. Amazing

Everybody talking about the drummer but man that guitarist's tone is perfection
No, it's not.
@@capangus92 the sound isn’t that great bc it comes from a mic far away from the amp but the soudn itself is amazing. There is a difference between a good guitar tone and shitty mic.
@@PrimeRicci how can you know that the sound is amazing if you are listening it "from a mic far away from the amp" ? 😂
@@capangus92 because the tone is right, that, you can hear. Overall the SOUND was shitty, of course thats not a studio but you can still hear the amount of mid, bass, trebble, overdrive ect and tell that the tone was correct or at least decent enough for people to recognize it.
They all deserve credit, but I think the drummer is getting so much praise because this is literally one of the hardest songs to play on the drums.
The drummer makes it look so effortless, when a song like this is about as easy as juggling chainsaws while riding a unicycle on a pogo stick. Major kudos dude.

I bet there are some very impressed teachers who grew up on Tool watching proudly.
Oh you know it 🤘
I grew up a tool. And my brother is super proud
This came from google…Tool's song "Pneuma" has three time signatures: 12/8, 11/8, and 10/8, and is played at a tempo of about 114 BPM. Danny Carey, Tool's drummer, plays four different rhythm patterns with each limb during "Pneuma"…incredible performance 👍
I’m actually shocked 😳
This audience doesn’t get it, but Tool fans will. That drummer is going places 🤯
Danny Carey would be proud!
Thanks for the support and encouraging comment!
Totally agree Danny would be proud this Drummer held his own to such a tough drum equation. Parents should be real proud he will be going places
I don't care if it is perfect or not. Seeing kids playing tool nowadays is a giant bless 🤘🏼

When I saw the title of the video...I'm like yeah right! No way a bunch of teenagers are gonna be able to even keep up with Danny's playing. Nailed it? I mean.... No. They did okay, but they absolutely did not nail it. I guess I'm curious what your definition of "nailing it" would be. Because objectively, I give it a 6.5 to 7 out of 10. Still very impressive in its own right, but not a perfect rendition by any means. That being said, I'm sure they were the most talented act at this high school talent show (or whatever it was) that day.
@@AxelordSMIJES By nailed it, I meant actually pulled it off, not a perfect rendition. Mike Portnoy just did it on Drumeo and not even he could do a perfect rendition. Given that Tool had over 10 years to construct this masterpiece my intent of nailed it in this context is subjective.
The audience is like 'What just happened"? Most didn't realize this is an 11-minute masterpiece by the band Tool.
Most people in this generation are just focusing on pop music. Back in 2019, girls were shooketh when they found out that Tool was defeating Taylor Swift in the chart.

Another perspective on Mike's Drumeo performance - he struggled, but what he came up with in 5 hours was really good. The drummer you are watching in this video has been working on Pneuma for over a year.
I'm impressed what he did with a relatively simple kit accessible to a hs kid. Captured the spirit and tone really well with limited tool set
Portnoy had to come up with parts, not learn Danny’s. But yes, still insanely difficult and this kid kicks ass.
As a drummer and a fan of tool - this is just ridiculously so good. Drummer got hosed in this mix.
Proper mics and mixing is priority #1 for the next year
I think he was mic’ed. Maybe a kick and snare mic.
@@dfisk79I don't see a stand or cable for the kick drum. Unless he's got it triggered somehow, I don't think the drums are mic'd at all. Not uncommon for school performances.

Now i understand why Maynard stands in the back and in the shadows
That's exactly why. He says he can see what everyone is doing because it's so complex and Danny is a loud drummer. He only does it with tool. Not APC or puscifer.
Yeah, it’s because he really can’t sing very well anymore. The band has overshadowed Maynard’s vocals since Lateralus.
@@zacharyyoung1083that's not it at all. It's all about the sound and the optics, not because he can't sing. There are several interviews that come to mind where Maynard has explicitly commented about how the sound he's hearing from the band and how being in the back is preferable. (Worth finding the video) There have also been so many positive reviews of Maynard's singing and even pulling off the hard screams during the live tour that's been going on for a long time now
