    Mantra (the band) has a new RUclips channel. Let's give them some support. www.youtube.com/@themantraband
    A lot of folks have asked for MORE DRUMS. Here's a new recording on my son's channel: ruclips.net/video/ZQXGJfw2tK8/видео.htmlsi=52LzSG6CQ6FHu89s
    Thanks again to everyone viewing and posting positive comments - and I include in that any constructive critiques or feedback...all of that is welcome. You guys are restoring my hope for humanity!

      This was excellent. Is there more context to this performance? Was it indeed a high school talent show or similar? The only timing issues I heard were most likely related to the lack of a decent mic/monitor setup. I know when I played in school events, it was a lot of work to get any decent sound and trust someone to make sure mics were on. That was mainly with simple songs.
      It takes a lot of talent to pull off something this complex with what looks like minimal audio support…and to keep going and get back in sync with each other without stopping.

      @DrGsVidz  8 месяцев назад +9

      @@kylefolger This was a quarterly performance night at a public high school for students enrolled in the guitar class. It's not a competition. These guys have done this a few times now (you'll find more of their performances on my channel). The support staff is very limited and there's really no sound engineering...students just walk onto the stage, plug in, and start playing. Thanks for the positive response and feedback. These guys only rehearsed about 4-5 times on this song, which explains the handful of hiccups they had during the performance....I'm actually shocked they did as well as they did with so few practice sessions together.

      Nailed it? I mean.... No. They did okay, but they absolutely did not nail it. I guess I'm curious what your definition of "nailing it" would be. Because objectively, I give it a 6.5 to 7 out of 10. Still very impressive in its own right, but not a perfect rendition by any means. That being said, I'm sure they were the most talented act at this high school talent show (or whatever it was) that day.

    This is way more impressive than most people realise. Great work to these kids. I hope the band sees it and comments.

    This is one of the hardest songs to drum. It literally is a math sequence. Props to the kid drumming, and the other bandmates. Nice work kids.

    Crazy tribute performance. Epic for such young guys. Nice work kudos!!!! Complex and off time. They did it right. These guys get it.

    Incredibly good. As mentioned previously, the song is intricate, but they provided their own interpretation using the available resources. The drummer does a really good job, replicate Danny's not easy

    Props to the skills they have to mimic the whole song, but even more to the tone they've reached, sounds almost exactly like tool
