Mantra (the band) has a new RUclips channel. Let's give them some support. www.youtube.com/@themantraband
A lot of folks have asked for MORE DRUMS. Here's a new recording on my son's channel: ruclips.net/video/ZQXGJfw2tK8/видео.htmlsi=52LzSG6CQ6FHu89s
Thanks again to everyone viewing and posting positive comments - and I include in that any constructive critiques or feedback...all of that is welcome. You guys are restoring my hope for humanity!

This was excellent. Is there more context to this performance? Was it indeed a high school talent show or similar? The only timing issues I heard were most likely related to the lack of a decent mic/monitor setup. I know when I played in school events, it was a lot of work to get any decent sound and trust someone to make sure mics were on. That was mainly with simple songs.
It takes a lot of talent to pull off something this complex with what looks like minimal audio support…and to keep going and get back in sync with each other without stopping.

@@kylefolger This was a quarterly performance night at a public high school for students enrolled in the guitar class. It's not a competition. These guys have done this a few times now (you'll find more of their performances on my channel). The support staff is very limited and there's really no sound engineering...students just walk onto the stage, plug in, and start playing. Thanks for the positive response and feedback. These guys only rehearsed about 4-5 times on this song, which explains the handful of hiccups they had during the performance....I'm actually shocked they did as well as they did with so few practice sessions together.

Absolutely fantastic. These young men played a very complex song first off. The vocals are great, the drummer, and guitarist studied this song well because the timing is so unorthodox. Very well done gents! Plus Tool is the GOAT.

I don’t think people understand how hard this song is. Long song too. As a drummer Danny Carey is a fckn legend. this is a very difficult song to get down. This drummer did such a damn good job.

Ok everyone did great but special mention to the drummer, people have no idea how insanely hard this mammoth of a song is to nail that accurate on drums, the middle instrumental section when Danny goes insane with the polyrhythms?? Absolutely fucking great and totally nailed, woah.

Not to mention how hard the count is in the verses. It's in 33/8 and one bar is 123456 12345 123456 123456 12345 12345
