As an Armenian American who grew up listening to System, in the same town and community they grew up in, the band and this song hold a special place in my heart. Thank you to the band member who mentioned the Armenian folk undercurrent in their songs. Excellent rendition... very beautiful and haunting. Apropos.
That was an outstanding rendition! I came in never hearing you all before. Consider me a new fan! Really well orchestrated, the harms are obv beautiful. Everyone seems to stay in their lane and play their role really well. You all seem very comfortable together. I hope that track makes it into your set list btw. I'm sure fans would love it, and it seems like it'd be huge live.
As another pianist/keyboardist, you’re crazy good. You displayed great musicality and an amazing understanding of what makes a song tick. You brought out the best on each member and were conservative with your own playing. A true musician, as pretentious as it sounds hahaha. Great job!
The drummer is my brother. He’s on a cross Canada tour with these girls right now 😊 He’s amazing, and so are they ❤ They also have an amazing cover of Dreams by the Cranberries!
Ah! Dreams is a perfect duet song to cover. Whenever I listen to it, I like to practice alternating between the high part and the low part on random verses to practice harmonies.
It's interesting you mention the Cranberries... I was just listening about halfway through the final performance and the ladies were singing and heard the Cranberries vibes. Now I need to look up their cover of Dreams.
That keyboard crescendo around 7:10 unknowingly borrows heavily from a later SOAD song (Hypnotize)...and makes the whole experience even more powerful! I started listening to this as a complete skeptic...that there was no way this could be good. Now, I think there is no way there can ever be anything as good as this. BRAVO! An extremely talented bunch of musicians!
Please release it on all the streaming platforms so that we can listen to it on repeat. It takes ridiculous levels of talent to properly cover a SOAD song.
this "cover on the spot" series is the best thing in recent years on youtube. been seriously hooked since ulysses owens' nirvana cover and the amazing prog rock cover of please please please. i can't wait for the next installment! the only thing that would make it better is all the covers making their way onto streaming platforms.

My goodness. Shit, imagine listening to 5 full albums in a row one after the other for the first time ever. That would be mind-blowing for that person.
It blows my mind when I see videos like this and drumeo first listens where a musician has never heard system of a down or rage against the machine. Like what were you listening to during the 90's and 00's? Next you've never heard of Radiohead or modest mouse or incubus? Were we on the same planet?
One of my most favorite songs from one of my favorite bands, almost sanctimoniously so and it was lifted into something beautifully haunting. Somehow you kept the sadness, elevated it and dropped out the broken glass.
Well, as musicians not knowing Toxicity is outrageous!! …but you fully recovered with the performance! That revisited final part is remarkable and definitely worth the original!! Well done!

I think i speak for the majority of people living on this planet: Release this on spotify! Please! I would give a kidney just to be able to loop this song non-stop in stead of skipping advertisement etc. Beautifully done!
The fact that the keyboardist absolutely stole the spotlight given what is happening vocally is frankly hard to believe. He arranged the fuck out of that song and made himself so much future money by putting on an absolute clinic in studio musicianship.
It was beautiful watching the band work together. You can tell one person picks up where the other *slighly* falters, they built something so magical and haunting, absolutely captured the essence of Toxicity in their own style.
oh my freaking goodness I love this concept for a video. Besides the fact that these musicians are talented as hell (thanks for turning me on to them!) it's absolutely fascinating to watch the creative process behind bringing something together on the spot. So cool
I was initially watching this on my TV & when the final take was playing I started to get goosebumps. I got on my phone straight away to comment. You all brought new life to this amazing song & truly made it your own. Intro, bridge & outro is genius. Brilliant work guys!🔥👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤙🏼
I've never heard of this band until today. For them to re-interpret this song into what they created takes great musical awareness, It takes an open mind. They were having fun figuring it out, and its an excellent interpretation of the original, not a cookie cutter cover. I don't expect to convince anyone disliking it otherwise. I am a long time fan of SOAD, and have seen them live. I think they would like this rendition, it honors the song and System of a Down.
I CANNOT wait to see more and more of these videos. It’s so educational to help me understand the cultural backgrounds and the genre specifics. It makes me want to learn more and more!

WOW!!! It's not often that I find a cover that blows be away like this....rarely does a band decide to go in such a different direction with a cover and it rival the original in its sheer power to move me to tears...even rarer is it's agility to surpass the original. Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt did this. And now your cover of Toxicity has done so as well. Again...just WOW!!
this is absolutely stunning. the reimagination, the progression and the feels. They all played within their parts and as a whole, this turned out to be out of this world. Well executed. Props to the keyboardist for the composition and rising the feel of the second chorus. It hit hard. defintely hit hard

Nothing.
The keyboard player's intuitive understanding of music is outstanding.
Yeah bro doesn't miss
Their performance reminds me a ton of Chiodos keyboard lines and it works really well for this cover.
Probably the only one in the group with a formal musical education. Having that kind of background gives you lots of options and ideas.
