On an acoustic but electric everything goes. There was a couple years where when I’d go to write I’d already know the bmp by my mood and I’d look the guitar and feel where the capo should be and that’s where I’d start. Did this four many many many songs
Capo 12 or 13 is one of my favorite funny guitar things. Used to be a guy in my town who played folk punk with open chords on the high fretboard and it was so dumb that it was endearing and everyone loved it
@@MooseOnTheLeft Yup, I’m with you there! Sweet FA for sure and Chagu’s Sideturn are my favorite solos, with an honorable mention to Alrighty Aphrodite.
love how Mikey always looks like someone's uncle that pops into the garage during a family gathering and hits you with the "hey, y'know I used to dabble in some drums back in the day" before busting out the most unreal solo you've ever heard
I imagined them doing something like Give Up Baby Go for the verses, and Alrighty Aphrodite for the chorus The vibes from those songs instantly jumped out to me when thinking of the lyrics
The most band thing ever is the drummer playing during the first listen. Drummers literally cannot help themselves but make noise. Doesn't matter if someone is talking or if everyone is listening. Drummers are the worst and I love them.
I think it's hard because how iconic it is. Ignoring the Musora concept which I love, usually I do not like when artists cover iconic songs (because those do not need "fixing"). It's even worse when the band is trying to sound like the original. One of my favourites is Daughters "Get lucky" cover because how different it is... Similarily Obadiah's "Hey Ya" is also very cool...
I'm not mad that they know the song a little cause it's a reinvention unlike drumeo you kind of have to do it this way otherwise I can't see the results being great. 3:45 I dunno I could see a Kurt Cobain approach work too. He has to find the qualities in his voice he can highlight and forget about Chad.
capo 12 is a wild decision, Chris is practically playing a mandolin at that point lmao
Limited real estate... but somehow worked!

That guitarist totally shredded. Love this one.
Lead guitarist’s tone was incendiary… INCENDIARY. Nice job.

Love seeing the artist's work through the creative process.
Lots of haters here, enjoy the music and vibes. Happy to see the boys cover Chad.
Dead right!!! I wonder how many haters have had the level of success like Nickelback???
Last time I checked there was a full band behind the song not one person...
@@sideshowblobbruh what point are you trying to prove 😂
@@grady1370 Original comment says Chad. It isn't a one man band. If they like the band so much then respect the rest of its members.
@@sideshowblob true
Props to the boys for finding some points of difference to make it their own
seeing these guys with my best friend in june, they never freaking miss!!!
“the genius of Chad Kroeger” 😮💨 this one is a tough watch but I’m firming it

3:30 yo I was there! Rockstar would've been unreal but that Shania cover _HIT_ 🤠
Love this series! Don't stop please 🤘
Absolutely phenomenal artistic choices is this one. Bringing it down to voice and guitar only with the chorus felt SO good.
Just when you think this song couldn´t get any worse...Agassi and the boys prove me wrong.

It was good. In the surface, it kind of sounds like just a boring cover, but the more I listened to it, the more it worked. Great guitar work on this.
Love these dudes, always a pleasure to watch them live
smashed it!!
We need this on Spotify like, yesterday
