Seriously, if anyone is taking a trip to NYC, especially first timers, BOOK A TOUR. My family had a great time on our tour with Sarah. Best part was the tour was customized and personalized to what we wanted to see in Manhattan and Brooklyn and we learned a lot of great facts and info about the city.
Thank you so much@@hangingwithjen ! It was awesome showing you around!
My God ❤😇🇺🇸🙌
Would it work to have the two walking tours on the same day? I am arriving a thursday afternoon, and thinking it would be a good start of my week in NYC to have the two walking tours on friday..
It would as long as you have a break for a meal in the middle 😃@@erikaahlander9550
Love This Definitely Do Part 2 🙂
Thanks Tiffany! Maybe I will!
@@SarahFunky you welcome, I love the videos. I was born and raised in nyc and I love to see the history behind our city.
Criminal illegal aliens. Not 'migrants'
Victims of police brutality are getting compensated in millions. So why not apply the same approach to crimes committed by illegals?
Let's keep the DIMS busy this year. Victims of crimes committed by Illegal criminal Aliens living in the U.S. should file a $50 billion class-action lawsuit against agencies at all government levels for failure to enforce existing laws. Proactively seek legal advice and engage in wholesale activism on the political front.
We arrive on 15/03 and are there for 6 nights, your videos have been very helpful, Thank you
This video is amazing and informative. Definitely do as many more parts as needed. I have been to this area hundreds of times and knew very little about the background. Your videos unlike many other youtubers never get old. They just keep getting better. The content and quality is so professional.
Your support means the world to me! I appreciate you watching and enjoying my content.
@Sarah Funk I´m a quadriplegic from Brazil, I went to NYC maaaaaaaaaany years ago. Doing a tour like this to me is tough, at least, near impossible, so, trully, from my heart, thank you for the ride.

Great video! I never knew the history of the Brooklyn Bridge. Something I took for granted before had such a negative, yet positive, aspect to it.
Who knew a bridge could have such a dramatic backstory, right? History is full of surprises!
@SarahFunky I would love to join your tour, and if you could do more of these meetings, that would be great.
I learned a lot in this video thanks
Hi, Sara I really liked your tour video about Lower Manhattan, especially the part about the history of why we celebrate New Year's every year and the history of how the Manhatten Bridge was built all those years ago without electricity. I didn't know that a bunch of Elephants were able to walk on the Bridge in order to prove to people that they could do it too.
nice tour of new york, very interesting !
Thank you!
nice info Mrs Sarah Funk
I was recently in NYC with family and friends during Christmas time. We stayed at The Mark and our concierge tour guide failed in comparison to you. I'm putting your name in for next time!! Do you also do Harlem and/or Jazz tours?
Loved this episode. Really-more like it loved the history lesson.
At 12:39, Pier 17. I remember this well from my teen years. I would ride my bicycle from Chinatown all over lower Manhattan including the Twin Towers and in June 1985. They completed the outside structure of Pier 17 and took down the fencing allowing us to enter. The shops had not been built yet, only the outside structure to include the staircases. I would ride my bicycle down here and carry it up the flights of stairs at midnight. I remember those warm summer nights and I would sit on the benches on the second level and look out in to Brooklyn. The serene of midnight hours contrasted against the hustle and bustle of daily NYC rush. I found it so soothing and enjoyed almost every night I came here. I did not know this but at the time, it would be the last I get to experience this. I left in August of 85 and went in to the Air Force. I would visit annually and loved coming down to Pier 17 until it was taken away by Hurricane Sandy. I didn't know that I would not return to NY to reside but now I visit often and try to enjoy it as much as possible. Thank you for this tour as it evokes great memories of my teen years.
This was cool, thanks Sarah! I have not been to that area of the island and now I will have to check it out the next time I make it up there.
Discovering new places is always exciting, glad I could inspire you to explore!
This is exactly the video i was looking for
More videos like this!! ❤

Please do part 2.
Love the history lesson !
History is like a big storybook that we get to explore together. Glad you're enjoying the journey!
Pier 17 has some great concerts during the summer! I saw Blondie there a few years back and it was amazing! We were on a roof top with views of Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge!
Great story 👏 👌
Hi Sarah, I am from Croatia and I will be visiting Miami and NYC this year, can't wait! I will spend 1 week in NYC, based on your videos, I think this is enough to explore most of the city. Any suggestions, tips? :D
