Seriously, if anyone is taking a trip to NYC, especially first timers, BOOK A TOUR. My family had a great time on our tour with Sarah. Best part was the tour was customized and personalized to what we wanted to see in Manhattan and Brooklyn and we learned a lot of great facts and info about the city.
Thank you so much@@hangingwithjen ! It was awesome showing you around!
My God ❤😇🇺🇸🙌
Would it work to have the two walking tours on the same day? I am arriving a thursday afternoon, and thinking it would be a good start of my week in NYC to have the two walking tours on friday..
It would as long as you have a break for a meal in the middle 😃@@erikaahlander9550
Love This Definitely Do Part 2 🙂
Thanks Tiffany! Maybe I will!
@@SarahFunky you welcome, I love the videos. I was born and raised in nyc and I love to see the history behind our city.
We arrive on 15/03 and are there for 6 nights, your videos have been very helpful, Thank you
@SarahFunky. I have a question. Do you know if the east river pier 11 Wall Street ferry stop is closed? If so, are there any alternatives? ❤Thanks. I enjoy your videos.
This video is amazing and informative. Definitely do as many more parts as needed. I have been to this area hundreds of times and knew very little about the background. Your videos unlike many other youtubers never get old. They just keep getting better. The content and quality is so professional.
Your support means the world to me! I appreciate you watching and enjoying my content.
@Sarah Funk I´m a quadriplegic from Brazil, I went to NYC maaaaaaaaaany years ago. Doing a tour like this to me is tough, at least, near impossible, so, trully, from my heart, thank you for the ride.
I came to NYC as a teenager. I'm now very old. Thought I knew a lot about the city but I've just learned some new information from this video. Loved it. Please do part 2!
Aussie here, been a subscriber for a while. Loved this video, such a fascinating story on how Brooklyn Bridge was built. Wow! Please do a part 2.
Sarah, what an amazing video! I've seen some other videos about one or two of those places, but this one here, with this amount of history infos along... just... THANK YOU!
Now I have to figure out how to include this tour in my trip 😅🫶
Thank you for your kind words! It means a lot to know my content is appreciated.
At 3:44 where the building clock is located. I understand your laugh as you say who doesn't have a cell to tell time but there was a time before cell phones. I was a teen and rode my bicycle from Chinatown down to these areas and we couldn't afford watches when we were kids. So if in the middle of the night and we needed to know the time, my friends and I would ride down to this building and then we decide if we would head home yet.
Here for the red manicured nails, the Birkin bag,Prada coat and the black Doc Martens. Love how you style these.Amazinng walkthrough
Love this kind of informative videos of NYC . Please do a part 2. I'm going to visit this beautiful city in June and this got me thinking of booking a tour.
Thank you for your kind words! Part 2 is definitely on the horizon, and your support means a lot!
Yes, Please a part 2. I love the history of NYC.
Part 2 please Sarah, it's the first time anyone has explained downtown to me and it looks fabulous.
Very informative and entertaining . Not only are you so well versed on the city, you really enjoy relaying all this info to otherwise ignorant fellows like myself. After listening to one of your videos , I feel like I have been educated and have gained a nice chunk of knowledge. I thank you for that.
I referred all your videos prior to my visit to NYC earlier this week , those helped a lot ! 😊
Love from India ❤
Looks like I'm your virtual tour guide! Happy to be of service.
At 12:39, Pier 17. I remember this well from my teen years. I would ride my bicycle from Chinatown all over lower Manhattan including the Twin Towers and in June 1985. They completed the outside structure of Pier 17 and took down the fencing allowing us to enter. The shops had not been built yet, only the outside structure to include the staircases. I would ride my bicycle down here and carry it up the flights of stairs at midnight. I remember those warm summer nights and I would sit on the benches on the second level and look out in to Brooklyn. The serene of midnight hours contrasted against the hustle and bustle of daily NYC rush. I found it so soothing and enjoyed almost every night I came here. I did not know this but at the time, it would be the last I get to experience this. I left in August of 85 and went in to the Air Force. I would visit annually and loved coming down to Pier 17 until it was taken away by Hurricane Sandy. I didn't know that I would not return to NY to reside but now I visit often and try to enjoy it as much as possible. Thank you for this tour as it evokes great memories of my teen years.
So informative and cool! Please do part 2! 👏🙌🌻

I was recently in NYC with family and friends during Christmas time. We stayed at The Mark and our concierge tour guide failed in comparison to you. I'm putting your name in for next time!! Do you also do Harlem and/or Jazz tours?
I am visiting NYC this May and this part of the city was not on my go-to list. Now it is! Thank you, Sarah.
Great video! I never knew the history of the Brooklyn Bridge. Something I took for granted before had such a negative, yet positive, aspect to it.
Who knew a bridge could have such a dramatic backstory, right? History is full of surprises!
@SarahFunky I would love to join your tour, and if you could do more of these meetings, that would be great.
Hello Sarah. We were in NYC for a week, unfortunately we have to fly back to Switzerland this evening. Your videos helped a lot with preparing what we were going to watch, how and where. Thank you very much and keep it up! Kind regards from Lower Manhattan
Hi, Sara I really liked your tour video about Lower Manhattan, especially the part about the history of why we celebrate New Year's every year and the history of how the Manhatten Bridge was built all those years ago without electricity. I didn't know that a bunch of Elephants were able to walk on the Bridge in order to prove to people that they could do it too.
Thank you Sarah that was fantastic!
We are doing this tour right now! Thank you!! And thank you for the cookie recommendation. They were so good.
I'm from Asia ,learned a lot about the city of New York from your video. Looking forward to visiting NYC😊
