He is the most consistent player in Chelsea's history. One of the PL's most consistent ever players and helped Chelsea to two CL finals (winning one of them). I'm a die hard United fan, and I mean die hard. I absolutely loathe Chelsea with all my heart. Most of their success is due to Abramovic's cheque book. However, Lampard was there before the money and only got better when other expensive acquisitions came in. Some made him better (Drogba, Essien, Makelele, Cole). While he outperformed and outlasted others (Deco, Ballack, Mikel, Malouda, Kalou, Shevchenko etc). Whatever you think of his style of play (yes it's not the most exciting and it's quite basic by modern standards). However his desire, consistency, work rate and touches of class here and there are laudable. Especially his eye for goal which is undeniably great. A true legend of the game and deserves far more respect (the less said about his managerial career, the better 🤣🤣)
Describing him as a 'workhorse' doesn't do him justice. His passing range and vision were incredible, not a pass he couldn't play. His reading of the game trumps most players to have played his position and his goal/ assist numbers are among the greatest in the history of the sport for a midfielder. Also, his consistency was unbelievable.
@@leeallen3109 His passing range and vision were very good at times, but there is a reason why its not mentioned up there with the Xavi, Alonso, De Bruyne, Pirlo, Scholes, Kroos, Silva, Riquelme, Sneijder and Messi's of the world. What a factually incorrect and bias rating. I honestly question whether the people who make these videos have ever actually seen these players. Lampard is up there with the Greats of the game not just midfielders. People can Cry all day about how good Zidane, Xavi, Iniesta and Pirlo etc were, and i would agree they were all very good. The fact is none of them actually performed at a level remotely consistent with Lampard. People forget about what the game is actually about, and that is you stick the ball in the net. You do that the most and you win Games, awards and trophies which Lampard has done time and again from Midfield in the hardest league in Football. People may not have liked he's simplistic style of play or the Club he played for, but you cannot deny he's ability as a player.
@@DailyDoseOfFootballYT Just checked. 2015-2016 season. 29 appearances for NYC, 15 goals. Your source is wrong. Also if you wanna talk about consistency, man scored 20 goals for four straight seasons from Midfield. He is still the highest scoring midfielder in Premier Legue History. Man also broke the record for most consecutive games played.
You also say his trophy cabinet is unimpressive. Bruh, seriously? Man has won all major tournaments. I mean what standards are you basing this comparison on? That Chelsea isn't Barcelona not doing 3-4 cups a year? If you just look at his base contributions, man has more assists and goals than Iniesta, Xavi, Giggs etc.
“He barely played outside Chelsea, at least at the highest level” 🤦🏻♂️ he played at the highest level regardless. What does it matter that it was for chelsea? 😂 Consistency is 9/10. Ever present for Chelsea for over a decade
Wait when did I say David Beckham won the Ballon D'Or? Edit: Yeah when I said david beckham I was refering to what I had just said which was finishing second not winning, which he did after united's treble season behind Rivaldo I think
Any holding midfielder dream of being like him, he used to score consistently every season and as well as he kept good numbers in assists and u gave 6 for consistency wtf 8 was understood bro u a noob
It's consistency and adaptability across the different competitions and leagues, he never left Chelsea for another club in his prime and had an underwhelming international career, can't give him higher than 6. Ofc if it was a game to game consistency he'd get like an 8-9
Every player doesn't roam around the whole world to get a tag of consistency ,he has every single trophy he could with Chelsea and by your logic messi's consistency should also be 6 because he hasn't won anything with Argentina and now don't say Messi scores a hell lot of goals and so do lampard as a midfielder is goal machine
@@DailyDoseOfFootballYT Haha stupid answer... I liked your video but you dont need to rate or analyze player because your analogy is poor.... You can just talk about the player and his career.... If you cant do it right, dont do the ratings ! But keep making videos .....
@@DailyDoseOfFootballYT Lol, better follow darts or something...since you don't understand football. Dumbest logic ever, players should force themselves to change environment constantly just to prove some nimrod like you they can adapt? Lampard is one of the best midfielders of all time, and it's not because of his wild talent, but because of his mentality and work rate. As far as international careers go, if you knew anything about football, you'd know that random factor is high in football. In other words, you need a big sample of games to make any kind of decent analysis. Tournaments of max 6 or 7 games are not a good measure of how good some team really is, let alone a player lol. England did not win any major trophies, but Lampard's performances were still good and better than most there (like Gerrard for example). This is especially true for the last 25-30 years or so because prior to that most national teams rosters consisted mostly of players who played in 2-3 teams and they played together all the time. Nowadays they're scattered all over Europe and not only that, but the seasons are so long and the number of games a year constantly increases so UEFA can make more money, so national team competitions are often lackluster and players are in general drained after a long season, that especially goes for Premier league players. Also, why the fuck would Lampard want to go to some other league, when Premier league was and still is the most competitive league? Not only do you have most teams actually competing for the title every year, but even the lower tier teams are motivated and will go against you tooth and nail. Barcelona, Real and Bayern for the most part have easy seasons and can focus more easily on CL campaign. Ok, in the last years Atletico emerged as a contender too, but otherwise it was mostly between Barcelona and Real lol, even if they lost a bunch of games no other team could capitalize on that in Primera. As for Bundesliga, that's a fucking joke. If you knew anything about football, you'd know that there is an unwritten agreement there that Bayern has first pick on any transfer within the league. Not only that, but the whole league serves as a glorified training camp for Bayern, the teams are just strong enough to give them a good and serious training session, but not nearly strong enough to actually win the league. Here and there Dortmund is able to do something, but that's about it. Usually the only time when Bayern loses the league when a bunch of their players are retiring or they're rebuilding the team and at the same time another team has a really good generation (and Bayern takes half of their best players or more next season lol). Longevity 8/10 hahahaha. Do you even understand what kind of conditioning and discipline is needed to play on that level for so long in the strongest league in the world, with the most games out of all leagues (when you combine cups etc.)? Not only that, but Lampard hardly ever choked, he was consistent throughout his career. How the fuck can you question the longevity of a guy that plays that many games in physically most demanding league in the world, never really has a bad season (even if his team had some)? He was fucking phenomenal deep into his 30s and for majority of his career, he played 90 min games or close to, at some point playing like 160 consecutive games without missing one. Last but not least, the trophy cabinet lol. This is what happens when a person with low IQ, no understanding of the sport and no knowledge in proper INTERPRETATION of statistics starts making videos about anything. Lampard's trophy cabinet is extremely impressive. Trophies like Ballon d'Or are nice, but they are 90% politics and there is no clear criteria when awarding them. One year it's the player who left the best impression, next year the guy who scored most goals, the next is the guy who will sell most shirts or make money for various companies and investors etc. If you analyze it year by year, there are many inconsistencies, double standards and sometimes pure lunacy and stupidity. Playing in Premier league at that level, being so consistent for so many years and winning all those trophies is absolutely phenomenal. The competition was insane for most of those years and Lampard's contribution to Chelsea winning them was absolutely vital. Again, national team trophies are nice to have but since football has such high random factor, it's too small a sample of games to actually determine who's best. Not just that, but those performances are often romanticized just because some team won or reached the finals, but they often fall apart under minimal analysis. What matters when it comes to Frank's national career is that he performed well for England and was mostly consistent, the fact that he never claimed a major trophy is beside the point. People heavily romanticize Zidane's 1998. and 2006. performances at WC, even though they were nothing special for a player of such skill. In 1998. he left his team hanging cause he stomped the Arabian guy on the ground and just because he scored 2 goals in the finals against Brazil who were dazed with Ronaldo having convulsions prior to the final. France won that WC with their diamond hard defence, not because of Zidane. In 2006. he played great against a weird Brazilian team full of stars that played like shit and people made a fucking movie out of it lol, and he left his team hanging again in the finals. His best performance for the national team was Euro 2000., there he really shined but hardly anyone mentions that because morons romanticize his 2 goals against Brazil in 1998. and his good performance against them in 2006. In general, Zidane's whole career is vastly overrated because his style of play was so beautiful to watch and some of his moves were replayed so many times that people got into their heads that he did this every game. Truth is, he was wildly inconsistent throughout his career and wasn't even able to lead Juventus to 2x CL titles and 2x Scudetti when Del Piero was struggling with injuries and regaining top form after them. Almighty Zizou wasn't able to lead ultra powerful Juve to win those competitions against Mickey Mouse opponents (when compared to Juve at that time). Lampard is the best midfielder of his generation. Not the most talented and he certainly didn't have the best high peak, but his work rate, consistency, minimal number of bad or lackluster performances, insane amount of goals and assists, professionalism, the ability to stay on such high level for so many years etc. is certainly nothing short of amazing. Some players were better than him in terms of skillset, but he was so well rounded and last so long that when you draw the line after the entire career, most of them pale by comparison. One of the reasons why he's underrated (especially by people like you) is because he was such a team player, and those players usually never get the credit they deserve.
Not gonna lie, the ratings you give make 0 sense a lot of the time. The things you weight heavily and the negative marks you give are completely baffling. Consistency means performing in other leagues? You can't judge him on that considering he didn't play in other leagues but you can't mark him down for it either... Not to mention you talk about his international achievements, so basically you're gonna say every English player from that era wasn't good because as a team they didn't achieve much internationally? Guess Scholes, Lamps, Terry, Gerrard, Rio, Rooney etc are all just overrated players.

In 2005 cruyff and Sammer said that he is the best midfielder of the world.
Mourinho really shaped Chelsea then
Forgot to say that lampard stole the ball of Messi I believe then assisted ramires and scoring title for Chelsea and highest goal scoring midfield...
You're comparing a box2box center midfielder to strikers and wingers.. that's weird 😆
It's either you're stunned by his stats that you didn't think it's fair to compare him with other center midfielders, or you just lack knowledge.
Lampard was class till the day he Retired
Thought this was a channel with atleast 100k subs! Maybe change the name to something more original, people might think it’s some form of rip off. The quality on your videos are amazing either way. Keep it up!
Because of daily dose of Internet?
Yeah, Try come up with something you’d click on!
@@Absolut-ds5sm yeah guess that makes sense
Yeah you're definitely a Liverpool fan who thinks Gerrard was better than lampard, cause this ratings are really bad
Next video Recommendation-Video on tony Adams
Plzzzzzzzzz🙏🙏🙏
Lampard hater rates beckham a83 and lampard 72 what the ?
If you’re saying he isn’t consistent because he didn’t play in different leagues then that means Messi isn’t consistent?
You screwed your ranking system with Lampard.
I don't like the rate you gave Lampard I think it could be better than that .
Can we talk about that Pepsi commercial though.
Lampard
Drogba
Henry
Arshavin
Kaká
Messi
Like dang they payed some studs to be in that commercial.
Why does this channel only have 78 subscribers? No this is wrong
You're so nice, maybe one day it will have a lot, until then I'll keep working hard
Came back to say I'm at 1000 now ahah
So happy for you bro, keep producing the awesome content
“Places him just under Luis Figo so I gotta fix the rankings” 🧢. Put some respect on Lampard’s name
make one about petr Cech!
Quality channel but you are talking nonsense here .. such disrespect
Football Iconic's video is miles better
2006 War Lampard's 2nd World Cup His First World Cup was 2002
6/10?????? 😂 Dude what is that.
But chelsea in this era was pure physical as well..look at the team today..all skinny
'Only 14 trophies' --> oh yeh, what a pathetic achievement ...
Last years disappointing? Bruh he scored alteast 15 goals in a single season in the MLS.
no he didn't, the most he got was 12 and it's Lampard in the MLS
Yes The video was very good ....
But I as well as his stats dont agree with the rating you gave him at last.
7:24 Aijen Hobben? I could hardly hear the "R" - just mimick the pronounciation from English commentators, when in doubt :D
I always thought he was a weapon tbh
“He barely played outside Chelsea, at least at the highest level” 🤦🏻♂️ he played at the highest level regardless. What does it matter that it was for chelsea? 😂 Consistency is 9/10. Ever present for Chelsea for over a decade
6 consistency!! He scored over 20 goals season after season, also he was a better player than Figo. Totally pointless video.
What do u mean his trophy cabinet isn’t tht impressive 😂😂
Michael Owen won the balon dor not David Beckham. Just a slip of the tongue. Other than that this is a solid video
Wait when did I say David Beckham won the Ballon D'Or?
Edit: Yeah when I said david beckham I was refering to what I had just said which was finishing second not winning, which he did after united's treble season behind Rivaldo I think
Something is wrong here about this guys ratings I rather have super frank than luis figo .
Luís Figo was way better in my opinion, I would have rated him even higher but I try to be unbiased here
@@DailyDoseOfFootballYT dude you have lampard below gorge weah in your ranking that just show I can't take you serously .
@@DailyDoseOfFootballYT Wish you luck !
Ronaldinho only played seriously until the age of 27 or younger. Afterwards, he partied way too much
This seems botted
