I've been a lifelong Chelsea fan and have been so spoiled by players like Terry, Carvalho, Ivanovic, Cole. Carvalho was so fricken dirty, but didn't get carded as often as you would think. He was in striker's heads. You could see it. Messed with their confidence, made them believe they were battling up against a wall. He was truly special. Imagine what Carvalho in his prime would do to this current Chelsea squad.

Ricky would easily be a 100 million defender today: quick, intelligent, terrific ball player, and despite his lithe frame, he was unstoppable in both boxes. Our No 6 ❤

William Gallas was a big part of the defense to at chelsea offering cover in every defensive position.

He was pretty much Kyle Walker before kyle walker even exist. Mourinho totally made him the ideal fullback but it's a shame he was too stubborn for his own good. Ended up leaving to play as a decent CB when he could had been a great fullback. Luckily for Chelsea they ended up finding a gem in Ivanovic, so gallas leaving wasn't missed as much.

I was devastated when Carvalho was banned from the national team. I believe Bosingwa was also around the same time. It did nothing but hurt the national team and Portugal's chances for trophies. People and their egos, man.

I truly believe that Ricardo Carvalho was never regarded as a "Forgotten Defender." This sentiment is not limited to individuals from England or Spain (from people I had direct connection); it is also widely shared on football forums. Carvalho is well-recognized and is even considered one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

You always talk about the Euro 2016 final. The one missing the last chance of winning for france was Andre-Pierre Gignac. Scoring that goal would've make him a legend. It would be cool to see a video about him from you, he is my favorite player.
