Suarez commited a foul. He was punished. Ghana didn't convert the penalty and lost. It was a fair game.

Cheating is compromising the outcome with something which is not allowed. Saving a goal with your hands is publishable with a red card as any other foul that fits in the criteria. Henry committed a foul but the fact he didnt report it, made him a cheater. Suarez wasn't a cheater. Everybody saw what he was doing. To cheat is for example lose a game on purpose for money, or to manipulate referees like Juventus did. That is cheating.

Hmm...That would make a good debate. Anyway, it made their win lose the value. We don't want that in football, right?🤔

@@the-footballclinic Henry's handball is unforgivable because he should have been punished for it. Suarez's save was punished and Ghana failed to score the penalty and to win in 30 minutes against 10 men. It's all within the parameters of what's allowed and punished. Henry's handball made me lose a lot of love for the man. I understand that it sent them to the WC but he had always been an inspiration for children and such. Suarez has done bad things that were unpunished too, like biting Chiellini. But again, he was banned after the cameras revealed it

I am french. Henry's hand was such a shame for us. Many people wanted the team to cancel the game and give it to Ireland.
That period of time was really bad for the french national team the head coach was the worst of all time and he completely destroyed this generation of player. (True story he was choosing the players based on their astrological signs...)
Worst is that French team did so bad during the world cup after. It was painfull to watch.
It's funny to see that most of the comment here people say that this is ok for people to do what Suarez, Maradonna or Henry did. It was Ok, They were punish etc.
I do not agree. If you do something like that you should be punished with a red directly, ban from football afterward, in the case of Ganna goal should be granted.
It would be like saying it's ok to go after the best player in the team, brake is legs (taking a red). you get ride of him your team win you come back later like nothing happen. It's the opposit of sportsmanship.

If you take a look at Suarez's first block with his knee, you'll notice that he was ready to turn himself into the goalkeeper in that situation as well...🧐😅

Suarez, red card and Ghana did get a penelty. Thats not cheating.
West Germany and Austria followed the ruels, not cheating even if it is ethicaly wrong.

Cheating assumes premeditation. Maradona, Suarez and Henry didn’t go to the game determined to cheat. Those were instinctive reactions. They were all fouls like tackling or pushing. We don’ t call those cheating. The problem with Maradona and Henry is that the refs missed the call. But soccer is full of missed calls, even these days.

How often did Suarez bite his opponents?
In my opinion one of the dirtiest players ever.
