I'd visit Brenspeed's page and check out their 3v cars. I know you're not looking for a huge HP 3v but there are a LOT of misconceptions around 3v cars. They'll never be Texas Mile cars but reliable 475+ hp cars are completely possible....at least according to Brenspeed.
I'm a big fan of Brenspeed. Their tune in my 3v is the best I've tried, and I tried a lot. One day I'd like their B326...maybe also topped off with a whipple. ;) And something needs to be done with the trans. I hate the 5R55S.
Check the gearing by putting the rear of the car on stands and spinning the tyres by hand checking drive shaft rotation. If that does have 4:10 it would be more rev happy not struggling.
Ford racing intake, kooks longtubes and stage 2 hot rod cams with jlt cold air wake those cars up, or just coyote swap with power by the hour plug and play harness. Those are the easiest cars to coyote swap.
Cobra jet pmas intake, 65mm ford racing TB, imrc delete, long tubes, off-road mid, 47lbs injectors with e85 tune and if you throw in a pair of cams you’ll get close to the 400rwhp.
If it already had a tune it won't upload the new one until you take the other one off. The car can only run one tune at a time. Now with that being said, if you can't get ahold of the old tuner, you'll haft to get it flashed.
@@MustangLifestyleTV 😆😂🤣That's what I herd, makes sense too.. But even yourself were saying you couldn't really feel a change. If im being honest, my 3v is more stock than his and it looks like his is waaaay more sluggish than mine. My 2007 GT puts me in my seat every time i open it.

Just yesterday, I reved my 07 GT twice and redlined it, next thing you know smoke coming from engine so I thought oh overheating nice probably broke a radiator hose no biggi, I drove to pull over and see more smoke and I couldn’t tell or not but Also saw smoke coming from tailpipes,😳 i called a friend to get coolent and as we were putting it in it’s dripping like crazy between back of engine and front of transmission, could this be a blown head gasket, ?
There is a heater line running underneath the intake manifold. They use a PVC type connector that will fail and crack over time. When it does, coolant will run down the back of the engine. Check for that.
It's not slower than people think. Stock they run mid 13's, where as for example a 2015 runs 13 flat...maybe a touch under if you're lucky (as in one tenth). That's not a huge difference and can be made up with the 3v with light mods (not even necessarily HP mods either). The 3v cars also weigh less than the newer ones. What does suck is the auto (5R55S) they had, ugh.
Actually a healthy one should be putting down 260ish wheel.....and what are your smoking....the S197 is an excellent platform. Faster then all Mustangs of its level that came before it and better handling as well. Looks are simply outstanding.
