I recommend buying the sct x4 directly from american muscle and running the free bama tunes for life just so you have a base tune in place before you contact lito for his tune. I did the exact same thing I described to you about 2 years ago. Getting that tuner and having Lito re tune my car was the best decision I have ever made.

Got my lito tune done a couple weeks ago and he was very quick getting back and making adjustments to the tune. Total of 4 tunes after data logging before it was perfected by Lito, I had all kind of crazy rpm jumps on cold starts with my previous bama tune now it’s a smooth cold start up not jumping all around the rpm range. I would definitely recommend Lito also!

Hey if you do not have a wideband I highly recommend you get one. I run the innovate LM2 and its amazing. Lito really likes it. Enjoy your lito tune. They are incredible!
By happier dyno he means that from dyno to dyno you will see a good fluctuation in power. So if you want more accurate results use the same dyno every time. Mustang dyno actually puts out lower numbers than most and dyno jet puts generally higher and can alter crom uncorrected to corrected to SAE and so on. So they can make it show more on the graph with the click of a button. One may show 340rwhp and switch to say corrected from uncorrected and it can pop uo to 350rwhp. Best to see is hit the track and get a good trap speed. That will tell you best.

Obviously currency doesn't go very far with that level of inflation, so it's not quite like he can live off 100 USD for a lifetime, but this man offers the best prices you can possibly get because either way he's making way above a year's salary per tune. What a baller.

This is good stuff Nate. The Hot Rod cams and Steeda delete plates favor the higher RPM. Looking to copy, so do the 4:10's still pull hard in combination with those two mods?
I would have just invested in the dyno tune. It may be more your first time getting it tuned at the shop and retunes usually are way less after. Crank numbers are cool, but it’s all about the hp and tq to the wheels haha 😈. Hopefully, another dyno video soon!

I would rather dyno tune i know some guys that got datalog tunes with boltons i got and im faster in the 1/4 and on rolls we got tunes from the same guy to me dyno is better because you see a/f ratio you get hp numbers and torque numbers

Sorry bro, but that car isn’t making 360 rwhp with those mods, trust me I know & especially on 92 octane. I’ve had those mods before & it was Lito tuned. But anyway Lito is the man, he’s tuned both of my Mustangs, he’s actually retuning my 900 rwhp 3v now. Enjoy your new tune.
Unless you got built bottom end on a 3V, you take chance throwing a rod or pistons anything over 450 to the wheels when you throw a blower on it. And also, GT 3V has high compression ratio. Most boost you will see is like 8 pounds.
He'll even be fine running 150 shot as long as tune is right on stock internals. I was referring to him getting a blower and how stock S197 internals has chopstick rods. I have 300 shot on my mach1 but I have aluminator motor so unless he beef up the internals, I wouldn't recommend a blower because about 450 to the wheels are all he'll get out of it with safe tune. So spend all that money for 50 more to the wheels? I rather up it to 150 shot and save the money.

Bama Tunes also why they're not that good is because your engine runs super rich so that you don't blow it up so you need a Dyno tune to actually get everything right the air fuel ratio is very important so I still would not trust a tune that's just over a computer by somebody because every car is slightly different you can't get the proper air fuel ratio that it really needs proper timing it took quite a while for them to get it perfect they tuned it took it for a cruise to and it again took it for a cruise to and it again took it for a cruise they spent an entire day on it and then it was perfect my car also idles at 750 RPMs but I know that the timing and air fuel ratio is a way it supposed to be so you don't blow up your motor and you also should get full lockouts on your phaser that makes a hell of a difference and then have it properly Dyno tune cost six hundred bucks but it's worth every penny of it
Nate, with your mods I'd expect your car to put down about 340rwhp & 330rwtq. Factor in a 12% drivetrain loss, that's about 385hp & 375lbft at the crank. I'm sure you'd love to factor in a drivetrain loss of 15% so you can claim to have 400 crank hp, but the reality is that modern RWD drivetrains are more efficient than that, with manuals losing only 10-12%. Your engine does sound amazing though, especially at WOT.
12% drivetrain loss? Best joke I have ever heard. Even manual transmission and rear wheel drive supercars experience more drivetrain loss than that. This isn't even close. Just the driveshaft alone on these cars weigh 41lbs and its 2 piece design with a piss poor design of a carrier bearing as well. Between that, the transmission, heavy steel factory flywheel, his larger and heavier than stock wheels and factory axle he is easily losing between 15-17% of his power. His rotatinal mass has only increased with that wheel and tire combination. To say only 12% loss is pure ignorance.
We'll see when he gets back on the dyno. Indeed I hadn't taken into account the heavier wheels (27lb rims, 34lb tires) 'cause the estimated 12% drivetrain loss is with stock wheels (25lb rims, 26lb tires), so the additional 10lb on each wheel may cause a 10rwhp loss. Add a further 5rwhp loss from the 4.10 axle gears, and my original estimate of 340rwhp comes down to 325 on a Dynojet inertia chassis dyno. An Eddy current dyno may yield different results. That said, I still stand by my estimated crank numbers of 385hp & 375lbft though.
@@DJDinaggio 12% drivetrain loss is the most idiotic claim I have ever heard in my life. Try 15-17% loss for a rear wheel drive vehicle on average. There are too many variables to accurately tell what the exact percentage will be on 1 specific vehicle based on weather conditions, rotational mass, dyno calibration and altitude but I know from personal experience that only a 12% loss is 100% impossible. Even on a front wheel drive vehicle.
Well then it would seem that The Big Three are grossly underrating their crank HP/TQ numbers if what you're saying is actually true, and a stock '05-'09 Mustang GT should have been rated at 315-320 crank hp instead of 300. However if the factory claimed HP/TQ numbers are correct, then a 10-12% drivetrain loss for RWD cars is also correct and I can give you a whole list of examples. The big game changer is when people start adding bigger, heavier wheels/tires and swapping in higher ratio axle gears.
Wow. $100 for bolt on only. That's pretty cheap. Do you think the Lito tune yields a higher net HP to wheels cause it is sort of a quasi-custom tune due to the datalog and inputs to Lito for final adjustments? Hmm...I might switch to Lito from Bama as well. Good vid!!! Enjoy the car.

KingK you are right except the fact that logging on the road is BETTER than a dyno, you get drive-ability worked out instead of just working on WOT

Dyno Numbers are useless. A wideband gauge is super simple to get you afr.

His rotatinal mass has only increased with that wheel and tire combination. To say only 12% loss is pure ignorance.

Indeed I hadn't taken into account the heavier wheels (27lb rims, 34lb tires) 'cause the estimated 12% drivetrain loss is with stock wheels (25lb rims, 26lb tires), so the additional 10lb on each wheel may cause a 10rwhp loss. Add a further 5rwhp loss from the 4.10 axle gears, and my original estimate of 340rwhp comes down to 325 on a Dynojet inertia chassis dyno. An Eddy current dyno may yield different results.
That said, I still stand by my estimated crank numbers of 385hp & 375lbft though.
@@DJDinaggio 12% drivetrain loss is the most idiotic claim I have ever heard in my life. Try 15-17% loss for a rear wheel drive vehicle on average. There are too many variables to accurately tell what the exact percentage will be on 1 specific vehicle based on weather conditions, rotational mass, dyno calibration and altitude but I know from personal experience that only a 12% loss is 100% impossible. Even on a front wheel drive vehicle.
Well then it would seem that The Big Three are grossly underrating their crank HP/TQ numbers if what you're saying is actually true, and a stock '05-'09 Mustang GT should have been rated at 315-320 crank hp instead of 300.
However if the factory claimed HP/TQ numbers are correct, then a 10-12% drivetrain loss for RWD cars is also correct and I can give you a whole list of examples. The big game changer is when people start adding bigger, heavier wheels/tires and swapping in higher ratio axle gears.

Wow. $100 for bolt on only. That's pretty cheap. Do you think the Lito tune yields a higher net HP to wheels cause it is sort of a quasi-custom tune due to the datalog and inputs to Lito for final adjustments? Hmm...I might switch to Lito from Bama as well. Good vid!!! Enjoy the car.
