I have a question I have a 2006 mustang gt .. with bbk long tube headers... jtl cold air intake... im thinking of getting a 93 octane tune... do I have to get it done also to just tune it to 93 octane
What you can do is find the tuneing place you want tell them all the mods you have atm then tell them you want a ,93 Oct performance tune that will give you the best of both worlds still keep mpg and increase hp
Hey bro I recently got a Bama tune and just finished doing the “request tune” for a new device everything was fine and I submitted but realized I put 87 tune and race tune, I don’t know what OCTANE race fuel is. And I don’t know if it is bad for car
87 is cheap grade 92 or 93 is the gas tune you'll wanna use a race fuel is completely different and unless your car is really turned up race fuel will be pointless
i put the 93 race tune on earlier and while i was coming to a stop the car would shift ridiculously hard, is that cause the car is getting used to the tune???
@@RevLine89 thanks so much. So I have a 16 gt, kn cold air, h pipe and I did a muffler delete. I’m not looking to boost anytime in the near future. Do you think this will be adequate even though I hear so much bad? You made a point about the tune running lean? Does that lead to future issues? Thx so much for the help as I really don’t know much, but would like to wake the computer up to more of its potential.
For me I have long tube headers no cats and I'm running the 93 Oct race tune if you go with a bama 93 Oct performance tune you won't have the lean issues and it will still wake your car up :)
Hey man I have a 2007 gt/cs automatic as well. What do you think about the 5r55s trans? I have the bama 93 tune as well. Do you shift manually with it often, some people say it wears it out faster but idk.
yeah i do shift man with it too, honestly i think once you get 150k+ you may want to take it more easy, and if you boost or turbo then you'll be crossing your fingers lol but there are a lot of guys boosted 170k+ miles still stock Trans so really its a coin toss,
Thank you! The smoke is from the tune 😊 the air and fuel within the motor is turned up so when I start the car up when the fuel hits the spark it puts out a little smoke at first😊

wow doesn’t sound like a 6 at all, love the car man it’s clean af!
Thank you!!
Now you're gonna want that tune all the time LOL. Sounded meaner at idle too😎
Have fun💪😁
Yeah I agree lol as little as I drive I'm gonna keep the tune on lol
i love those quad tips
Thanks!
Wow that made a big difference looked like you do have a really nice car live you Brother Scott
After installing the tune, how long does it take for the ecm to adapt to the tune??
Normally about 50ish miles of driving
How much HP you make now after the tune
It's hard to say if it really added up rather then just quicker shifts maybe 10hp
Hey man do you have to redownload the rune after shutting the car off every time?
No once the tune is installed its there until it's unistalled

Does the car need 93 octane gas? Or can regular 87 gas work fine with this tune sorry just the name of the tune messes me up😂
When running a 93 Oct tune you will want to use 93 Oct gas only for best performance
i put the 93 race tune on earlier and while i was coming to a stop the car would shift ridiculously hard, is that cause the car is getting used to the tune???
i know it’s not my transmission cause it started happening after the tune
thats just how the tune is made
@@RevLine89 does it harm it though? or should it be fine
Hey how did you hang your camera like that. Thanks
sadly for this i have it mounted on a box i placed on the back seats
@@RevLine89 thank I appreciate the response. Have a good one
Hi, Just "met" you on your Mom's channel tonight. She is sure a sweet lady. You sure know your car stuff!
Thank you! And thank you for stopping by I'm trying to self teach myself on cars to save money :)
So are you happy with the BAMA? I’ve heard more bad then good. I want to do one, but I’m nervous. Thx
I'm very happy with bama however once I go boosted I won't use them anymore I'll only have my car dyno tuned but for simple mods they woke the car up

How do you shift manually with it?
The automatic trans has a 1st 2nd 3rd and then drive gear and overdrive you can shift the 1st 3 gears manually then you have to shift into Drive
@@josephgalante935 I've done that once I think it fucks your trans
Can you popcorn tune the v6 mustangs
Sadly you can't :/ not the 4.0 v6 anyway
Only the dohc ones
Did u notice a sound difference on the exhaust after the tune?
I did when I went 93 Oct race tune it burns hotter which combusts a little different making exhaust a little louder
Have you used a Dyno yet ?
Not with the race tune installed I'm gonna wait until it's procharged to Dyno it again
