JJ, found your channel and so happy I did. Learning more as I continue to move forward in my menopause/fitness journey. The supplements part of this video you talk about Geranylgeraniol, and creatine can you please share a specific brand that you have found is best. I know many brands claim to do things but not all supplements are created equal. Appreciate your help. Thank you for your awesome videos. ❤

I'm 67 and people are always surprised. I love telling people I'll be 70 in 3 years. I returned to the gym 3 years ago and stopped drinking and started eating a real foods diet. Lost 45 lbs and in some ways I am in the best shape of my life. 33 inch waist 168 lbs. 12 year throat cancer survivor.
@@kathycheng2413 I had 2 surgeries one to remove my tonsils. It's not the same as thyroid, however because I had head and neck radiation that damaged my carotid arteries and my thyroid function that I am now on Levothyroxine for thyroid and Carotids are damaged by scar tissue and inoperable. One is 100% and the other 70 to 90% blocked. I am asymtomatic and could live another 14 years which is why losing weight, exercise, and a keto diet are so important. Cancer feeds on sugar so you want to limit that.

I’m 55 this year, I was made redundant from my job at 51. Was so worried about it at the time, but It gave me an opportunity to study and retrain for the career I now have and I love every single day of going into work. I now need to get myself in better shape, you are giving me inspiration to start taking that seriously. Thank you xx
I’m almost 63 years YOUNG!!!😃😁🥰 I have tried to eat CLEAN EATING for 40+ years. My husband & I just had our 40th Wedding Anniversary!!! My husband has had 38 years of medical problems. Life hasn’t been easy, but I have always tried to think POSITIVE & 🙏 PRAY a LOT!!! It has definitely helped!!! I have thoroughly ENJOYED your videos!!! Thank you so very much for sharing your valuable information!!!😊❤😃
When I was in my 40's, people regularly thought I was 10 years younger than I was. It happened so frequently that when I told someone my age and they didn't seem surprised by my age, I actually felt a little insulted. Then I gained 80lbs and surprisingly people stopped thinking I was 10 years younger.
I'm the opposite. I'm sick and tired of people acting shock when someone, including me, reveals their age just because they are perceived younger. What if we just normalized aging really well and people stop acting like someone's an alien for looking good at a certain age? I would love for that day to come.
Watching from Philippines. I enjoy watching all her videos. For me a secret to being young is to keep things easy, avoid being angry, keep things cool. Watch funny videos or movies, give your time to play or get along with your children or literally play like volleyball or badminton whatever u feel. Don't make your stomach full. Eat more vegetables and fruits. Pray and meditate early in the morning. Jogging, gym or dance with the tune of lambada 😅 or any kind of tune u want wether chacha or boogie. Take fish oil and collagen. Use sunscreen everyday. Drink more water. Good evening. God bless us ❤
I'm 62, have 4 kids and two still in high school. I NEVER have a problem sleeping!!! I also swim every other day, from half hour to an hour. It's tough on the hair, but I've found I'm in better shape now than when I was a runner, ever. I'm trying to lift weights on my off days and working on my diet. I also work in my yard like a farmer. I honestly cannot imagine sprinting or even running now, I just don't trust my knees/ankles. Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for the encouragement! At 62 I’m struggling with thyroid and adrenal issues which creates extreme fatigue. I am on a protocol to heal, and hope to be able to exercise regularly 6 months from now. Reducing the wine was a great decision! I’m doing the same. Keep up the good work!
I will be turning 64 in 2 weeks…I feel like 42. I take care of myself eat healthy- vegetarian. I did the whole 30 diet and lost 12 lbs in 2 months…game changer. … will go on that life style change after 4th of July. I will follow you and I am sure you can give me lots of great advice. So thank you .
Working out but being consistent. You put the time in you can stay fit at any age. I’m 67, size 2, and still wear my clothes from when I was 16. It may sound crazy but also you have 58 muscles in your face and yes being consistent working out your face using your hands again being consistent I swear by. To keep your skin smooth you can dry brush your skin including your face again being consistent. You can start this at any age. It’s all about being consistent and ANYONE can do it with garanteed results…👍
@@nancyracies8824 Hi Nancy, there are many brushes and mitts to dry brush your body and face. If you google dry brushing brushes and mitts for beginners you will find many. And as your skin gets firmer you would then graduate to a more abrasive brush or mitt. It should always feel comfortable to your skin. In my case I went to the most abrasive dry brushing mitt right from the start ONLY because my body was firm from working out and my face was firm because I work out my face. Like I said we have about 58 muscles in our face. Hope this helps to answer your question.
@@happyhealthyatpeace1924 There is so many videos on face exercises you can google on line. I have been working out my face faithfully since I was 42. My body faithfully since I was 32. Face exercises is consistency just like your body. I recommend very highly these two you can google for face exercises. They are “Carol Maggio Face Exercises” and “Carolyn Cleaves Face exercises.” You can ask Carolyn any questions and she will answer back and try to help you. I did an article on her a while back ago. She knows her stuff..👍 If you do contact her, mention that I sent you. Hope this is helpful. Thx, Vicky Waite
Those stars have had all sorts of surgical procedures, facelifts, etc. so we can’t compare ourselves to that. Have you had procedures done? Breast implants? Fillers, Botox?
I took up scuba diving at 58 and i love it. Its oornefba whole new world to me. I also have been lifting weights at least 4 to 5 times a week...feeling good for 64
I’m 36 and just found her channel. I’m on a journey to become the healthiest version of myself possible, including losing 30+ pounds, eating Whole Foods, 150+ grams of protein per day, 100 oz of water daily and continuing with my self-care rituals. I like this content!
I find it very hard to get rid of my belly fat. I am 5’5” and 162 lbs looking to lose some weight and do some strength trying. I am a beginner. I have been wanting to get started. You are inspiring me. Thank you soooo very much!😊🌻
I’m also 5’5… last year at this time I was 162. I’m now down to 145. It’s been a slow process but I changed up a few things. Really cut back and cut out all to most sugars. I try and do 100 squats a day, 10-15 at a time. Can be done just during the tv commercials. Walking more and drinking more water. I could hit it harder and be at my goal weight of 125, but I just haven’t. 😜 But any positive change will make some small good changes. 👍🏻😊
Im turning 66 in September. Aging healthily is like preparing for financial retirement. You must fill the account throughout your life to thrive in the last Chapter. Unfortunately, most people don't know what that means or are unwilling to do it.
I'm 61 and the biggest positive fitness related change for me was getting a Pilates Reformer three years ago. I've been working out since 1984 but I much prefer the Pilates style of working out. My core strength has improved so much over the last three years. My flexibility and mobility have also improved significantly. Back pain is gone. (I also love doing full body HITT workouts.).
Try doing planks to engage all your core muscles & strengthen your back. Cher could plank for 5 minutes when she was 72 (standard, straight line plank). I'm your age, my record is 8 min but I average 4 to 5 min. Planking since 2017. I also walk for hours, do the 'splits' & cartwheels, lift a pair of 8 lb dumbbells to tone my arms, some basic Pilates.@@Daisy-xl4xu
Ok. Now you've got my attention. I believe you have good genes which figures in. But I turned 50 this past week myself and I thought you were younger than me. You are proof you know what you're talking about. Happy birthday!
Great video! Lots of great info. I’m turning 60 (it’s Jeffrey) Karen and I are doing most of these same things. We are really focused on travel and seeing the world! We are living our best lives now!!!
Thanks for this. I'm 54, recently retired, and am on a journey to reinvent myself! P.S. For cardio, have you ever tried a Zumba class? So much fun and you burn a lot of calories!!!
You are doing a lot! lol I’m doing strength training and walking. I’m 65. I dropped cardio because it was keeping me from losing weight. It seems it was over stressing me. Cortisol is real 😮. Since I stopped cardio.. I’m building muscle and sleeping better…. Finally losing weight 😊
Good post. The key is really to avoid toxins, exercise all your life, drink lots of water and eat healthy, and be positive...and genetics too play a role....Have a great day!
I just turned 60 this May. And seeing this random video caught my eye on RUclips! It is exactly what I needed as I’ve noticed a lot of lack of muscle tone and muscle from my arms and legs. I will certainly have to watch more of your videos to help tone and gain muscle. Thank you!💪🏼
You look amazing!!! Ignore the haters. They likely don't look anywhere near as great (or as in shape) whatever their age is. Jealous people can be extremely mean, especially hiding behind cryptic addresses.
When I see your smile, I have to watch your video to see why you're smiling. That could help you get more views and subscribers. I have been very fond of you for years since I read the Virgin Diet book. I never thought you were near 60 until I watched this video. Basically, we need to keep trying and moving forward, and not just sit back waiting to die like so many seniors do. I enjoyed the great ideas in this video, and although I've had many health issues, I will always try to do better. May the Lord bless you and yours, and I look forward to seeing you smile on the next video so I have to watch and learn from it and know why you're smiling.
I just found your videos and plan to listen to all of them. I will be 70 in a couple of days and it's really bothering me. I was suddenly widowed at 32 with 2 babies. I was a fitness instructor and 'health nut' and still am. I'm a lifelong vegetarian and so are my kids. My son owns a gym and coaches skiing. I was skiing bumps on June 1, '23 despite an old knee injury. Unfortunately, I have many old injuries as well as lyme disease. I never met a decent man again and I am getting so depressed. I am lonely and miss sharing my life. I know attitude plays a crucial part in health. I look much younger than my years and always have. My sleep is poor, anxiety high and I'm so tired. I am working on an attitude adjustment. Unless you're designed that way, being single sucks. I don't fit in and tired of trying. Anyway, I didn't mean to go on a rant. I think staying fit and eating well are easy. Being alone and lonely are not. Thank you for all your ideas. I'm always learning and teaching.
I've been studying health and nutrition for decades and many have always thought I was younger than I am but I have certainly felt a decline over the last few years due to loss of friends and family members, esp. my younger brother, parents and most recently my husband of 40 yrs (sudden and unexpected)...so, at 71, I am needing a shift in selfcare and will implement some of these strategies but your routine is expensive and time-consuming as I try to maintain our ranch in California. Sadly, this is unrealistic and out of reach for most of us.
It would be nice if you would list your suppliment and exercise equipment, etc in your notes below. It would help a lot as I'm furiously writing it down and end up having to re-watch several times to get it all. Thanks Really enjoying the information ❤
I'm 60 and following a healthy keto life stylist. Lost 15 pounds already. Once I started following you I change to strengthen routines, and it is definitely working 👌 THANK YOU ❤ for all your educational advice. You are a book of knowledge, specifically for all of us getting to this point in our lives - fyi, I love being 60
I found a sleep tonic on Motivational Doc granted I'm only using part of it but it keeps me sleeping soundly every night. I boil a cup of water put in 1/4 teaspoon ground Ginger and squeeze half of a lemon. I add stevia for sweetness but they recommend honey.
I would love to see a video geared towards a complete workout regime that doesn’t include needing a gym membership or expensive equipment like stair master etc.
Just discovered you. Fantastic information and inspiration. I am 61 and working on building a daily morning exercise routine I can stick to and track. I do stairs in my building, walk outside rapidly then do upper body and mountain climbers out on the porch. Fresh air helps me keep going. I am adding more arms with your arms workout video. Thank you!! I am excited to have a digital friend to go on this journey with.
Good to know as I approach 45! The only thing is alcohol really isn’t recommended anymore in any kind of health focused approach and Dr Amen for sure recommends zero alcohol as well as Dr Huberman who says there are really no benefits to wine. So I follow that advice and yours will be a great addition to add to my life, I already meditate, walk with my dog every day, and do yoga when I can.
@@monicarose2135 yes, and alcohol hurts women the most because of the spike in estrogen and that leads to breast cancer. I’m so puzzled when my friends are sipping wine and talking about how many of their friends are getting breast cancer. Cognitive dissonance for sure.
I am with you, don’t like cardio and yoga. Turning 61 soon. Working on getting stronger too. Will add strength training … thank you! I just found this video 7/8/23.
You do look 10 years younger, being fit and having beautiful hair like you do helps. So many of us end up with thin hair, bald women don’t look young 🤦🏼♀️
wear a wig...soo many natural looking lace wigs. Every woman over 60 shud have a wig. Black women start wearing wigs and weaves at 16. Don't know why you all shy away from them and walk around with bald spots and alopecia. Lace wigs you can shampoo with and not take off for a fortnight until you go to your hair dresser and she'll do it for you along with a nice scalp cleansing and shampoo and then put it back on. Like live a little.
Not true. My cousin is so lovely. She’s 59, very thin hair but her natural blonde color. She’s very fit and lean and has beautiful teeth, and she looks to be more around age 50 versus almost 60. Finding the right hair style for thin hair is more important versus just the thickness 😁
Hormone imbalance doesn't help. At the meantime I've started using Nutrafol and Vegamour. Just after a couple of days, I noticed that my hair has stopped falling. Give it a try!
Thank you for your video. I am 70 and have worked out my whole life, it has served me well. I am also kicking up my strength training as I have gotten older. The heavier weights are super important and I was a former athlete.
I'm 43. I found you yesterday on some podcast. You were the guest. And I'm so glad I did! I've been binge listening to your videos since then. Very informative videos. You motivated me to go back to the gym and build more muscle, so thank you!! ❤
Long history of fibro, then neurological symptoms, neuro attacks. optic nerve damage, hypothyroid and now hypertension :-(. Done it all to try and get better. Settled on anti-inflammatory diet, gf/df, exercise (walking/yoga). Yoga practice for 11 years to rehab from neuro events(all triggered by pharma, sun, vaccine). Also have cold uticaria and sun sensitive now, but no autoimmune diagnosis. Challenged with the hpertension since I'm so sensitive to meds. I also can no longer put weight on my wrists with wrists at 90 degrees. Ortho doc said arthritis likely in one and the other I fractured last summer while hiking and still painful. Fell this winter on daily walk on ice and tore meniscus. I can walk and hike now but can't fully straighten leg. Did PT. So tired of the self care when you keep going backwards in health. I'm 61. Health issues started around age 37. I think folks like us have to find balance with the exercise as I have limited energy. I've done supplements out the yazoo over the years and don't think that is the answer. Though I do take Co10, vitamin D, B complex for MTFHR, vitamin C, motherwort . Was taking carditone for high BP but it's no longer working. Help!
I ditched alcohol period I became actually a functioning alcoholic. I started to look at why I need something to artificially change my mood. I'm exercising again and lost nearly 20lbs so far. I got about 50 to go since I completely let myself go. But onward an upward from here. I am 58 and do not want to live like most Americans who are lethargic and obese. I cringe when I go to the grocery store they have display after display of cakes and cookies and donuts out in front and sugar is pushed like cocaine in my opinion its disgusting. Thank you
I'm so happy to find your channel. You're a few years older than me, so I'm going to take you as a role model. I agree on the importance of sleep. I'm glad you focus so much on nutrition. I'm good at doing light yoga every day because I ache if I don't. I need to get discipline with using my weights to build strength. Thanks for the inspiration.
I found this video so interesting, especially the chat about mitochondria. I have mitochondrial disease, there is no cure for it but the hospital have given me Q10 to help with the muscle aches. I’m 51 and I’ve found since I’ve got into my 50’s mito is really causing me issues. I’ve had a few falls and am really suffering with pain and weakness. Thank you for such a great video and I have subscribed ❤
Thank you for all of the inspo and guidelines. My mindset made a big leap after I found Joe Dispenza's books, and started practicing what he teaches. Now I'm entering a new season, my daughters graduated college in May, and are moving, so I'll be an empty nester and focusing solely on myself for the first time in 38 years. Hi Mirna, I haven't changed my personality per se, but yes, I do think and feel differently to a measurable degree. I've definitely made a big shift in my overall mindset, feel a stronger sense of peace, and gotten closer to our Creator on a higher level. I'm more 'tuned in' to being aware that our Creator's energy makes up every living thing around me, including myself. Now when I think of ministers that have advised, "We need to rise higher", "Go to the next level", "Rise above adversity" I see that more literally. I try to stay in that state of being consciously aware of being aware as much as possible.@@mirna-garcia
Thank you for such an informative video :) I'm only 35 but I've randomly become terrified of ageing this year (before these negative thoughts popped into my mind I always felt like a youthful teenager!) seeing women like yourself thriving with every birthday makes me feel less fearful and nervous about the future.
Love your content JJ! I am really interested in making sure I can build muscle as I recently found out I am subclinical hypothyroid 😥 I've always wondered why putting on muscle seems to be so much easier for other people and now I know! But now you also armed me with supplements to fight back with!
Loved this video. What brand of geranylgeranial do you take? I take Creatine and find it is making a difference in the gym. I am 63 and have decided to embrace retirement by taking the next 2 months to focus on me. I plan to lose these extra pounds I have put on, do more cardio , do more stretching and continue to focus on heavy lifting.

I did Tony Robbins the edge to get off of sugar...and that helped me. I've been off of sugar for about three weeks. Sugar just absolutely devastated me so I really needed to get off and now I feel amazing.
I'm 62 my profile pic is me at my apartment bldg. Most people think I'm 42. I birthed 4 children they are in their 30s and have all paid their homes off already. I have 9 grand children. I have no cellulite or stretch marks I just never got them even after 4 pregnancies. I am very blessed. I work out 6 days a week since I was 24. I take 200 mg. Of magnesium citrate with 1 % milk before bed which lowers my heart rate to the 60's which in turn helps me fall asleep in 10 minutes.
I’m 71 nobody can believe me ! I’ve exercised since 27 , eating well , tons of vitamins, I never go to regular doctors! Natural path doctor all the way ~ and faith in God 🙏🏻

I want to improve myself even more .
You look very healthy and great good for your age. I think people have gotten too accustomed to people with facelifts so much Botox and fillers that they don’t actually know what a more mature woman looks like and how skin and body ages naturally.
Hi, I am 65, happy to find your channel. Would you please explain for women like my age how we can fix our eye vision and get rid of glasses that we need to have them on all the time when we get older. You look so beautiful without glasses.

This is great!! I’m a very happy person, always have been and I keep a positive mind set as much as possible, I was taught that and it’s so important. Menopause really takes a toll on the body unless you are on bioidentical HRT

Wear a swim cap
Thank you for sharing!
Good luck, same age & nagging injuries 🙏
I will be turning 64 in 2 weeks…I feel like 42. I take care of myself eat healthy- vegetarian. I did the whole 30 diet and lost 12 lbs in 2 months…game changer. … will go on that life style change after 4th of July. I will follow you and I am sure you can give me lots of great advice. This is the type of video I’ve been looking for. I’m 54 and ready to get healthy!
Thank you for sharing, Vicky.
Dry brush my face? I am new to these videos so I don't understand and need all the help I can get. I am 57 and my face looks 15 years older
@@nancyracies8824
Hi Nancy, there are many brushes and mitts to dry brush your body and face.
@@happyhealthyatpeace1924
There is so many videos on face exercises you can google
on line.
I have been working out my face faithfully since I was 42. My body faithfully since I was 32.
Face exercises is consistency just like your body.
I recommend very highly these two you can google for face exercises. They are “Carol Maggio Face Exercises” and “Carolyn Cleaves Face exercises.”
You can ask Carolyn any questions and she will answer back and try to help you. I did an article on her a while back ago. She knows her stuff..👍
If you do contact her, mention that I sent you. Hope this is helpful.

Those stars have had all sorts of surgical procedures, facelifts, etc. so we can’t compare ourselves to that. Have you had procedures done? Breast implants? Fillers, Botox?
Her forehead doesn’t move, so I would suspect Botox for sure.

I’m 63. But people think I’m 40. Have lots of energy. Have been going to the gym for many years. I’m vegan!
I turn 60 on Monday, Labor Day! Love this!
But any positive change will make some small good changes. 👍🏻😊
I’m 64 but everyone says I don’t look or act that way! -whatever that means 😂
Thanks for the inspiration JJ! You look great!!
I need to start Pilates. I’m 53 and my back aches. What is a reformer?
Thank you, Molly!
Walking correctly is cardio.
I just count my steps… 10,000 a day. It has been very effective
Thank you!💪🏼
Glad it was helpful! Welcome aboard!
I am in my 30’s and would recommend Pilates! It’s Amazing for the body especially as if ages because works in muscle tone, flexibility and balance ❤
This is the most useful video for aging that I've heard. It's practical and from a woman. Thank you!
Glad you think so! Thanks, Stacy.

Yes, combatting/overcoming the ROUTINE RUT- is a big deal! Fasting is also helpful. Health isn’t free after 40, GOTTA work for it.

You got this! Welcome aboard!
Thank you, Craig!
Thank you for sharing and Happy Birthday! Keep up the amazing work, Susan!
By maintaining a ranch you are probably already doing all of this anyway!
Yes you need leisure time and money to do a lot of things.
I am so sorry for your losses 💗🙏
A ranch in cali sounds amazing ! If you ever want to talk to a random British woman in her 30’s - let me know 🥰
She just stand in her kitchen and talk, and honestly it’s all I need. She sounds like the real thing, I will watch much more videos with her.❤
It would be nice if you would list your suppliment and exercise equipment, etc in your notes below. It would help a lot as I'm furiously writing it down and end up having to re-watch several times to get it all. Thanks

Breast cancer research says alcohol is in fact carcinogenic, yikes
@@monicarose2135 yes, and alcohol hurts women the most because of the spike in estrogen and that leads to breast cancer. I’m so puzzled when my friends are sipping wine and talking about how many of their friends are getting breast cancer. Cognitive dissonance for sure.
I am with you, don’t like cardio and yoga. Turning 61 soon. Working on getting stronger too. Will add strength training … thank you! I just found this video 7/8/23.
Thank you for watching!
@@dellson8274great advice! Been considering this. There’s a weird stigma attached to wigs for us I think.

I'm 61. I've done supplements out the yazoo over the years and don't think that is the answer. Though I do take Co10, vitamin D, B complex for MTFHR, vitamin C, motherwort . Was taking carditone for high BP but it's no longer working. Help!

I’m starting this journey as well. Who do I want to spend my time with and how do I want to live out my third stage.
I lost weight and do strength training . My nervous system is shot to pieces . My husband has ADHD and depression . So it is hard to deal with him . I can’t drink alcohol and I had severe menopause symptoms . I am trying to help myself . I eat mainly clean foods . I also suffered fibromyalgia and I do a lot of walking so I don’t end up getting worse . I am 60 years old and can’t find a job because of my age . When I feel stressed , I do meditation . I want to improve myself even more .
You look very healthy and great good for your age. I think people have gotten too accustomed to people with facelifts so much Botox and fillers that they don’t actually know what a more mature woman looks like and how skin and body ages naturally.

You look fabulous JJ. I’m 70 and when engaged in casual conversation with strangers and age comes into focus they stop short of accusing me of not telling the truth as they usually guess my age at 50. That said I could stand to lose 5 lbs. I cheat by heritage 😀olive skin and not a single wrinkle, in my mind I LIKE to think of myself with my 25 inch waist I had for most of my life - yes I’m stuck but to your point positive thinking. I’d say the first step towards having a positive attitude about aging is eliminating the very negative term “anti-aging” from your vocabulary.
I've learned that the HIT and Sprint helps to reduce visceral fat.
I took the right creatine and I’m under 40 and healthy and within a month I was getting water retention edema. I stopped it and it went away. I was taking only half a serving a few times a week too. I’m 63 inch tall and average bmi.
I'm 64.5 I went thru alot of stress...high cortisol and hormones left the building...list all my muscle and gained 30lbs...I have shoulder issues and major prolaoses that always seem to derail me a couple of weeks into a new routine trying wise...and suggestions, I really need to build my muscle back
Eat beans (provided you don’t have kidney disease) to remove excess hormones from your body . Hormones never leave the body unless they can be excreted from the body by binding to something that prevents reabsorption in the GI tract.
