Haha this is great! I watched Michael's perspective on OnSpotTV, and as soon as I saw Japan going for great writer points early, I figured it was you! Finally you can greed and sim in a corner while the rest of the map irrel fights lmao
Yeah, I moved into a new apartment and wasn't able to adjust my audio setup yet. With tournament rules disallowing streamers from reading Twitch chat, I didn't realize there were audio issues during the game. The microphone gate issue won't be present in the next video on this channel
Recently found your channel and I've really enjoyed it so far! I've been making my way through your shorter videos and really enjoy your content even though I don't even play multiplayer. The Andrew scouting drama video was great and I've never been so involved/interested in the civ6 multiplayer scene until your video.
1:28:11 Dear Uranus, I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out regarding the current situation within our shared Civilization VI campaign. As you know, the fluidity and strategic progression of our turns are pivotal to the success of our individual and collective efforts. It has come to my attention that your scout unit is currently positioned in an area where movement may be advantageous.
If I may, I kindly request that you consider moving your scout until during this turn, allowing for increased exploration and a clearer assessment of the surrounding terrain. A strategic relocation of your scout could not only provide valuable intelligence on nearby resources or potential threats but may also aid in mapping out territories for future expansion or alliances.
Your prompt action would be most appreciated, as it would contribute greatly to maintaining the momentum of collaborative spirit of our game. I understand that careful deliberation is crucial, and I am confident that any decision you make will be in line with the tactical interests of our civilization. Thank you very much for you attention to this matter. I look forward to seeing your expert maneuvering on the field. Warm regards, Herson
Yeah, if people are concerned with herson cheating in this game the scouting is the least of their concerns. Absolutely bananas good luck with almost every aspect of the early game. The trader hut one turn before buying a trader and games and rec boosts sent me.
What was cree doing this whole game? I see his military strenght was almost always around 1k but his science and culture didn't progress almost at all.
Herson, have you considered using shortkeys to accelerate the finish of a turn, like T for tech tree opening? Or is it impossible to have shortkeys in CPL games?
@@riseagainstthemachine6079 City states are not always on the border but it usually puts them there. BBS (better balanced starts) places players first and then city states after while doing everything possible in order to ensure a minimum distance between every player's settler spawn as well as city states. It's this minimum distance rule that typically shunts city states into the edges of the map but if the map spawns with enough space, there can be some internally placed city states.
BBM, not BBG, changes spawn behavior, it ll enforce civ biaises spawns (russia ll go in tundra for example) and ensures min distance between players and CS. But in this case this is just luck.
Is there a reason for not getting 2 more settlers out in this spot? I feel like he could've gotten a settle to the right of ayu and to the right on the lake next to nagano. They woundn't be amazing cities but could've gotten some districts down no? And I thought he would kill akad after a little
at 2:26:16 you commented in the in-game chat that you were being "Irelled", which is a term I'm unfamiliar with and google didn't help. What's the context/meaning of that?
"Irrel" in the context of Civ means to be made irrelevant to the outcome of the game, referring to a player who has fallen to far behind to have any impact on who will win. When I say that I'm being "irreled", I'm joking that the world congress's decision to block purple city states has so gravely damaged my empire as to make me irrelevant (even though this is obviously untrue).
What the person above said, but what's noteworthy is that in FFA games almost every war before renaissance era units is basically an irrel war with very few exceptions. This is because this is a game about snowballing, and expending resources on war instead of critical early game and mid game infrastructure will set you impossibly far behind no matter how successful your war is.
bro... at this point, you literally work in secret at the civ game studio and made an patch so everytime you play, you would get a god spawn. THERE IS NO OTHER EXPLANATION! haha just kidding, really nice spawn tho

Herson played a game of CIV as China and it gave him Covid.
Probably obese.
long covid strikes again

I think he said something about allergies in one of his vids with them being more or less severe depending on the season.

I’m just a casual viewer but Does work ethic stack with the holy site adjacency card? There was a good amount of the game you didn’t have the card in.
I believe in BBG it’s just the intrinsic faith adjacency. Policy card mainly used to fuel monumentality
BBG changes how Work Ethic works to similar to Choral Music. It is not based off of adjacencies.
In BBG it changes it but in the base game that works.
@@mrbtiger4838 I had been wondering why he didn't have it in over base prod

Yes. City states are in the borders for example.
