I’ve got a severe lower back and hamstring injury at the moment. The doctor told me no weights for a month so I’ve just been hitting push ups every day for a month. I do between 300-350. Really appreciate this video! I do push ups daily usually before work. I also, have incorporated push ups into my home workouts with weights. All the best!!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO!! I started 2020 doing 30 pushups a day and the plan was to go for 90 days. First 2 weeks it was hard, but once I was over the 2 week hump, I made it through the 30 days and did 60 pushups for month 2. I have been doing 60 pushups everyday since Jan1 2020 and for the first time today I was able to do 60 straight pushups. My goal is to do 100 straight pushups by the end of the year.....Thanks for the video!
You will achieve your goal by the end of the year! I don't think Nick talked about this in video but mixing up your push-ups will help define your upper body. Try and switch up and do 3 sets...normal push-ups, then wide arm push-ups with your arms spread out wider than your shoulders, then do "diamond" or close arm push-ups. This will define your upper body better. Also, implement some incline push-ups with your feet on a chair. By switching up your push-up exercise you will build good definition and will have no problem doing the 100 push-up goal. Good luck!
Joined the military 35 years ago and, wile I can’t say I do 100 push-ups a day, they are a major part of my strength and shoulder flexibility program. Due to wear and tear I now do long pause reps of 10 pushups that take over a minute. Time under tension vs numbers. Nice job and thank you for your service, Brother!
Wow! Nick...what a great example you are for not only fitness and personal accountability but also being a great American. I am a product of ROTC serving as an Army Field Artillery Officer. Thanks for your service bro.
My brother gave me a great way to get started on push ups since I've never done them. He said to start by doing 10 after you go to the bathroom every time. Before I knew it, I was able to do consistent push-ups. By the end of a day, I was doing 60-100 push ups every day. It was a good way to get going and not feel overloaded about it.
I started working out seriously (however didnt actually start lifting weights till 17) when I was 12 , I was fat and short as a child then I started doing push ups ,ab exercises, running and eventually was able to build up enough strength to do pull ups, chin ups and even one hand pull ups .Within a year I built a very lean muscular physique kinda like yours. All it takes is determination and time to achieve a aesthetic buff look.
It’s not clickbait. He talks about the reason why he does them, the benefits to them, and how to basically motivate yourself to fall in love with fitness. The before and after picture isn’t explaining how daily pushups made him look that way, it’s more about how the start of the pushups lead him to greater and better things. Jeez people. Yeah I've occasionally had shoulder or wrist pain that gets in the way of doing this everyday. Still as long as you do them regularly and hit the gym 2-3 times a week for safe resistance training you're pretty much guaranteed to make progress (assuming diet and recovery is on point)

Don’t sell yourself short. You “can only do about 20”....IN ONE SESSION. Plenty of day left!!! I don’t know you but I would be willing to bet, if you tried, you could do 100 “in a day”. In the Army on the APFT, we go to “almost failure”, then 10, then 5, then 3, etc... and that is in a 2 min session. You have 24hrs to break it up. Too easy!!! Just gotta WANT IT BAD ENOUGH! Think about it, simply drop and do 10 an hour at work. Eight hours later you only need 20 more. Just break it up. Down the road it will all come together in one session. Good luck man.
Although we say push up, there are many factor to how a push up will increase or decrease it's intensity. I can do 500 squats, but I am struggling with just 5 push ups. My point is, we build differently , also how you do the push ups will determine how much you can do. If you see 100 push up as a goal, I would say go for it and see if you can accomplish something beyond the imagination, and it's good. If you are trying to implant this into a life time thing ,learn more on how to train healthy and develop the whole body, this is more important than just pushing reps with just 1 exercise. Learn more about how your body is built.

Good luck!
Hint: wide-arm push ups are easy. I'd like to see him do 2 minutes of diamond push ups.
Very motivational I appreciate the dedication keep up the great work dude you’re awesome
If I know I can't do 100 in one go I like to 5 sets of 20. Sometimes I'll just do 50 8 counts to get a 100 in and then I might do 100 regular push-ups
Love the video Nick!! Push ups is something I struggle with but I'm working at it. Keep up the great videos.
Perform tricep and rear - delt isolation exercises more often and eventually you'll get better at push ups
Starting my 100 pushups tomorrow. Thank you as a fellow soldier for the inspiration brother!
u better be doing those pushups
@@garystyles1857 Oh I am
i did zero push-ups for 5 years and I have to admit... I feel great.
It absolutely BLOWS MY MIND to think that this dude is 28-29 and Cody Ko is the same age if not a little older. Nick looks like he’s 35.
ON IT! LOVE IT! THANKS for the inspiration Nick!
Way to go!! Awesome bro!!
I just noticed you got that lip packed lol
I remember you doing push-ups and dips almost every night using the MRE boxes at gunnery in Korea
You're just 28😳😳😳.... I need to get my shit together real quick
I always feel that way when I see someone my age successful.
Omg I thought he was 35-37 bc he’s done so much
He looks like 34-35, military makes you mature quickly, and women just get attracted to this guy's by saying they are real men
I started at 17 I’m 19 now
Jeff would like to have a word
i know, right?
i know, right?
I started working out seriously (however didnt actually start lifting weights till 17) when I was 12 , I was fat and short as a child then I started doing push ups ,ab exercises, running and eventually was able to build up enough strength to do pull ups, chin ups and even one hand pull ups .Within a year I built a very lean muscular physique kinda like yours. All it takes is determination and time to achieve a aesthetic buff look.
What’s the most pushups you’ve done for the apft test?
I did 91 but I really wouldn't have givin myself as much credit as the cadre did that day lol
Drink some strong greens.
wow. I loved this video. Having indepth understanding of how the body works makes me want to work out more. great informative video.
By the way, wide-arm push ups are easy. I'd like to see how many diamond push ups he could do.
So this is what Dave England from Jackass is up to now! Nice one Dave
Now imagine if you also did 100 squats,100 sit ups and a 10km run on top of that
Awesome explanation! Good to hear that real experience.
I did one hundred days straight left arm faps and I can now smash bottles with my hand
You're not supposed to lift your arms. Naughty lol

HI NICK - am proud of you buddy AM 60 and doing 100 push ups - regular - little hard ( spider/ staggered / one arm etc) but one in 1 shot but 20 at a time hope to make it a habbit
Nick the type of guy to shoot his kneecaps off before a ruck march because it’s too easy
His dad starts doing 1000 push ups and Nick starts doing 1000 pushups every day for 100 years and makes a video
I'm just gonna bust your chops; you were struggling there son for doing 100 push-ups everyday for 10 years! I thought you were going to do 100 push-ups in a row. Do that!!! and that's major props! Even more than saying you do 100 push-ups everyday.
Hi Nick! I'm really curious who edits your videos? It's really good! :D
You should do a video of you doing the ACFT
He is 28 and looks like 34 a mature alpha hunk, and am 26 looks like 18 year old nerd..... That's the diffrence of 100 push ups a day for ten years
anyone else experience tendinitis in the elbow? I've been doing 100 pushups daily for the last 4 years, and some days my elbows hurt way too much from it.
Need to massage your forearms. Look in to becoming a supple leopard a Kelly starlett book
I would really love to do daily push ups because I cannot exist without them, but I need 1 or 2 days off because of joints pain
Yeah I've occasionally had shoulder or wrist pain that gets in the way of doing this everyday. Still as long as you do them regularly and hit the gym 2-3 times a week for safe resistance training you're pretty much guaranteed to make progress (assuming diet and recovery is on point)
You’re a tank maaannn
Bro plz do 1 pushup daily for 89 years
lol the title then proceeds to explain not every day
I do all
Calisthenics, about 350/400 pushups.. I do wide, close and diamond sets, I do pull up and chin ups 100 sets of ten, 50 each, I do 100 dips.. sets of 20, and i do arms with 15
On dumbbells , sets of 25 curls and hammer curls , and I’ll do triceps.. after that I’ll
Go
For a
2-7 mile jog depending on how I feel
Becuase I’m a commercial
Plumber, I find the harder I work
Out the farther I run and the better I feel in the morning.. I also stretch after every set legs arms and back..
I also do other excercises
With 10-15-20 lb dumbbells so I don’t get bored of work
Out and I’ll do either burn outs with
Low reps
Or
Train to fail.. I love it.. add alittle
Creatine.. and eat .. I feel great and confidence is thru the roof..
I’ve
Always worked
Out,
Just started the running alittle
Over
A
Month ago.. the first day was onl 1/2 a mile
And it was rough.. now
I’m
Up to 7 miles alittle
Over 11k
My
Goal is to
Do 10 miles
Straight , the a half
Marathon
And the. A full
Marathon before
I’m
40 I turn 39
In 5 days..
As far as my work
Out I takes
Me about 35-40
Minutes
I burn
Thru it with
Good
Form
But I hardly get 30-40secs rest between each set .. the seven
Miles
I run in 1 hour and 10
Minutes .
I guess people don’t watch videos before they comment.
Every morning while I’m brushing my teeth I do leg kick backs-it’s great for us ladies who want to build a butty lol
Thanks for the video Nick it I'm gonna work up to 100 push ups cause I can only do about 20
Don’t sell yourself short.
It really depends how your form is.
Learn more about how your body is built.

i know this vid is old but just thought it was weird that my dad did the same thing. 100 push ups in the kitchen in the morning. training for the army
Wow, your dad's so cool!
Lmao, seriously with the thumbnail?
Why not, I'll join the daily hundred club.
dustyroad was thinking the exact same thing just now!
I did too until my back spazzed out after a month of doing push ups everyday during quarantine 😂😂 can’t lose the gainz!
Your form was probably bad
When I was younger I did 105 without those breaks where balance is on the feet. Breaks sure, but only on straight arms, no pulling back. I was light back then though 180/72. And we didn't time it. I could do something like 70 in a minute
Really good video. Very informative. I’m going to start my push-up journey today on Fathers Day at age 55! Let’s party!!!😃👍🏻💪🏻
In the army I received honor graduate upon that I did 136 sit ups and 92 push-ups in 2 minutes...Excellent video brah....you know you also weigh a lot more than my 165 at the time for you to do 90 now is frickn manchildesque..awesome “correct pushups”
Nick is always killing g it
Wow Nick, that is very admirable and I applaud your efforts and dedication!
For the past 373 days I have consecutively done 50 push ups every single day, however, I am now at a crossroads and not sure if I want to continue on this way.
Today I got reminded of a famous quote by Einstein: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results".
Hence why I have watched this video today; I'm not sure anymore if doing the daily 50 is in line with my goals and whether it provides the benefit I originally imagined. I feel a little bit like a hamster stuck in a wheel that has been used to the habit.
I want to be able to challenge my body in different ways and variations of exercises (progressing to a one arm push up and a one arm handstand push up eventually) without just mindlessly doing the same thing over and over again just out of habit and using it as a crutch to justify not being able to complete proper workouts since the daily pushups unfortunately interfere with the daily recovery. I feel like my body hasn't had a proper rest for so long since every single day I had to complete this physical contract I've made with myself.
Daily habits are nothing new to me since I have consecutively done 985 days (and going) of cold showers; 50 squats for the past 794 days; 5 pull ups for the past 149 days just to name a few. The habits mentioned I enjoy doing and find beneficial, even though there might come a day that I will re-evaluate them also.
It's a bit of a tough emotional dilemma to stop doing a habit (such as 50 push ups a day) as I write this today, especially when you have done something for so long, day in and day out consecutively. However I believe you also have to listen to your body and mind and sometime adopt the "less is more approach" or "do it differently" especially if you want to progress as a human being.
Thank for reading this far. Whoever you are, I'd love to hear your story or input.
All the best from Western Australia!
Maybe you should try breaking down your sets into different variations of push-ups such as 20 regular push-ups 20 Archer push-ups 20 diamonds 20 pike press push ups 20 explosive push-ups which eventually ends up being a 100
Maybe pushups every other day and hit the gym for a proper workout 2-3 times a week. There's little chance you'll plateau then.
I'm 24 and have always sucked at Push Ups/Calisthenic workouts. Most push ups I've ever done at one time was 25.
Just keep pushing guy. 🇺🇸💪
Lol I almost started running when I heard that siren

Every week. Joke mate, your bodyweight is like 2 pounds. But glad you have fitness as a priority in life. Keep it up and who knows you could double my amount every day which is about 800. Keep it up my BOIII
