Hello, i have a question. Would you say it's good to push to faillurs then switch to same type of exercices but at a begginer level and push to faillurs again ?
I was taught recently to not flail my elbows out while doing push-ups. When I tried this, I felt alot more tension on my arms than my chest. Should I split the difference and flail a little bit to have a better chest workout
Jeff, this whole concept of arm position in relation to the body to hit all three sections of the Pec blew my mind! I have great lower and mid development, but my upper pecs suck. After watching this video yesterday, I have input some "Knee pushaways," and "Prowler Push ups" in my workout last night. I cannot believe the difference these movements made on my pump and after-workout soreness, haha. I love your videos, because they make so much sense scientifically, even though they fly in the face of many of the bodybuilding theories of the 80's which was when I first got started with weight training. My Dad is 71 years old and I have been telling him to check out your videos for months now. @@DripSmooveplays_fortnite the muscle growth happens at the maximum stimulation on the muscle . Push ups have a lot of stimulus on triceps and shoulders too so chest isn’t targeted as well . Also , they are just too easy to effectively train for muscle growth . yeah, the proper form of pushups is to keep the elbow pointing only a bit outwards from your back, if your elbow is making almost if not a whole 90 grade form with your back then you are doing it wrong more basic explanation: the proper form is making an arrow shape with your body and elbow, an unproper form would be making a T shape with your body and elbow
@@madzhacker1989 well, the arms will always be involved even if u use the most on spot form, since theres no way to force the muscles on the arm to a full stop, what you CAN do to target the chest the most, is: 1- what i said in my previous comment 2- lock your shoulders behind, basically proper shoulder posture, where u bring ur entire arms (from shoulder and below, not bicep and below) back and down, that uses the chest even more 3- focus on keeping the entire chest consciously flexed in the entire movement, if u dont get it right first time dont worry, its a matter of time and practice to get used to it

This routine is epic!! Just smashed a chest workout with no equipment needed. Thanks jeff👍
Me : How much time i have to rest?
Jeff : Enough to breathe
First exercise 2:58 / 3:12* ... rest 4:24 / 4:39 … second exercise 5:12 / 5:23* … rest 4:24 / 4:39 ... third exercise 6:38* / 6:56* … rest 4:24 / 4:39 ... fourth exercise 8:32* ... rest 4:24 / 4:39 ... fifth exercise 9:36 / 10:13* ... 3-5 minute break repeat 1-2 more times
Are you supposed to do this every day?
Championare I wouldn’t sorry for late response I’d do it once every 2-3 days if you really want but there’s a lot of ways to mix things up and get more growth
@@MassacreDLO Gotcha! Thanks for the response.
Championare no problem
Championare also make sure to do back aswell don’t just do push ups that leads to bad posture and potentially rotator cuff issues
Jeff is the most honest trainer on RUclips
Thank you so much! For the first time I can actually feel my chest burning in these workouts!

This comment is the real MVP.
I’ve been in the Army for 13 years, we have never specifically targeted the different areas of the chest like this. Thanks for taking the time to make this. I incorporate these into my push days! Still on Intermediate level by the way 🤣
It's the Army, what did you expect?
DBA Lack of training, really. Even at Master Fitness Trainer we didn’t emphasize the different areas through these techniques.
This video was perfect before bedtime; made me so exhausted watching him do all those exercises I got tired and slept like a newborn baby after drinking a whole bottle of milk.
Actually this made me excited to try but also annoyed cus ik I'm ganna frustrated doing it wrong haha
Love the video Jeff. This sort of series is really helpful, would love to see more!
This guy knows his stuff and has the proof.
I appreciate the through detailed definition and clearly explained options . You're a great teacher Thank you. The videos you produce are part of my workout plan.

Good
Just performed my frist set while watching this video and damn. Doing higher rep push ups on my kunkels or flat handed got nothing on this. I felt the burn alot faster and with the variation my whole chest burns. Great video.
Jeff doesn't do a push-up,
He benches the earth.
Kindly make a push pull leg split workout plan (what workouts per day) for intermediate (minimum 6 months weight lifting). Thank you so much! ❤️
I'm a scaffold builder so honestly this man is going to make my job far easier. Literally my job consists mostly of picking up larger weights over my head and chest power comes straight in handy lol.
I always feel like my arms are failing before my chest does...
Wor ur shoulders out
Last time I was this early I internally rotated my shoulders
God forbid you do that again
How are you still alive 😮
Lmfao
You've done it now boy. Jeff Cavaliere AthleanXdotcom will come for you
You're already dead.
I was literally about to sleep and I was thinking about how to workout my chest tomorrow. I guess I know what I’m doing tomorrow
@Ausla Davis that's not really true.
@Ausla Davis not true actually
@Ausla Davis lol I can guarantee I'm bigger than you.
@Ausla Davis im waiting im here eating popcorn

i learn so much watching your video's
Jeff isn't doing push-ups
he's benching the earth
Nice
Problem: Your triceps has to be strong enough for the exercices.
Jesse's got no time for this video as he's doing his new intro rn.

AthleanX and Calisthenic Movements:The only people I trust.
That Brock Shuffle push-up was the sexiest thing I’ve seen in a while.
Level three seems impossible for me. I’m definitely doing that!
When I turn my hands out a little bit instead of facing them slightly in, I’ve felt this much more in my chest compared to triceps/shoulders. Just thought this might be helpful to someone 👍👍
yeah, the proper form of pushups is to keep the elbow pointing only a bit outwards from your back, if your elbow is making almost if not a whole 90 grade form with your back then you are doing it wrong
more basic explanation: the proper form is making an arrow shape with your body and elbow, an unproper form would be making a T shape with your body and elbow
@@thisismakneto2296 I would like to know if I'm doing these incorrectly since I'm feeling pain in my arms rather than my chest
@@madzhacker1989 well, the arms will always be involved even if u use the most on spot form, since theres no way to force the muscles on the arm to a full stop, what you CAN do to target the chest the most, is:
1- what i said in my previous comment
2- lock your shoulders behind, basically proper shoulder posture, where u bring ur entire arms (from shoulder and below, not bicep and below) back and down, that uses the chest even more
3- focus on keeping the entire chest consciously flexed in the entire movement, if u dont get it right first time dont worry, its a matter of time and practice to get used to it

Almost 63 year old M here. Decent shape. did the St. Judes 3000 push up challenge for the month of May. Ended up doing 3115, so averaged lil over 100 a day. Broke em up in various numbered sets throughout the day. Feel Great, so great that Im set on hitting that number or more in June. Always liked pushups. BUT this video is a keeper, and I'm going to really switch things up and try this. Feel and look great now..can only imagine the results after a month of the intermediate.
The sun is shining, it's my day off work and I lost the giveaway....all is right with the world
For every like I will do a push up 😅
I am out of shape and even the beginner push ups are a burner’. Thanks Jeff!
Jeff is the best teacher I’ve ever listened to easily. Legend.
