Favorite video so far. My wife and I own a CrossFit gym and our kids are at the gym every day with us seeing us work hard seeing us prioritize getting our workouts in. Faith, family, fitness. It’s 4:40 AM as I just arrived at my gym, listening to this as I open the doors and get ready for the day of changing peoples lives. Thanks for reminding me that the discipline of working out every day doing whatever it takes is worth it.
Love this man! I'm 46 and a runner. Married and we have 3 boys. My oldest plays competitive soccer and finished his first season of Cross Country, our middle does flag football and our youngest plays soccer. Our house can be non-stop especially with all the sports going on. I trained for my first 50K Ultra this last fall and finished 4th place! Every day is busy in our house but I am out running and getting in my miles. During training I leave my schedule out so my boys can see what I'm running for the day and they see me putting in the work to acheive my goals. Sometimes I'm up at 4 am to run 20 miles so I can get my son to his game at 9 am and in the Minnesota cold winters, I'm out running when it's 5 degrees. They notice me working hard and I want to lead by my examples for them to work hard, set goals and create a path to acheive them.
I have a baby due in Spring 2025, and my buddy/physical therapist advised me to get in the best shape of my life before the baby arrives. And to try to hold onto that fitness forever. Running my first marathon in Tucson this weekend, put 600 miles on my feet in 4 months to get ready...getting ready to be a dad. Also, joined a weekly Men's group to maintain that mental/emotional fitness.
I trained for 2 year in the gym. The last 9 months was my partners pregnancy. I was going to fast food places, getting her, her cravings and taking them back for her. Smelling it in the car!! All whilst on a cut. Going back and having protein, rice, greens. I fell off for about 6 months when my baby arrived and I regret it. But at the same time it’s helped me find endurance sport. So I wouldn’t change it. Your therapists advice is GREAT advice!
Good stuff brother, mine is 2 months old and I held on to the same mindset before baby was born. I'm barely getting back on my feet (or attempting/taking it more serious), but let me tell you.. nothing can prepare you to be a father no matter how good of a shape you are, how put together your mindset it, how many baby courses/lectures you do etc. Being a father is the toughest experience I've encountered yet. It's such a rewarding experience and its amazing seeing the little one grow & bond with you and your wife, but remember, 1 day at a time. You got this champ, get ready to get your ass kicked like never before and make sure you MAN TF UP on the days where you ain't feeling and be there for your spouse and child!
Love this style of video with the podcast topic mixed into the training footage. Also as a dad struggling to just keep up with my fitness this was what I needed to hear today.
I ran 3 miles last week, the longest I’ve ever run at a single time. Did it in about 28 minutes. I’m just now getting into running so I will def improve my time! But watching your channel always motivates me to hit workouts and runs hard 🔥
Love it! Watching this this morning I realized that while there has been some moments over the last 15ish yrs of bodyweight training, where my commitment to it has fluctuated, that in fact my stubborn need to workout and move has kept me sane, driven, focused, and faithful. 28 yrs old, married, 2yr old daughter, second kiddo coming in 5wks or so. Life is a CHALLENGE TRUST ME, I'm not where I want to be YET, but my family sees me work for it everyday. Movement is the magic medicine my friends.
Couldn’t agree with you guys more! I’m a 38 year old mom of 2 (9 and 4 year old girls) and they know, I have to get my fitness in every day as a part of my day’s routine. We set up a play area in our shop so they can “work out” too. You just have to show them health and fitness is a priority and even include them when possible! It’s so Important to be a role model for you kids with health and fitness!! Thanks for sharing guys!
Have a 2 year old with another coming in a month. Both boys. I used to workout for me, to be big and strong. Then I became law enforcement, so I worked out for me, AND that, the community, my team, safety. Since having 2 boys (soon to have) I workout for them and my family. Being the best example, protector and version of myself is necessary EVERY day. Not some days or most days. My son sees everything I do. If only the rest of men, le, america…and dads thought the same. For those that do, keep pushing. Good men will become the majority again.
I came up with the name hybriddad watching your hybrid training, the dad being added to it was because I’m a full time father, I take my kids to school everyday and I have a 1 year old. Working out for me is more to show them it doesn’t matter how old I am or what happens in life, you must take care of yourself. Truly appreciate what you do, training for my next marathon now, 1 day I will meet you and we’ll take a picture. God bless you and your family 💪🏿🙌🏿
I really liked the format of this. Splitting up the podcast chat with different stuff. Also the content was spot on what I needed to hear. Thanks for sharing.
Yes you guys are rock! Don’t forget, even more important than fitness is a walk with God. A strong walk and relationship with God will fill that void that is as men are always trying to fill. God, family, mental and physical health ❤❤❤ Love it!
Thank you BPN team for this video. The edits are beyond phenomenal. Not only that, but the conversation between two hardworking fathers, made this video an amazing watch.
I won't lie I was pretty burnt out on some of the latest vlogs on this channel. This one totally made up for it! I don't need/want to see 15 mins of gym footage, that's boring. But the conversations and motivation from words well spoken, mixed with a little workout stuff, hit perfectly 👌🏼
my biggest thing is as a boxer it does get hard to train everyday. Even if its running, especially since I work 12 hours a day and dont get home till 730pm est and those days it hard to want to lace up my shoes and go out to run or lift and the days im off I'm Training 2 hours in the boxing gym. and now as a new father I want my son to be proud and know that his dad makes time for my fitness and health and I make time for him and my wife. All I can say is these are the types of men and father I'd want to train with and be around cause this is the environment that grows values and motivation. Best video I've watch from BPN and I've been watching for 3 plus years.
Great vid guys, I completely agree with everything you said in the video about the importance of fitness being balanced with family life. Although I've not got kids yet, this will definitely be something I'll remember for when I do
Nick video is always inspiring!!! I volunteered on my first Hyrox event in Anaheim CA over the weekend and spotted a couple of gentlemen with the Go One More hats. I love the slogan and that the words are out there inspiring people Nick!!! Keep it up man.
I took running more seriously due to your inspiration. What caught me the most was that you have a family and still make it work. I still go for the run and lift the weights. (Dr. Dre - Still D.R.E. ft. Snoop Dogg)
This video couldn’t come at a better time. My wife and I just had our first successful IVF treatment and we’re expecting our baby Summer 2025. I can’t wait to be a dad. Such a privilege. I will not let my future kids down.
Minute 15 is exactly how I feel and why I’m training for my first 100 miler next October, my daughter has cystic fibrosis and I want her to see strength and the ability to endure because I’ve never seen that with my parents God Family Fitness
My children are grown and probably close to your age. I ran the Skidaway island marathon with my two sons last year. Well at least we started together and then they crushed me. All three of my children are still very active running and cycling. I'm not really sure how I pulled this off other than being an example and creating fun family adventures from an early age. I'm so thankful for cross country coaches and mountain bike events. I'm thankful my children enjoy endurance events.
They say if you turn your passion into your career, you’ll never work a day in your life. That wasn’t my experience. I loved fitness and swimming and the process of it all, just all of it. Post military, the absolute last thing I want to do is run, swim, or lift. My knees are bone on bone, shoulders sound like a bag of rocks, and 2 or 3 days a week my neck feels like a railroad tie is being hammered into it. I wonder where my fitness would be if it was still just something I loved, not part of a job description.
I really like the content of this channel, and I think this a very important topic on this video and we all should prioritize our fitness as much as we can, but I just didn’t understand why they all address to man at all time. This content should be applied to anyone no matter which gender! You can be a mother and be a leader, doesn’t matter if you’re a single mother or if you have a partner, independent of the gender of your partner, you can be a leader and you should also try to be as fit as you can!
Im not perfect , but I reflect on how I can be better. If we all thought like this and dropped our egos we’d actually give ourselves a shot on growth as a family or individuals.
Nick your a good man father and husband brother keep up your great work and keep everything together keep the good work on posting your RUclips channel videos I’m watching your RUclips channel I’ve been watching your RUclips channel for a little over a year or so ❤😊
5 days a week I get up at 3:45 to be at work by 5. Get out at 6 and home by 7. Spending time with family, eating, and getting enough sleep is pretty much all I have time for. Working out can be hard for some of us. But I applaud yall. I'll find my time some day and get there 💪🏼
I don't have the restrictions you do time wise. But I coach CF and have helped a few friends with their fitness and many of them are similarly busy The 3-4 guys I've had the most success with , we started with 15 minutes a day. Planning out and finding 15 minutes workouts they could do with little set up. Two of them were able to do some of the workouts with their families a couple times a week. One guy made 30m of their family time a walk/run sport all together with their family. Just some ideas. Hope you can find a setup that works for you
@ yeah i need to try and make it a family thing too. Just got 3 and a toddler. Other 3 are in sports as well. So we'll make it work one day. Thanks man!
At one point in time all of us were watching "how to get six pack abs at home" "Here is the 300 spartan secret workout" videos on youtube and had no idea about nutrition, sets per week, exercise and above all, Trenbolone acetate. Amazing to see where we all have arrived at youtube.
nick i love ur content, its hard to do what you do and i strive to do it one day. if you have any advice for discipline as a 16 year old overweight but working out that would be amazing. GO ONE MORE!

Make sure you help with the baby so the mum who's body get totally taken over and ruined by a baby can keep healthy too

There is always time but it’s not a priority for everyone which is fine, each to their own- no judgement from me.
You and me both! On top of that I’m usually eating and working when with the family. Tough out here!! Stay in the fight!!

This is a great video, I would argue that the base layer and most important aspect of the family unit is God and His guidance.
At one point in time all of us were watching "how to get six pack abs at home" "Here is the 300 spartan secret workout" videos on youtube and had no idea about nutrition, sets per week, exercise and above all, Trenbolone acetate. Amazing to see where we all have arrived at youtube.
Great conversation.
Hope everyone owns their week. Yesterday was a recovery day but we’re getting active this evening
This was incredible
Phenomenal vid
