As a viewer I don’t think I’ve felt this melancholic since the last episode of Only Fools and Horses, although that sitcom had run its course and reading through all of the heartfelt comments from the wonderful community that you’ve built up seems like you’re doing a Fawlty Towers on us and leaving us all wanting a lot more. It’s been a privilege to share your journey over the past few years and like so many others i’ve learned a great deal from your relaxed, friendly, uplifting, non-commercialised, and extremely well-constructed videos. There’s a knack in presenting the mundane tasks as interesting, and you carried them all off with aplomb. Your plot has become an extension of my own little growing area and your regular updates on all of the weekly tasks acted as a timely reminder. A number of crop varieties that i grow now are a direct result of your experiences with them, and every House tomato that i hopefully harvest and enjoy this summer will undoubtedly bring back fond memories of your postings. For once, you will leave a big hole that even your Chillington hoe won’t be able to fill. Here's very much hoping that there will be the odd Christmas Special from you at some point in the future, if and when the creative urge returns…..‘Only Raspberry Fools and Horse Manure’ seems an apt title, perhaps. I can only imagine how many hours it takes youtubers to put together a video, so thank you for all of the time and effort on your part, and for keeping me sane throughout these testing global times for us all. Oh my, I wasn't expecting that!! I joined you just over 2 years ago and fell in love with the way you garden, your lovely soothing voice videos but most of all picking up all your fabulous gardening tips, humbly given. I have watched so many start up RUclips gardening videos and I am sorry to say most add nothing to my own knowledge, they just repeat what everyone else says and you just know they don't have the depth of experience but you just shone from the beginning and I was hooked. You introduced me to new varieties that I now grow and taught me new recipes. I cannot tell you how much you have comforted me over the past year when I was struggling to garden whilst getting over a broken ankle, I lived vicariously through your landscaping and digging projects, I longed for your energy. Yes, I know I fretted over you slipping on wet grass but I think you must be part mountain goat! 🤣 I am going to really miss you both, what a big hole to fill but whatever you are moving onto in life, I wish you well and thank you so very much x.

Oh, my God, Malcolm. I have watched every week though I seldom comment. My compost bins are built like yours. My canes are waiting to copy your trellis. Even my husband was shocked and I didn't know he has been paying attention. Your consistency showing up even in bad weather has been an example for all of us. Malcolm i am absolutely shocked, I was not expecting a farewell, not when you were in the throes of downsizing, awaiting a new shed etc. You and Danny formed a bond which made your youtube that little bit special, along with sharing how you do things. I will miss watching, even if i garden in pots and will be in raised beds only a few no where near allotment size, you brought a bit of my homeland with you. Thank you for your amazing and informative entries each week, I have learned so much and got so many ideas. You have a very natural and down to earth way of talking to the camera. You are the best channel I have found so far more than equal to Charles Dowding, I think it is because you garden for fun and food. Unfortunately I only discovered you around 6 months ago. I am relatively new to Utube and have only today found how to make comments! So here is a comment I would have liked to make re a late summer/early autumn video when you showed 4 tomatoes which you said that you were taking home for Mrs K to try freezing. Well I freeze all of my excess tomatoes simply by placing them in large freezer bags or boxes according to type (plum, cherry, red, yellow, normal, beef etc). They cook beautifully and the skins drop off. I wish you and Mrs K blessings in the future on your allotment and in the rest of your lives. I will miss you. Thank you again, Janet

Even my husband was shocked and I didn't know he has been paying attention. Your consistency showing up even in bad weather has been an example for all of us. Whatever your reasons to stop filming are, please know that you have been a blessing to many. Please consider making an "I'm okay " film in a few weeks or months!?

I've read quite a few comments and there isn't a single thing I could add - from your soothing voice to video- friendship, sharing the good and bad times, watching your garden evolve, anticipating what your solution will be or simply what's next. Cheering you on ( the woodchip scoop earned you a very loud "huzzah!!" that woke my dog and partner up!) Malcolm i am absolutely shocked, I was not expecting a farewell, not when you were in the throes of downsizing, awaiting a new shed etc. You and Danny formed a bond which made your youtube that little bit special, along with sharing how you do things. I will miss watching, even if i garden in pots and will be in raised beds only a few no where near allotment size, you brought a bit of my homeland with you. Thank you for your amazing and informative entries each week, I have learned so much and got so many ideas. You have a very natural and down to earth way of talking to the camera. You are the best channel I have found so far more than equal to Charles Dowding, I think it is because you garden for fun and food. Unfortunately I only discovered you around 6 months ago. I am relatively new to Utube and have only today found how to make comments! So here is a comment I would have liked to make re a late summer/early autumn video when you showed 4 tomatoes which you said that you were taking home for Mrs K to try freezing. Well I freeze all of my excess tomatoes simply by placing them in large freezer bags or boxes according to type (plum, cherry, red, yellow, normal, beef etc). They cook beautifully and the skins drop off.
I wish you and Mrs K blessings in the future on your allotment and in the rest of your lives. I will miss you.

Hi Malcom hope you see this, I have loved every single one of your videos of how calm and soothing your voice is. It is sad that you are stopping but I hope you still enjoy the allotment with Mrs K without having to worry about filming, editing and uploading 2 times a week. Youv’e taught me SO much. Not about gardening exactly but about consistency, stay-at-it-ness, process and planning.
