Here’s my tips for my experience personally:
1. Try your hardest not to cry. My eyes got super red after crying from frustration, and it freaked me out.
2. You may need to stop and come back. My eyes where red, irritated, dry, and my eyelids felt stretched out my first time. So I left and came back. (I got it in the next time.)
3. If you’re like me, I basically had a panic attack. I would start hyperventilating when the contact was anywhere near my eye. If this happens to you, stop. Try again another day.
4. If you have to revisit the doctor, it’s okay! This is a hard process because you’re doing exactly what you’re not supposed to do (nature wise). You’re not a failure, and you’ll get it soon.
5. Don’t stop as soon as you feel if graze your eye. For me, it felt like I was pressing lightly. Don’t press hard. You’ll feel it once it’s in.
6. The videos make it look much easier then it was (for me atleast). Don’t get discouraged.
7. Lastly, you got it! Be proud of any progress you make. If you get it in the first visit, then great job! If you get it in after 2 weeks, then great job! Keep trying, you’ll do it!

Yes! Finally someone who doesn't insert them like a maniac. People putting them on the white of their eye are wild. Risk of a scratched cornea go way up with that method. Always place contacts directly onto your iris/pupil.

Here’s a tip to check if your contacts are inside out or not;
1. ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS OR ELSE THEY WILL BURN
2. Place your contacts on the highest part of your palm under your pinky finger. Doing this is much easier and I have rarely ever put my contacts inside out!!
First time doing this. My contacts kept flipping around since I have soft lens, but it was easier if I did one side at a time, like the top half of the contacts first then the bottom half.

How to actually do it without frustration and discourage:
1. Make sure your hand is clean (we do not want dirty hands in your eyes which can cause germs)
2. Take your contact lenses and go to a room where no one is around (make sure you have a mirror)
3. Take a few deep breaths and slowly put it in your eye after stretch the skin..
4. It may take some time for you to get it, but I’m pretty sure you’ll get it soon
5. Put your contact lenses 2 hours before you need them (so that you have sufficient time to put it)
6. After applying the lenses, slowly close your eye and roll your eyes while they are closed to put them in the right place..
7. To take them out, slowly use your fingers to take them out gently
You will get it soon ❤

It takes me 10 for one eye 😭
just a tip for anyone who struggles to not blink, before putting in your contacts, wash your hands and put artificial tears on your finger and just practice touching it for like 20 minutes a day. It will help desensitize your eyes to flinching and make it much easier to put the contacts in (i know this worked because that’s what I did lol)

I have found the best way is to not look at the mirror but look at the contact as it’s coming straight towards your eyes, this is just how I do it

I am considering getting contacts. I have pretty big eyes and the idea of this is absolutely terrifying.
I love skydiving, bungee jumping, hang gliding, BASE jumping, but putting something on my eyeball freaks me out.
This seems extra hard with Asian eyes… but this dude is a PRO.

as of now the natural reaction is for my eyes to snap shut whenever anything gets near them. any time I get my fingers or ANYTHING near my eyes, they immediately shut outside of my conscious control. kinda like how my heart beats on its own.
HOW do I get contact lenses in, do I just keep trying until my mind gets used to touching my eyes? or will my mind never adapt? I also cannot do the puff machine ever, no matter who does it.

Here are some tips. i got contacts a while ago.
1. ALWAYS WASH UR HANDS
2. BE PATIENT, and understand that itll take more than one try
3. Take breaks.
4. Your mindset- If you tell urself ur not gonna get the contacts in, you probably arent
5. I was always scared that something was gonna happen when the contacts touched my eye. Trust me. Its not as big of a deal as some people make it

I've never used a mirror. Just hold lid open, place on center of eye. Wait one second before releasing lid and looking downward. Let it settle, should just take a second.

This technique didnt work for me... i found that breathing and use my finger to prepare myself to not blink when i actually trh to put the contact in, and then i tried a few tecniques and found out the best was to pull the lower eyelid of lets say right ehe with left finger and grab the lens and put on tbe lower white of the eye while looking up works the best ! Ofc tve mirror sshould be at eye level .
I now put them in at the first try the only thing that bothers me is those annoying moments where i have to wait for my hands to dry out before i touch the contacts
